I love wheeling at night, brings a whole new experience to off roading. Another nice video Ronny!
Every time I watch a video by Ronny, I learn something. Even tho I don't as yet have a 4wd
Cheers Ronny and everyone that was out there that night, Had a wicked time meeting you guys and it was cool to see those rigs up close, Once the lockers are in, I will be sure to give that rut a go again. Corey ( the bloke with the Navara)

+quaddingsous appreciate the feedback 👍
Thank full that i only live 10mins away from the start of the track always looking forward for the rain season.
Your old mans Jeep looks sooooooo good with the new wheels
Good work guys...Thoroughly enjoy your vids and luv the Cruisers.
I found your channel last night and I'm hooked. your videography and editing is spot on! I do a bit of wheeling. I'm over here in the US, more specifically Las Vegas, NV. keep it up Ronny!
damn these v8 cruisers sound good with 3inch exhausts !
Really enjoy these videos Ronny. I'm watching from here in America (Alabama) and trust me there are a lot of guys here that wish they could get a 79 series Land Cruiser. Just a fantastic off road vehicle. As a previous owner of a Jeep JK I just wanted to pass on a heads up for your brother. The Chrysler 3.8 motor is known for oil consumption. Mine would burn about 3 quarts every 5000 miles (8000 km) and that was a vehicle that was less than two years old. No smoke from the exhaust and it ran fine but it burned oil. I've been told the issue is because workers at the engine assembly plant failed to stagger the ring gaps on the pistons on a large quantity of 3.8 engines. A good friend of mine had a 3.8 JK that was a year earlier model and it did the same thing. Just wanted to share that so you guys could keep tabs on it. Keep those videos coming. We love the drone shots of the landscapes. Just a beautiful country.
+Red Horse thanks mate, FYI Brian is my Dad not my Brother 😉
+Ronny Dahl (4 Wheeling in W.A.) LOL Sorry about that. He does great camera work.
Another great vid Ronny, great stuff
some damn good cinematography on this vid. keep up the good work!
This is amazing. Great video.
+acrz861 appreciate the feedback
love the Jeep and Ronnys dual cab, but gotta love Torbens single cab
big fan of this channel
Love the vids Ronny!! Keep it up.
Love your work mate
Another great video Ronny
Good to see the Wrangler with some new shoes.
I would love to meet you guys some day, I'm from Canada and so much of what we do and what you do is the same but at the same time so different! -cheers
#buildgoals I have an 04 Toyota 4runner that is being built as an overland vehicle. still a long way to go, but trying to doing it right the first time. thanks for all the videos and great information
My those Toyota Diesel V8s sound good!!!
I realised last month that ur dad Brian Dahl works next door to me haha 😂 I was like that Jeep looks so familiar and it looks so nice and well setup in person love the videos keep em coming
Thank you !!!
that sure looked fun..nice rig
great video again Ronny keep em coming
I love Ronny
great video, just wondering any chance of a modified on a bravo? they seem like a good vale first 4wd. cheers
awesome stuff!!!
Well I do enjoy your show just a shame that I am so far away in QLD keep up the good show thanks
Great video
Nice 4x4 action
some sections pretty HARD though
It remainds me of The Devils staircase in Highlands on Sri Lanka
Did a SOLO with my Nissan D22, 3.2 L + Nankang AT tires & no lockers
Loved every bit of ot though NOT KEEN to return on a SOLO TRIP again
Great video as always. It would be nice if you include a scene of food preparation since it is so important part of the trip 🍝🌭🍖😋
4 wheeling at night with a couple of mates, loud Aussie rock and a couple of beers is the best. Drink driving only on private property, of course.
Have you been further in down Goorie road? It's very pristine once you take a right then left turn, lots of little dirt bike tracks shooting off in all directions too. Surely you'd have a bike for that tray!
Dude I love there toyota landcruisers!!
As much as everyone recommend arbs I think I'd have to go for an ox. Seen too many arbs not working, but having limited funds I went for a spartan and it's been amazing so far.
awesome video please upload more 🍻
+51uty1 will do 👍
Thanks for sharing such great adventures! Keep them coming. the 79 gear ratios in gearbox diff and transfer case are stock?
Well done Ronny another awesome video and good advice. Looking forward to the next one. Where we going?
+Brett Kuhnold Will give you a hint; lots of sand...
can i give you a hot tip!, never ever jump start vehicle like that, always attach the positive (RED) first (to the battery) then the negative (BLACK) last, clamp the negative (BLACK) clamp of the jumper lead to a solid steel lifting point on the engine rather than the battery terminal, its due to two thing's one doing it the way you did can spike to your car's computer and secondly when you flatten a car battery it gases's so gives flammable but extremely explosive gas as you make contacts with the negative terminal it always spark's, not such a big thing as most of you run dry cell batteries but yup wet battery's fume (and get rid of them cheap crappy skinny jumper lead's they cause more problem's that there worth) ,,also thank you for some great vids guy's keep it up.
thats the danger, a flat battery vents gas a very Volatile Gas that explodes, its why you put your last (black) lead on to a steel part of the engine, saves spiking the engine computer as well, 25 year's as Diesel Mechanic
connect the fully charged batter first with both jumper leads, then clamp to the Positive (red) lead to the Positive of the flat battery, then clamp last lead to a spot (steel) on steel like the engine from what i know and seen most cars have at least one lifting lug somewhere around the fornt or back, then you wont blow your self up
some of the best trails we have here in Oregon, USA are powerline trails..
Look at that JK flex in the extra footage at the end. It was like driving with autopilot!
You need a Land Rover in your lineup so let me come adventure with you guys
Awsome video
Iv done the Maundering Powerline Track it was great
awesome ✌✌
So glad I’ve Atleast got rear lockers on my taco!
hey Ronny! just wanted to ask Torb's opinion (or yours) on the factory toyota bar, rails and side steps. Would he recommend them over say ARB or any other brand? and were they much dearer or cheaper than ARB or other brands?
Thanks !
good video
That JK without lockers makes everything look so damn easy.
+fordrac1ng81 It does, that traction control is amazing
+Ronny Dahl (4 Wheeling in W.A.) I thought the JK comes standard with elockers... by the way awesome video like always man. Are those aftermarket HID headlights on the wrangler?
+hjemis I think only the rubicon comes with a factory rear locker
hjemis
Rubis come with front and rear e-lockers. this is a base v6 with QTII. and the headlights are LEDs
+fordrac1ng81 Yeah, that Jeep really does make a lot of that look pretty trivial. The wheel travel (articulation) on it really shines at the very end of the video.
very nice!
What kind of locker do you have in the front end? it looks like an LSD?
Super
Any other United States subscribers here? Wondering what you guys think about putting lockers in an f150?
Zach Novosad Yep I'm in South Texas. I have an 04 F150 lariat rwd that does great without lockers but it only sees dirt, not big rocks like these guys. Lockers would be awesome for wheeling like this or I've seen some people weld their diffs (Not sure on long term affects though, so be careful with that one)
+Robert Hull yeah I've decided against it. My 01 will see some light wheeling but nothing into the mountains or rubicon trail. Too long of a wheelbase. Mainly going to stay my daily/work vehicle till I can afford payments on an FJ cruiser
Zach Novosad My Chevy Colorado came with a rear locker and I have found it to be very helpful in several situations. I would certainly suggest at least a rear locker on every 4wd.
Nathan Bidwell like I said, my truck isn't going to see much adventure. I'm going to save for a true 4wd for off-roading. Not a light duty work truck
Zach Novosad me, California/Oregon. I have a 1997 Toyota Tacoma SR5. haven't done much off-roading, but I plan too once I bring my truck up with me in college.
Have you guys thought of doing the simpson desert crossing? It would make for a bloody good few videos
Nice line at 3:33. I guess a skid plate can make up for bad wheel placement.
+Kevin Letterman Im glad I wasn't the only one cringing about the Navara's underbody!
+Jonathan Hoy what navara?
Rapid My bad, the Colorado. For some reason i thought it was a Navara!
+Jacob White well this is awkward. What do I know? I'm only another Hilux driver haha
That Jeep seemed to have the measure over the Toyotas and Holden!?
Ronny, great vids!
What type of drone were you using for the aerial shots? Well done!
Phantom 2 but now I use Phantom 3
question... is that Holden an auto?
I see he was idling with no gear engagement on that first part.
that was when he banged the chassis quite hard.
Best to leave it in gear, with foot off clutch....
Hello Ronny,Why you change your mud tires fot a AT tire?
on ya corey!
I've seen jeeps or SUV'S with a pipe that looks like a silencer attached to the engine bonnet....
What's it's use... Or is it simply for style..... If not, then how does it help the car anyway...????
Red Led On Little Bear Truck 👍
hey great quality footage. what camera do you film with?
+jonah strainic that was shot with a canon xf300
Nice 1 Ronny!
when you coming to tackle the high country?
+George Kyro hopefully one day mate
WE are still waiting for the snow to melt in the back country here...
you shoot some quality stuff man! u deserve more subs... unfortunately, youtube is full of gamers n just exotic car lovers. lol...
Those clouds were fckn gorgeous... i do nature and wildlife photography. So learning from your videos has been wonderful... is there somewhere i could throw a donation?
Hi Ronny. Love your vids bud. Do you guys use standard lockers on your cruisers?
+MrSly870 yea they are
Ayy the jeep has new wheels hahah
I see a lot running the sidesteps that connect to the bullbar. How strong do these compare to true sliders?
Hi Ronny. Having watched your clip about front versus rear lockers, how much did you use your front lockers in this power line run?
+Steve Baker I used the front locker with the rear ONLY at that big rock step/Boulder section. Apart from that I use the rear locker most of the way with the front diff open.
Whats your opinion on suzuki jimnys? with lockers, would they still be able to do all or most of what these cars are doing?
+TheGrandElk Jimnys with the same lifts and lockers would eat most things up. That short wheel base makes some things/sections easier but does make some situations more dangerous as they are more likely to roll over as are other short wheel base vehicles. If driven right they are very very capable in my opinion.
Cheers Ronny. Absolutely LOVING your content!
What is meant by lockers?
Your LC, Ronny, sounds like a BEAST! What engine do you have?
+Marcus Nystrom it's the 4.5 turbo diesel V8
Oh nice! Too bad we don´t get that engine in Sweden :(
I wish we could drive on the powerline tracks in Norway.
But no. This is the governments stance on things in Norway: "Fun? We'll have none of that in Norway!"
me too
whats the cameras you use to shoot these videos? they 4k?
eoic vid as usual
+Fred Weaver thanks mate
+Ronny Dahl (4 Wheeling in W.A.) anytime mate got notications on so soon as ya post i watch it and i live in bunbury so love seeing all the trips you guys do down here just wish my frbie worked (electronic gremlins )
do those guys in the green jeep ever just smile
Are your trucks manual or automatic?
Little bear- that's quite a big bear
What lights are you using as wheel spotters?
👍
I KNOW
Thanks for the video Ronny. Just curious, why did you guys not just camp/hang out there and continued early morning with the first sunlight? Or are you guys vampires? ;-)
+mauiman52 we would love to but it's not allowed and putting that on video would send the wrong message I guess. Also we went there specifically for a night run as it gets very hot during the summer days in the west Australian bush 👍
+Ronny Dahl (4 Wheeling in W.A.) Oh, we weren't aware off that this is not allowed. Thanks for explaining and happy sweating. Greetings from rainy California and keep up the great job Ronny and Brian
+mauiman52 there are a lot of places you can camp but most of those are 200km+ from the states capital (Perth). Within the 200km there really isn't much to choose from that's not over crowded and these spots are not really what id call 'real camping'
It looks like the Jeep got new shoes.
Modified. 2007 (4th gen ) toyota 4runner.
How the heck do the power line workers get through that!!?!! Here in the USA that would not exist! lol
Our power company people just wouldn’t accept it lol. There would be crews and equipment fixing that immediately lol. Just wouldn’t be like that lol. I used to work on electrical systems for decades and that would just be a big NO! lol
Happy Trails mate
Is the jeep still having overheating issues? At 8:13 it looks like there's steam coming out the front.
+JC D it did a bit, turns out it was a build up of mud from the past few years between the air con and radiator. It's all cleaned out now so hopefully that's it 👍
where did u get ur light bar covers from??
What year are the cruisers
where do i get that little shield thing that says little bear on the bonnet?
+Ryan Claridge any country vehicle accessory shop or trucker shop if there is such a thing.
+Ronny Dahl (4 Wheeling in W.A.) thanks Ronny
Does anyone know what that intro song is or is it something he made?
I'm drawing the 79
