- The final battle with the leader of the beastmen commences. After getting rid of Timp and Viral, lord Genome appears with some personnel bodyguards sent to him by Gaioh.
Notice how there is a lot of interesting quotes between Genome and our gang. Most interesting of which are the quotes Genome has when fighting Getter Robo and Mazinger Z.
After a long and tough fight, Genome is finally beaten by Simon. Moments before his death, Genome warns that the moon will become the messenger of death for the planet once the human population of the planet reaches 10 billion and with those ominous words, Genome's life and the reign of the Spiral King and beastmen is over.
This SRW Z2 Hakai Hen gameplay video was recorded (RemoteJoy), played and edited (Camtasia Studios) by me, it was recorded from an actual PSP.

@JackgarPrime For Mazinger, he mentions how Mazinger looked so similar to a certain god. The god he is refering to is Zeus. The fact that Genome has lived for thousands of years and actually met Zeus makes it interesting.
For Getter, Genome mentions that the Getter Team does not need the power of evolution. The power of evolution refers to the getter rays. Getter rays and spiral energy is very similar to each other.
man lorg genome seems to know a lot about the team's mech even more than they do plus another awesome video and your longest one so far
Thats the beauty of this game. You have characters from various mecha anime meshed together in the same universe.
It was difficult for me at first but my knowledge of Chinese helped me to figure out most of the Japanese kanji in these kind of games. For beginners, its good to familiarize yourself with all the basic menu commands first so that you can understand the game and how to play it.
i've just played this game for months and fought this boss yesterday, and damn, his MAP attack wipe my team out
tip for every hard boss in this game: gather your team around him, dont attack yet because this will give him VT to use MAP attacks that will usually cause disaster to your team. Next turn unleash everything on the bastard (strongest attack+soul, valor, brave...), try to finish him in 1 turn.
I love how the theme music from each anime plays I have Super Robot Taisen MX Portable and I love Grendizer's theme music when it plays and I would love having Gurren Lagann's theme music playing every time he attacks.
Came for Gurren Lagann stayed for the Gundams and Big O.
Its a strategy game much like Fire Emblem, Ogre Battle, Advance Wars and Disgaea where you select units to go fight other units on the map. There is actually a lot of planning and strategy which I have conveniently skipped to go straight to all the badass battle animations whenever a unit fights another unit.
this is hands down the most glorious thing in existence
I find it funny that this was the level I got stuck on during my first playthrough of a SRW game, not knowing anything but movement, attacking and some senshin
The only 2 English language games in the -main- SRW series to be released to date are Super Robot Taisen Original Generations 1 and 2, released about a year apart on the Game Boy Advance(2006 and 2007), I believe...; both are notoriously difficult, with the latter being utterly ruthless at some points...a single mistake can literally render a mission unwinnable!
@Enlightenedopinion92 Certain pilots have a spell/seishin called 'Invincibility' that reduces all damage to 10. That is why some robots only get 10 damage in this vid.
It would be epic the fact that Simon finished Genome with giga drill breaker.
No, he is the main character of another series called Eureka 7.
They look similar because both animes were produced by the same studio which is called Bones.
I like how "interesting" those dialogues are, especially when you're basically skipping them. At least I've played this myself, so I'm good :P Good job on video.

@ultimater200 He basically tells Heero that there will be nothing but despair waiting for him at the end of the battle. Heero replies that he doesn't care about the future as his current mission is to kill Genome. Genome is amused and proceeds to give Heero a taste of despair.
@guzman737 Genome says that he can feel the presence of a being who is not a human(this refers to Eureka). Renton refutes that Eureka's heart is human. Genome than asks how long can Eureka maintain her human heart and Renton replies that he'll protect Eureka and will fight anyone that harms her. Genome than says that fakes like Eureka exist only to cause ruin to humanity and thus their existence cannot be allowed. This is also a reference to Nia's eventual fate as an anti-spiral puppet.
God I was so hyped when Heero was said "Target....Lord Genome!"
Well, the Brightslap worked on Shinji in past games (especially SRW Alpha 3), so a Kamina-level punch and speech could potentially turn Shinji into a man.
It also helps that the basic user interface(menus, skill placements, etc) have remained more or less the same throughout the series...in other words, if you've played one, it's much easier getting into another! :)
@KnightMan222 The world of SRW Z states that several worlds were forced into becoming one world. It's possible that inhabitants of different worlds have different body structures and functions, such as the ability to produce Spiral Energy.
Have you ever noticed how many people say that Simon "clings to his bro" so much in the anime that everyone shat bricks, never expecting him to be back from an emotional breakdown.
Damn, watching this brought back great memories from all the various animes Ive watched :p

2.Is it when you upgrade your attack its simultiotusly(sorry for wrong spell) or single upgrade
Its a crossover of over 20 different mecha series where all their universes are merged together.
PSP. But series has been around since 1991 so you can pretty much find a SRW title for every system.
@ElleRoni Kappei tells Genome that he will beat him. Genome calls him a fool. Uchūta and Keiko then say that Genome is tough and wonder if they can beat him. Kappei then says that he will not retreat no matter how strong Genome is. Genome is slightly impressed, says that he will not hold back and will be sure to obliterate Kappei. Kappei then says that they definitely will not lose.
The new limit is now 100 million.
It's funny. The Armored Trooper is one of the smaller mecha in this series, yet it delivers a very punishing hit to the Lasengan
A few things I'd like to know:
What words does Genome have with the crew of Zambot 3?

What's the new human extinction condition Genome forewarns about? Surely it can't be the original limit of one million humans, so does it have something to do with the '100' in the text?

@leothewhiteranger He knows that Lelouch is one of those with the power of the kings and warns him that such power will cause him nothing but utter loneliness. Makes sense since Genome killed all of his spiral buddies while Lelouch will be backstabbing everyone and making the world his enemy.
@Zetagreen19 At first, Jiron says that he is gonna avenge Kamina and all the other humans who died because of Genome's Beastmen. Genome then replies that beating him because of revenge is a lame reason. Jiron than replies that he will not lose to someone who belittles the life of humans. Genome that replies that he is the one protecting the planet and all life on it. Jiron then says that Genome's way of thinking is twisted and he will defeat him.
I hate how tough Rasen-Oh is. Attacks twice in a row, regenerates 9000+ per turn, hits like a tonne of bricks. Fuck. Even worse how the entire game up to him is a walk in the part, and suddenly he's kicking your arse.

@180223 I'm willing to bet that Zeus and the other 'Greek Gods' were in fact other Spiral Warriors from Lordgenome's time.
As for the Getter Rays, it's conceivable that Photonic Energy (Mazinger), GN Particles (Gundam 00), Getter Rays and Spiral Power are all the same thing. They all certainly have a 'evolution' theme going. Plus they're all green.

Roger Smith pretty much calls him a dictator/douchebag for forcefully taking away peoples freedom. Genome tells Roger to show him if his strength can match his big talk.

well you can... but only on certain emulated Super Robot Games that are subbed so far (Alpha Gaiden and J,) but they how to get and download them is up to you cause i have no clue how

actually if you watch Parallel Works 8 you can see Getter Robo, Getter Robo G, and Mazinger Z and that could be why Lordgenome was talking to the Getter Team and Koji

Super Robot Wars, epic in a nutshell topped with giant robots from every corner of the universe duking it out.
I always though it could have been possible that Kamina was severely injured and Simon still feel guilt. It just goes to show Simon would have had an easier time against Lord Genome if it was Kamina inside of Gurren. I was curious about what if Tengen Toppa Gunmen( Gurren, King Kittan,etc)
1. If you were allowed save Kamina, Simon's character development would be shafted and a sequel won't be possible.
2. Kamina's stats are extremely broken early in the game, he is one of the pilots to get Valor first unless you're not grinding your GL.

@180223 Actually Lelouch is the one who gets backstabbed in the end. And he was wrong, Lelouch managed to use the power of the king to bring about what Genome couldnt: Peace. Of course, the next game might have it go differently.
Well, there is a Spirit Command in SRW (I think it's called Invincible) that reduces damage taken from one attack to 10. I haven't played Z2, so I don't know what Spirit commands the Nirvash pilots have, but I'm assuming that at least one of them has it.
Because scripting a boss to do next to no damage to non-spiral power units would make him hilariously easy.

Didin't Haran Banjou from Daitarn 3 be the ONLY person to actually frighten Lord Genome, where even Someone has Full of Spirit and Hotblood as Simon or even Ryouma couldn't do?

@blankmansuper No. Rossiu satisfied an VERY angry mob by putting the blame on Simon, put him in an extremely unfair trail in court, took over Simon's position as commander, took away his drill, and puts him in a jail where the veteran beastmen from the battle with Lordgenome are locked up and they are pretty pissed off at him!
Is there an english version of this game or am I fucked?

Im not entirely sure now, cause time have passed but, it was something stupid, like... just prepare properly for battle and give him your best attacks -I think-. Now you make me remember that i haven't finished this game yet, gonna go back to it right now. Savegame awaits me.
