These shoes are very tight on the top, due to the snug sock-like fit. Assuming you are stuck with this shoe or it's non-returnable, has anyone tried cutting the upper sock on the top slightly to loosen up the tightness, to see if it works better? If the upper sock loosens up too much, we can fallback on the laces?
Wonder if trae hates lacing up his shoes, thus why adidas is reducing the amount of laces on his shoes. He seemed to really love the next levels from what I can recall.

But atleast with this model we can see that adidas is definitely making an effort to fix the fit and lockdown issues of their shoes. It's a shame though cause I kinda liked the look of this shoe
I owned the shoe got it for USD$17.49 size 11.5 US MEN’S my colorway is the Chinese new year 🧧 version with the rope laces it fits me especially in the mid foot extreme well I have flat feet normal width I will say I switched the rope yezzy 350 style laces for flat ones because on the medial ankle bone side of my right foot the rope laces hurt quite a bit to much pressure against the right foot medial ankle bone but once I did it got a lot better and I quite like it now

Im a flat footer and i like my shoes to blend with my foot. Will trae 2 be a good choice? The way it is made looks like itll adapt to my feet. I dont mind getting a bit uncomfortable if its durable for its price.
It should be a durable shoe, but the Trae Young 2 is honestly one of the most disappointing shoes this past year to me… For us flat footers you’ll experience some soreness from the upper squeezing your feet too much, and that’s even after sizing up - so not recommended based on my experience.
I'm pretty bummed to be honest. I love watching Trae hoop but his shoes have been a let down, at least that's what I think. He deserves better from Adidas

For me it's a great shoe. I play combo guard. I think it's a good shoe for guards.
