I recommend just hovering around for several battery packs.
To get more control feel, try LOWERING the exponential values on aileron and elevator dual rates.
also increasing the high throttle curve values from 60 to 65 or 70 may give more stability after the initial six or so flights. just small adjustment tweaks if necessary.
