- Pop Will Eat Itself reformed in 2010, initially with only Graham Crabb (vocals) from the original 1986 band. Since then Richard March (guitar) and Adam Mole (keyboard) have also rejoined, as well as long term member John ‘Fuzz’ Townshend on drums, thus recreating a near original line up. By the crowd’s reaction, everyone at this PWEI gig thoroughly enjoyed themselves. It was a ‘best of’ tour and there was no shortage classics and even a new song thrown in, 20 songs in total. I recorded these five:

I would have recorded a few more but there were a couple of people around me whose very loud conversations deterred me. Regardless, it was a great night from a band that continues to defy being easily labeled, rather still pushing musical boundaries, all the while having a good time.

still a great live band, I miss them every time they come out. Hopefully will catch them in the UK in the next year or so

I was talking to a guy from Adelaide while we waited for the doors to open. He'd flown over for another concert but decided to stay an extra night to see PWEI as well. Sorry Adelaide you missed out again.
Nice one Peter. Was hoping Fuzz Townsend was still drumming for them but this guy does the job. Great band, wish I was there, good one.
Glad you liked it Tank. I must admit I'm not really a fan, and it was Jesus Jones that got me there. Still, I do know several of their songs and it was good seeing them live. I'll be seeing The Damned for the last time (if the publicity is to be believed) in two weeks. Looking forward to that one.
@@Peter_LiveMusic How was Jesus Jones? I was going to see them in Melbourne, but due to having to recover for surgery, I did not get to see them.

Unless I'm going blind that's Richard on guitar and he's always been a founding member of PWEI so Graham's not the only original band member.
You are right. Sorry, I don't know the band all that well. And I don't know where I got that info from. Adam is also an original member so that makes three. I'll correct my description. Thanks for pointing out my mistake.
@@Peter_LiveMusic no worries, just glad to see footage of them. Came via your Damned video, seems you Aussies get a load of decent bands touring down under. I was surprised the crowds were there to make it viable for these 'heritage bands' to travel that far with crew etc.
@@user-fp7jm6uz6g No, I appreciate you pointing it out to me. I don't want any inaccuracies in my descriptions. This is peak touring time down here. The northern hemisphere bands are escaping the cold weather. We get a good selection of 'heritage bands' but they are often the same ones every couple of years. There are plenty I'd love to see but they are never going to travel this far. I live in hope.
