If Adobe has brain, they need to support you in anyway, shape or form, if they're not already!!... I used procreate like craze but I stumbled on your channel and decided to give fresco another try... And I am a fresco-er since. Truly babz, you're incredible and you inspire me everyday to keep my passion of art alive 🙌 Much love ❤️
Thank you so much! Definitely not sponsored by Adobe or anything… I just like Fresco. I certainly wouldn’t mind any support they wanted to send though, lol. ☺️☺️☺️☺️
I was going to quit fresco and go back to illustrator. You have saved the app for me, just from the couple of videos I’ve seen. My mouth was on the floor with this one. I had to watch like 5 times.
@@chris-piascik Thanks so much! Going more into detail was super helpful. Turns out I was making the mistake of attempting to use this feature while still having the vector brush selected. I see now that I actually can sample from a vector graphic without issue, so long as I switch to pixel before doing so. Makes sense! Will be very cool if Adobe eventually adds the capability of essentially stamping with vector graphics similar to how this feature works. I love the scalability and tend to favour vector because I'm used to working in Illustrator but Fresco is definitely inspiring me to expand my pixel-drawing horizons :)
Ok I've worked it out!! It didn't work for me at the start but the trick is: 1: Release the eyedropper BEFORE releasing the modifier to keep the multi-coloured swatch. 2. Use a brush in a large enough size to show the whole image.
Great tip, once I got it working! It would appear not all brushes handle multi-colour. My brush was ‘pencil’ and it just mixed the two colours into one. It worked when I selected a standard brush.
Thank you so much for your calmly instructive videos. I am a beginner Fresco user, and I’ve already learned a lot from you. Just wondering, can you save an eyedropper brush to the iCloud library so they can be used again? If so, can you do a video on that?
Hi- I am new to using Fresco on my Ipad and am finding it really unclear how exactly to use Eyedropper tool in the way you are showing. I am fully unable to get my ipad to save the selected image I would like to replicate further, especially in the way you are doing with sculls -which is the way I would really like to use it myself. Can you perhaps explain why my Ipad might not be saving selected patterns and also, which tool to u use to so elegantly stamp the selected image as you did in this video? Great info on your channel btw-much appreciated.
Make sure you have the brush selected, then double tap the modifier (the little circle on your artboard), you should see the center turn blue. Now just tap and hold on the spot you want to turn into a swatch/stamp. You should then see the area you selected in your color swatch. Double tap your modifier to de-activate it. You can now draw/paint with it. To use it as a stamp you'll want to select the most basic brush, (hard round) and then just tap your screen. Hope that helps! This video might be helpful as well: ruclips.net/video/PkaNF6t1DXA/видео.html
New to Fresco..if I use my finger to do the eye dropper, it doesn't copy the design for tapping on like stamps after that. It just does a regular brush dot. I'm confused lol. I'm sure it's just me.
Hmm not that I know of, but maybe you inadvertently turned it off? Though I don’t know if that’s possible. I’ll try to remember to check later when I’m on my iPad.
@@chris-piascik Thank you for you reply Chris. Hopefully one day I will be able to get an ipad. Update: I just did it, there was two problems, first I need to select Multible colors with Eyedropper. Second, I was using the pencil, but in order to use your copied object you have to be using any other brushes. Thanks chris for the amazing tip
I switched to Fresco too after watching a few of these vids. I still use procreate when I need to get some basic shapes or a container for lettering But I quickly jpeg it and work in Fresco :)
Hmm are you using the vector brushes? If so, that will not work because vector brushes can’t be a stamp like this. Other than that I can’t see any other reason it wouldn’t work.
Yeah i was using vector brushes.. let me check with other brush types.. And what about that 3D strokes u wrote "oh" with? Which brush should i use for that?

Hah! It’s such a cool feature.

Loving this - trying it now - thanks
👍👍👍
I can't seem to get this to work consistently and am not sure what I'm doing wrong!... Would love if you can show this in a more detailed video :D
Oh no! I’ll try to do another longer video soon, but in the meantime this will probably help you out: ruclips.net/user/liveSygJoxbJ4OQ?feature=share

Real cool tips, can’t wait to try them out! Since discovering your channel I am moving further away from Procreate and towards Fresco.
I have learnt from you how to animate my works on Fresco! You are so great!
Glad I could help!
Where is the rectangular selection

Ahh yeah, the way it looks will depend on the brush, some brushes have too much texture, but it can lead to some cool results!
Thank you for sharing!
My pleasure!

Thank you! Unfortunately that isn’t an option yet, but I imagine that’s something they might add.
So awesome!! Thank you for your creative tips. So here’s the question. Is it possible to save this stamp as a brush for future use?
Yes you can! In the brush menu.
Wow!! This tip blew my 🤯
Glad it helped!
Nahhhh …I’m convinced, this guy is a beast with drawing. 😮💯

To be honest I don’t know. I’ve only ever used Fresco on an iPad.

It could be that you haven’t updated your app. Is it due?
I’ve been trying this for ages but simply can’t make it work! Following the instructions and it’s creating the stamp but it won’t stamp!???
I need to try this ASAP 🎉
😎😎😎
This was a huge help ❤
Glad to hear!
Amazing 🤩 thank you!
No problem 👍
Awesome!
Thank you!
I don’t know why but it doesn’t seem to work for me it just selects the color even if I’m touching the touch modifier
HOLY FUG! THIS IS A GAME CHANGER!!!!🎯🎯🎯
Crazy right??
Do I have to enable touch modifier in fresco? It doesnt seem readily visible
Hmm not that I know of, but maybe you inadvertently turned it off? Though I don’t know if that’s possible. I’ll try to remember to check later when I’m on my iPad.
Whooooaaaa ❤❤❤ thank you! Awesome tip
☺️☺️☺️
Unfotuntely I could not do it. I am using Adobe fresco from laptop, is there a way I could do this from Laptop? And thank you in advance
Hmm, I believe the computer version is the same, but I’ve never tried it, and I don’t have a windows computer to check. I’m sorry!

Hey what brush did you use for the gradient?
I believe this was Kyle’s Inkbox “2 Smooth 2b 4gotten”
Love ittt❤
I tried this trick but its only working in watercolor can you please help md whete am i going wrong
Hmm it should work with any pixel based brush. Maybe you were trying it with the vector brushes?
Im grateful i found your RUclips! Can you please make a tutorial on how to do animations like rhymzlikedimz in Fresco!?
Thanks, I’m not familiar with that, can you share a link?
does this work with vectors?
no :( just pixel!
Will that only work for that canvas
? It won’t be there when you start a new document correct?
I think so, but I believe I heard that they’re working on a way to save them in an upcoming update.
I switched to Fresco too after watching a few of these vids.
I still use procreate when I need to get some basic shapes or a container for lettering
But I quickly jpeg it and work in Fresco :)
Fresco has snapping shapes in their beta, so I imagine it will be added very soon.
Okay but I need a step-by-step on how you made that skull a brush with texture lookin’ like aged ink on paper..!!! 😮😂💖👻🖤
How to turn off pen pressure??????
In the brush menu there’s an option.
@@chris-piascik thanks!
Holy mackerel!!!
Thats so dope! I will have to play around with 😱
Definitely a cool feature!
Sorry Procreate. Im done.😶🌫️🤯😶🌫️

Hmm, are you trying to use a vector brush? Vector can’t do this.

Are you using the vector brushes? That kind of thing isn’t possible in vector…

No matter what it won’t work.
The multicolor swatch? Have you made sure you’re not due for an update on the app?
