@@nultyjack8219 Clifford, in my view, probably isn't as stylish but is the perfect physical specimen of a footballer with the skills and temperament to match.
Not to say that he isn't stylish just not as stylish as Walsh. McDonald for Mayo used to have that look when kicking a ball that was just different.
In saying that, Walsh will underperform more than Clifford ever will, physically he is a terror as well even with all the other gifts he has been given. Even when the ball might not drop for him, his pure presence will be enough to help the many talents of Kerry.
@@Hedgebets100 fair point . Kerry have other takebts too but great see u recognise clifford talent Sean oshea and paudie clifford also class players in their own right if kerry keep hingry can see them winning in 2023 too

The Mark is a travesty to Gaelic football. Fantastic to watch the great players turning it on at the highest levels an matched by great commentary as well.
I agree. It's a joke. Ruins the flow of play. Many potential goal chances spoiled.Fielding the ball is part of the skill set.
years back I thought the Mark was a rule borrowed from the Oz Rules but now I see its merits, It rewards a clean catch when the ball is kicked from distance, keeps the skill alive and keeps excessive hand passing out of the game
Why does it exist?
Didn't realise how good Clifford was under a high ball, he is serious big game player. Even loss to Dublin in 19 and Tyrone last year gave standout performances in defeat finally got his much deserved all Ireland that kid has it all.
You didn't see Shane Walsh play did yeah ?
Clifford had support and other forwards up front, Walsh was a one man show...But Clifford is a great player too...but that Kerry team will not dominate like Dublin did, or Kerry teams of old...

@@gooch8121 O'Shea, Paudie and David, Gavin White, Diarmuid O'Connor, Jason Foley too. Killian Spillane, Darragh Moynihan, there's loads of youth in that team. Same can be said for Galway though, Jack Glynn, Daly, McHugh, Molloy, McDaid, Tierney, Finnerty, etc etc. Loads of really promising young panel players too. And Mayo are a team looking good ages wise, bar Cillian and Aidan their age profile is very low
I knew Clifford was a great player but Walsh was brilliant yesterday for galway.2 great players and performances.
The fitness of these lads as amateurs would make premier league players blush....
I love Kerry it is my favorite team!

no he isnt bets on that day but clifford is ffs disrespect all year he was great all year bar vs limerick wasnt playing. Walsh wasbt great vs derry but not his fault but clifford had imoact on every game he played. He is best walsh close second though but suppose u galway man or hate kerry

The Mark won us the All ireland, glad we won but the mark is absolutely wrong and ruins the flow of play, 18 mins before the first point from play. Galway played a great game and just ran out of legs towards the end, didn't have the subs.

What's changed in the rules in recent years with regards to steps? He takes a minimum of 8 steps here before that score. Was 3 steps just scrapped?
Used to be 4 steps, now it’s 4 seconds because some players move far too fast
It was also advantage fyi so point either way
when a player is being fouled they are usually allowed extra steps

Kerry were lucky to win but more goals would have made the match more exciting.

Ffs how were kerry lucky to win, they created more chances in the 1st half, but sloppy, nervous finishing cost them scores, were sharper and more focused in 2nd half, and deservedly won.
