I was at this show. I was probably the one screaming the loudest through the set, every word to every song. Hope I helped Jesse feel like a real rock star while on stage that night haha. I think crowd consisted of maybe 100 people. Was a small gig, but lots of fun.
I just recently saw jackyl and I had the greatest experience. I was sitting at the bar after the show and the sound guy came up to me and asked if I wanted to help load out the band and of course I said yes. I got six drumsticks and a couple picks and it was amazing. So I got to touch the drums speakers and guitars that they used even though they were all in cases already but it was still awesome!!!!
Great story man. I've been a die hard Jackyl maniac since I first heard The Lumberjack in 1992 in my college dorm freshman year. I've see. them about 50x since my first time in 1994. Once on a weekday in Chicago circa 2005ish, there couldn't have been more than 30-40 people in the whole place and they STILL brought their A-game and threw down so hard, and even as usual waited at the merch table for a long while letting me ask 100 different questions. I have a pic of JJD strangling me somewhere in the cloud, LOL.
I bet I'd give you a run for your money! Lol...I'm going to my 51st show this Thursday. But I told JJD once, "I thought I was absolutely your most rabid fan...until I met some REAL crazy motherfuckers!" Ha! People who've tattooed the Jackyl dog all over their body, and one crazy chick who had her entire car professionally painted like it was a Jackyl greatest hits album cover. I have a photo of that somewhere....rock on brother!
