Using this with a volatile asset might be a bad idea. If your limit price gets gapped, your order won't execute and you'll end up bagholding so people should be careful with this. If you NEED to get out a regular stop loss is a better tool.

this is perfect, i have been missing allot of trade setups knowing when a good entry is, but just, missing the entry time because i wasn't online or i was too slow executing the order using this kind of order should help fix that problem for me, thanks for confirming that it is what i thought it was :)

I like how you mentioned stop limits on gains. I think one of the biggest mistakes I've made is wanting more but not keeping a safety not on my already existing gains. Deciding how much of your gains you want to risk for an increased reward is just as important as picking a stop loss at the beginning of a trade.

You what happen to me , if you like to mention to your you tuber, I have on march 12, bougth nvidia , then when up to 600+, after that star falling ,i got it at 470, so when DOWN to 530 , I stop loss 503, when to work till 1am, the market close at 505 that day and re open I was Sleeping at 501, they sold at 497, them when up to 550 and reach 670, So sad, totally my falt , i did not for the day , and the difference close /open is very inportante. men so frustrated, panic sell and i did wrong

STP was 18.o5 and then you entered stop limit to 1800, which mean you expect this stock to go up then you decide when to sell, is that right?

I can see stop limit orders being useful on really volatile spiky stocks or cryptos. But normally I just use stop losses without a limit.

Yeah but you fail to explain Pre and AH trading.. and STOP LIMIT order do not ext during those time.
So why would I need to go into extended hours trading if stop limits aren’t a thing during those hours? Lol
