Thank you.
Thank you for sharing the video. I have a similar problem with my 2004 Camary. Now have confidence to fix it.
Thanks so much! I've got a 2002 Camry and I needed to do this and following your instructions it worked really good.
Glad I could help.
Thanks for sharing Danny, it was very helpful!
THANK YOU! JUST BOUGHT A 2003 Toyota Camry LE mainly for my GF. She crashed it the second day just got it back from the body shop LOL! She hit a parked car in a parking lot thought it was total loss. The other car I am afraid maybe. Fortunately nobody in the vehicle. Noticed that the shifter light was out was worried what would happen when she starts driving at night LOL. Only other issue with the car is the passenger lock it won't lock have to put the key in the driver or passenger side and move it clock wise to lock.
Update it was the regular LE model had a hard time finding the bulb. Didn't actually find it but pressed some connectors in heard a snap now the light is working?
Thanks man your instructions are very good God bless
Thank you
That was very helpful Thanks a lot bro!!!
Thanks. I used 2721 and that seems to work well also
Thank information
Thanks very much! Can you provide a link to purchase the bulb? Also, how about other bulbs such as the climate control backlights? Do you have a video about that?
Thank you I've been always wondering 🤔. However I'm going to swap mine with a led extra bright 🌞
What is the LED light that will replace the original?
90981-11014 double check this part number on eBay. 2003 Camry shifter light
Was really difficult to get the Bulb back in the hole. The bulb slips out of the socket and was lost up inside the mechanism. I appreciate your time but I had more problems with this than you did. I think its the Sylvanna 74 bulb I purchased isn't quite the right size. I would recommend buying the exact bulb from Toyota. Otherwise, your video worked great for me..
It’s like a condom lmao
Hahahah
Funny guy lol
HahahaH
I'll try. Could it also be a fuse issue as light on right sun shade out too?
I really don't think it's a fuse
What's the bulb size for a 2002 Pontiac Sunfire SE? Need to replace.
I believe it's a number. 194 bulb
I've a 2004 Camry. Ordered a package of 2 2721 Sylvania bulbs. waiting on it and then I should be a good to go. Any flathead screwdriver will do right?
Yes just take your time so the plastic does not break. Good luck
Check on ebay, there's guys on ebay that have camry's and sell the parts.
@@dannysautorepair Is it possible to get the shifter knob off to get the plate on mine?
I have the same Camry xle in white what bulb size is that?
I believe it's 74LL
Should I wear gloves like with a Halogen bulb to keep the oils from my finger off the bulb?
No not really
good job..mu cluster dashboard lights and that won't work at all also the lights for the ac control!..any a Edea mu car is a 2002 Camry LE
Check your dimmer switch and see if it's turned all the way clockwise, also check your light fuses on your fuse box, if that doesn't work then maby there are blown bulbs inside your speedometer or a electric short. Hope that helps
blow fuse was the problem..a 10 amp.
Great job.
If that light is on a fuse, would it be with the dash board fuse or does it have its own fuse???
Yes there's a fuse for it might be a 10 fuse but if your clock is working then the fuse might be good, check the bulb or connector
What’s the plastic part called ? The hard plastic cover ? Thankyou
If your talking about the long plastic cover I took off in the beginning , it's called the center console bezel
Do you have to put the green cover back on ? mines ripped
No it's fine without it.
@dannysautorepair Do you think it adds brightness ? I just installed it with out.. but its yellowish
@jonathann676 not really it's just a cover
What size is the bulb
74 LL but check at the store when you buy it just to make sure for your specific model and year
Mine sometimes works and sometimes doesn’t, like 50% I have a shifter light but 50% if the time I don’t, and sometimes it comes on randomly while driving, what could cause this?
Could be that the bulb is loose or an electrical issue..
@@dannysautorepair I will check it out, thank you for the suggestion, I’ll let u know what I find
Use bulb 2721. It's narrower than 74 at the base.
I replaced it and it never came on. The bulb was burnt out but the new one is on and it didnt light up any recommendations
Check out your fuses or try another bulb just in case that one was defective
Okay thanks for the quick reply I will check the panel fuse or ?
And I will rety the other bulb
Yes
Can it be replaced with led bulb?
I think so if they have it.
What about the lights where your a/c controls are located, can that bulb also be reached with simple process?
I'm sure it all pops out you just gotta be careful
@@cedthatruth3706 To get the electronic a/c unit out you have to use a plastic trim removal tool and gently slip it behind the lip where it sit's flush in the dash and gently work it out. There are two big tabs one on the Right and one on the bottom Left corner same type of tabs that the center shifter console has. There are 6 small bulbs behind it that are slotted and you use a small flat blade screwdriver and turn them 1/4 turn counter clockwise, you may need some small needle nose pliers to pull them out gently it does not take much. These are Toyota specific bulbs and they are $5 each very tiny and have there own plastic base so you cant just change the bulbs. I just did mine a few weeks ago. Once the AC panel is out there is a large connector behind it just push the small tab down and pull it off then you can take the whole unit out, it is pretty easy. The lower bulbs you have to take off the black plastic cover on the back of the unit, held on by 6 gold screws which gains you access to the lower bulbs and the center 3 bulbs which light up the LCD Display. Part number is 90010-03055 for the 6 small bulbs, dont know what the center 3 are as mine are still working, the dealer can help you if you need those. Hope this helps.
Its like a little condom…….hilarious.
