- Hello! We have another fabby video for you again, today. After our first mad dash to get across France in under 24 hours, we then headed across Northern Spain to Malaga to meet friends. In this instalment, we take you on a tour of an epic van life park up hidden away inbetween Malaga and Marbella. We rested here for a few days with our friends Mike, Jack and Goff and then headed off with Goff to El Rocío on our way towards Portugal to complete our mission.
Once in Portugal (the next video) we'll start looking at off grid land and will take you on our journey as we look at remote land in Central Portugal.

We'd been 'stuck' in the UK (again) since returning to see loved ones over Christmas while we wait for our D7 Visa for Portugal. After nearly 6 months of waiting, we are finally off! This was a mammoth task as we haven't had the Covid vaccine, so we have to transit trough France to Spain in 24 hours or less! (see previous videos) We've now arrived in Spain and start our journey towards Portugal. Follow us on our adventure to the sun! AS we start looking at for land in Central Portugal in a few weeks.

As a curiosity, It is not that the Rocio looks like a town of the American West, it is that the first settlers of the West were Spaniards from this part of Andalusia, and they made the villages similar to El Rocio. They also introduced horses and cows, and the way to guide the cattle that were used in that part of Andalusia, which is known as Rodeo. Likewise the clothing, spurs and hat, as well as the zahones, comes from the farmers of "Las Marismas" next to El Rocio. So the origin of the western cowboys are in that part of the World. In the other hand, El Rocio has sandy streets because they are designed forhorses as the main users.

Another brilliant Vlog guys, thanks, I'm flying to Spain on Thursday to my house near Alicante, do you have to get a separate driving licence for Spain and Portugal and also France, as I intend to drive my Campervan down later in the year? Thanks Dave, UK driving licence is fine all over the EU, but you do need an insurance green card since brexit. Enjoy Spain from Thurs, weather is gorgeous, albeit a tad too hot some days

On van have to matriculate to Portuguese plates and take a driving test 😕
@@TheWildlandersOffGrid I'm not 100% certain but I'm pretty sure self converted campervans can't be matriculated. Worth checking early on.
Oh we have 😁 we've found a company that will do it for us, they've got no problem with a self build, happily!

Can you buy your and without a NIF number ? I thought a bank account and NIF are needed ? Lovely Vlog ,are the park ups free?
We have a nif and bank acc now 👌
So far bar the first rest place in Spain all our park ups are free, lots of free Aires to ❤️

Hiya guys, question for you. Did you have your dogs health check(rabies etc) actually checked? I think I saw on your vlog you said something about it. But is it like when you had the pet passport coming back into the country and you get it checked and dogs are scanned in France? We are moving to Portugal either later this year or early next year and trying to get everything sorted (dogs are all jabbed up now). We are just waiting on selling the house then we need apply for our visa’s. I saw the trouble you are having and hope you do get it sorted. Love seeing your progression to the life in the sun. Hi yes we got ahc for 3 out of 4 pets as Juan had a Spanish EU passport. That and the ahc were checked at the eurotunnel before passport control. We're in Portugal now 🇵🇹❤️ good luck with your plans and see you here! Still no news on our visa!!!
Hi guys bit of advice before start me trip and prob going to sound daft, this is for when i park up for a long time I have me van battery linked to me lessiure battery , I have one of those all powera battery and one of those smart charger things i was going to but that onto my van battery to keep it topped up rather than turning engine on so not to annoy friends/collgpues who out tenting can you see an issue with this ?
my engine attery lets call it A
my leisure battery that uses alterator to charge call B,
my back up battety All powers call C
and smart charger plug item D
C will be plugged into D and D willbe on A and obs, if i dont Turn on A , how to I charge item B , as im trying to be a nice neighbour witu setups as i be working with them for a few months any idears welcome, just trying to figure a soultion if you have one i do have new battery in Van just worried about it standing to long, any advice greatly appreciated.
