They are tight wire connections and they require quite a bit of force to remove. The best way that we have found to remove them is to grab onto the connector with a needle nose pliers as we show in the video, then while pulling down on the connector, wiggle it back and forth to help break it free.
@@PartsDr Your response is so appreciated! You were right, and you gave us the confidence we needed to try again with more force and successfully detach. We're waiting for the new defrost heater to come via UPS and hoping that it's all we need to get our fridge running again (our inexperience caused us to damage the existing one trying to remove it. If it wasn't broken before, it sure is now!)

We're stuck on roughly 2:30 right now- we just can't get the wires to disconnect from the defrost heater! Any suggestions?
