Honestly, even if the timing of the lights was off I think it made this even better by accident. The transition was a shock on its own, but when the lights finally went out it was way more surprising, because it was just so unexpected by that point for the audience. Either way, this was really awesome. I would have loved to have seen this type of thing at my school when I was a kid.

He makes an obvious mistake at 0:45 and at 1:06, then the transition is off-beat while he makes another mistake at 1:10, and the his piano playing and "Still Dre" are in noticeably different keys and hard to ignore during the transition. Sometimes musicians can make a key change work, but it has to be in the right keys. It sounds like he just played it in which ever key was easiest for him to play in rather than learn it in the actual key the rap song is in.
