To really appreciate the 90s properly you needed to have been born around 1976-1983 - a 90s baby would be born in the 90s and therefore the decade would be over by the time their age was in double digits. In the movie Cher was born in 1979. Not sure if it's the same in the series.

I love this show, but one thing I do not like about this show (and most 90s shows in general are guilty of doing this) is how they would suddenly end the story and cut it off at the end of the show with no recourse. In this episode, they built up this alleged relationship between Cher and this kid only to abruptly end it over some b.s. reason at the end of the show. I get why they did this in the 90s, they did this so they don't have to add continuity with people asking "what happened to that guy Cher was dating?" and to have every episode stand alone, but it's still a little annoying to watch.
actually I met before to the sitcom than the movie, I watched the tv show when I was a child and I loved it, idk why people compare to Alicia and Rachel, they're both great like Cher
does anyone noticed that cher dresses differently here? doesnt cher combines all her clothes,polo,skirts, like.. the original cher dresses like a main character. Here, she does not 😒

Dionne had the BEST outfits, even with a smaller budget ....even Amber has some cute ones here but this Cher is def basic af
