All of these were lovely. Where was Khorkina, Bouginskaya, Miller, Mo & Moceanu? A Chinese gymnast's name escapes me though her routines remain memorable. The Chinese are choreographic giants. A floor routine is more than just choreography. But a routine that doesn't neglect it is a very well composed exercise

How come these Netherlands don't win like The Americans, Russians, etc.? I never understood that. As much as I love Simone biles and other gymnasts like her who always win, lack artistry like this. Simone's artistry truly makes me cringe, but she's powerful! Gymnastics, isn't it about artistry, too?

Because gymnastics is a sport. If you’re only doing level 10 tumbling with some pretty dance you’re not gonna win. This is elite gymnastics - difficulty is required.

There is nothing wrong with Simone's artistry. Its adequate not stunning. Her turns are difficult & her leaps are high & solid. But, it is her tumbling & execution that is unrivaled and it gives her a big advantage.
