Wow, thanks for the info on Michael Carroll, we went to college together. I haven't seen him since 1993, didn't know he had a channel. I started searching for him and found this video. I am so glad he remained consistent to his calling. In college he started an organization called "the Angry Children of Malcolm X." His work is finished, well done good and faith servant. What a blessing. Thanks again.

The darkness of his perspective is probably a result of isolation, which is often the case when you don't have relationships to counter the stories we tell ourselves. Mike was at the University of Akron which is in Ohio while I was there. I never had a class with him but had many conversations on campus. He was very passionate about his beliefs but very respectful towards me, my opinion and position.

Was waiting from you. Didn't realize you dropped a vid back in November. It's sad. I will miss this old curmudgeon. His words were harsh, but they couldn't be refuted based on the truth he kept in his "warchest". But yes, it's true, if you don't have to live this type of life you shouldn't. And if you do, at least have a some type of lifeline where you know someone will check up on you. I went to college with Mike Carroll and we both wrote at The Buchtelite at Akron U from 1996 to 1998. We made videos and did a radio blog in the early 2000s then he flat turned on me around 2010. We never spoke again. When I got away from Mike I became a better person. Mike spoke I’ll of the dead all the time. He got pissed with me because I erased all our original videos in 2009 because I thought we were inviting death upon us by the way we were speaking about people. That’s when he started his own RUclips channel. I swore if I saw him again I was going to punch him in the mouth. Mike was a liar, a womanizer, and a pure dirt bag . I moved away and getting away from Mike was the best thing that ever happened to me. I go back to Akron quite often and someone told me he asked about me. Despite our falling out we had great times together. We used to hang outside Angel Falls all the time and thrash preachers. From time to time I would tune in to see his videos. Today I was working and I just looked him up and saw that he passed. I’m sick. I’m speechless. Mike had his flaws like everyone else but he will be missed. I knew him for 20 years I will miss him.

I remember David saying in his last video that is wasn't Covid. I also remember the live show Tommy Sotomayor did a a few days ago around the time of David's last RUclips video. Its was when the trolls came in Tommy's comment section and Tommy kept daring them to keep spamming a disrespectful word in his comment section and I saw David Carroll spam the post, David & Tommy were cool, so someone had to have hacked David RUclips account. Seems very strange.

I think the greatest part of his legacy was the videos that he's made and how we are at a point of no return. At the time of his passing, the Black Community is falling apart and the so-called leadership continues to profit. I didn't like every aspect of his personality but you couldn't refute his research and analysis of the culture and how it is eroding black men and black women. The future is bleak. He knew it. I often listened to Bro. Carroll and enjoyed his commentary which were backed by his research into the socio economic history of blacks in this country. He was a very intelligent and well read brother. I always wondered what he did for a living. Does anyone know?
@Haseeb 2 I have no idea. I'm thinking he perhaps had a trade or skill. Something tells me he was on social security disability. He loved his cigars and maybe it caught up with him in his last few years which made him vulnerable to this covid virus. Mere speculation cause I didn't know the man. I enjoyed his commentary even though I didn't agree with 100 percent of everything. He said things that many folks felt but didn't say cause of the verbiage and the "shock level in your face" real talk it required. I have no idea what he did for a living, but I'm curious.
He was a professor at a state university. Unsure of which. I believe history was his area of expertise as he obtained a Ph.D.

I know he hinted he studied at college and I don't doubt he was educated. However, his fiery, no holds barred commentary on race , politics, eugenics, and women would have compromised his occupation as a college instructor. That's just reality , especially in this cancel culture atmosphere. Carroll once mentioned how he would not be accepted in a corporate environment. I would find it hard to believe he could maintain a position as a college professor at any level based on his controversial RUclips channel.
@@thehound6437 I don’t have the exact video he referenced this but he has mentioned this in his older videos he recorded walking in public. Along with his love of history. So much so that he pursued a doctoral degree in the field. I have listened to his social commentary ever since he transitioned from writing his position in blog posts to making videos. This is something that can be found but will be a bit difficult due to his catalog of content.
