Great video and update. Really like the running and some great sounds produced. The resin rubbish looks perfect in place! You have perfectly executed the super elevation as well. The running shots at the end really showed how good they look. Awesome video, Clint
Good video and nice to see the new stock too. That Transrail 37 weathering job is great and it would look so right on on the coal containers. Get in touch with Dean Park and see if he'll swap you his Cawoods livery set :-) Those and the red Kellys ones worked in South Wales in your time period.
Looking good. Nice class 47 Speedlink train towards the end. I’ve been looking for a Centro Class 150 for a while at a good price. I’ve got the Centro 158. The 150 not uncommon in Cardiff at the time.
Great video and always love to see new purchases!!! The weathering you have done looks very good indeed and the decal scar looks very realistic. Cheers Kev
That was wonderful to watch your trains going around Nice a slowly I think you get to enjoy it a bit more doing than just racing around all the time, lovely layout to. Camborne central
Love the stain and boltholes where the depot plaques were removed. That's a nice touch! I played a part in the Centro Class 150 from Bachmann. I provided livery information to them a number of years ago, and this one was an example. Despite my livery diagram, they did get one bit incorrect, and that's that the stripe above the windows should be Rail Grey, and not white as they have done. If I can make one small suggestion... the ploughs were white on the front, but the back and the brackets should be black. A little carely hand-painting will make a lot of diffrence!
Thanks Laura. I was keen to add the depot plaque scar. It took a bit of experimentation to get right, but it looks well now, particularly from normal viewing distances. Regarding the ploughs - blacking out brackets is on the jobs to do list. I need to do my 37s too !
Hi Marcus. Since you extended your layout it's coming on a real treat 👍🏻 New camera is looking good too ✅ The X8 car HST is impressive along with the rest of your trains. Well done and keep the excellent work up 😀 Stay safe buddy cheers Stevie.
Great layout. Very impressed with the segments I have seen. Only new to seeing your RUclips channel. Loved the Fly tipping area. Just a suggestion to add more. Model a discarded Mattress, Finely cut up tiny bits of paper and distribute about the area to make it look like ripped bags had blown their contents about and either a burnt out car or vandalised one, broken bicycle or motorbike. Keep up the good work. Cant wait to see more.
Marcus, I can’t understand how Hattons could have such erratic build qualities. Glue is minimal yes, one axle box but other than that three I have run perfect with no problems. Love your layout Marcus, Jon
Love the virgin/IC rake of coaches. Can I ask what size plasticard you used for the super elevation? I've had big problems with Bachmann mk1s derailing on mine, everything else seems fine though.
Super Elevation, so how much if I may ask did you decide to raise that outer rail on the curves? I ask as I did the same on my own layout using 1mm mount board strips........Best regards Dave.
Your station is Arriva trains wales which came about in 2004 and you have a billboard of a Ford Focus mk2 st which came out in 2005 so surely a 57/3 or 6 would go perfect with the layout
Nice vid - you must be too young to remember your favoured period ?! Unfortunately I’m not, it was seeing 60019 in its new shiny red paint that got me back into trains and models
Hi, I noticed the port Talbot steelworks backdrop on one of your previous videos. Can you remember where you got it from? It would really suit my layout . Cheers
Hi Jonathan - a lot has happened since I posted last . I’ve moved house so Gowerton Parkway is no longer. I am however going to build a new railway soon :-)
@@GowertonParkway I look forward to seeing it and thanks for sharing Gowerton Parkway. They helped keep me going during lockdown and reminded me about the joys of railway modelling. I've only got space for an MPD and my interests are of a different era. Gowerton is an impressive layout and I liked your amusing comments about the drivers passing your house and the 'guy' who drove the van.
Hi, how did you do the Plate Removal Scares are you called it, as it looks really smart, and effective? How did you practice the method before you took to doing it on the model itself...Thumbs Up 👍 I Subscribed some o this ago, love your contents.
They were just done using a fine brush and some enamel paints, and a little bit of wethering powder for thre more 'orangey' streaks. I just went straight in on the model, didnt bother practicing. Probably a bit stupid lol

Great update Marcus, trains running through the banked curves looked so good especially when the PFA’s went through! Cheers Darrell
Thanks Darrell - got to love those PFA's !

I’ve been saying it over and over and I’ll say it again! You Brits know how to model!!
We do try !
The weathering on the 37 is excellent and really looks the part.
Thank you - Much appreciated !

Thanks Stevie. I am pleased with how things have delveloped since the expansion. It has gone from an OK layout to something I can be proud of now.
Looking good stations are looking great

Thanks very much :-)
Great stuff 👍 thanks for the update !
No problem 👍
There is some serious track elevation on the fast line at Doncaster station. I couldn't believe how high the outer rail was.
Very enjoyable really like the super elevation

Welcome aboard! Glad you are enjoying. They are all really good ideas. I have been pondering how to do a matress, and I think I have a cunning plan !

My thoughts exactly Jon, it seems to have been a bit of a lottery regarding the 66s
Brilliant layout and get progress
Thanks very much
Love the virgin/IC rake of coaches. Can I ask what size plasticard you used for the super elevation? I've had big problems with Bachmann mk1s derailing on mine, everything else seems fine though.
I think it was just 1mm stuff, it was basically whatever i had lying around !
Great running session👍
Glad you enjoyed it, it was a long time overdue !
Interesting layout, one to watch.
Glad you enjoyed it

Hi Dave - I have used 1mm plasticard.
Enjoyed that, the new camera is looking good!
Thanks mate. I was sceptical about forking out for the camera, but the layout definitely comes out more true to life using the new camera !
Superb video Marcus vast improvement

Don't forget the tail lamp!
Where did you say you got the black bagged rubbish from?. Love the layout. Chris.

Its my own photography that I stitched together in photoshop and sent to a printer .
I should do some South Wales Freight vids too.
I have just seen the one you did. It is looking good mate
Where do you get the Vacuum Pipes from when you detailed the transrail class 37
They are ones I have collected over the years from various detailing packs out of models
I haven't seen any of your videos pop up for a while. I hope things are well with you.

Hahaha, good luck getting it out the loft. It is well and truly stuck in there i am afraid.
