  • Last month, ISIS-linked militants attempted to establish South East Asia's first Islamic State caliphate on the southern Philippines island of Mindanao. What followed was a bid from the Philippines armed forces to crush the militants and reestablish order. VICE News gained exclusive access to embed with the Philippines special forces to learn about the realities of war on the front lines of Marawi.

And I think the U.S is considering or have already withdrawn their soldiers from fighting because they don't get any benefit from it, which is bad for the innocent people in the country who needed protection. I don't see how they will keep this kind of wars if right now they're actually considering on not fighting them

I'm not sure that's the case. The LRR is serriously undermanned. In the Zamboanga crisis they were at 40% strenght and were reinforced by 45 NAVSOG operators. I'm sure the same is happening here.

Apparently American SF Advisors established The Light Reaction Regiment made up of the best men from Scout Rangers,Recon and Navsog back in 2002 and was activated in 2004 and since then they've been the most effective! Special Operation Forces in the philippines unlike Special action Force.

Also the Filipino government had no standing army in WWII but they still fought along our guys bravely Additionally the government of the Philippines dumped their entire gold reserves in Manila Bay rather than let the Japanese get their hands on it and the Filipino people suffered greatly for that but it didnt stop their resolve to fight an overwhelming enemy and be victorious God bless the Philippines!!!
