On the question about coupling, one can find plenty of examples of various different train types throughout Europe coupling and uncoupling at intermediate stations. It's very much a daily occurence for many operators here.
Interessting to see a change in Traincompositions to less weight and saving energy. But why is there still so little change in America in terms of the type of energy used on the railways? At least in regions with infrastructure, the new vehicles offer the opportunity to convert to electric traction! Soon Europe will have been running on electricity for 100 years... The development and research has long been completed and Stadler knows the electrical components for bogies. "rockets" on rails take the people further than those into space.... Split trains connect the outer regions and share a track slot in the centre. this increases efficiency and reduces operating costs.
Great video! Is there a higher resolution version of the slide deck/video?
Great presentation! Very interesting.

In England, track circuit integrity for signal activation is enhanced with the use of an induction loop underneath the car.
