My mother had 5 sisters all born b4 1912, and all were quilters, cooks and crafters. Every year we handmade our ornaments with velvet, satin, sequins, beads etc. My favorite time every yr would be spending evenings in front of fireplace creating ornaments. I so wish I could find the patterns we used. If u know of a place where I could find them I'd love it. Such wonderful memories as a child
I’m going to be 52 in November and Christmas Magic is a MUST in my home. When it comes to Christmas I’m a little girl that will NEVER grow up.😜😁 I LOVE ALL of your videos but so look forward to your D.I.Y. projects. I yoinked when you started your channel The Cozy Christmas Cottage you were in my brain.🤣😂 Thanks for sharing your projects. Have a wonderful day.🤗🎄
Last year I made advent calendars for my granddaughters and filled them with little items. This year I'm filling them with ornaments. You just made my task so much easier. Thanks, Shannon!
For Daisy scouts and religious Ed we made advent strings of candy with twist ends. You glue them together as a chain then you cut ribbons to tie to days with a message. Use like bubble gum, taffy or tootsie rolls or any candy with twisty ends. The kid take one off a day till Christmas.
Years ago the clear ornaments were glass. We poured acrylic paint in them, swirled around and they turned out so pretty. I still have them. I am giving this video. Maymake some for staff at nursing home where mom resides.
Just getting started!!! You are so ahead of the season, but that's the name of the game!!! Love all ideas, especially the gold leaf ornaments!!! TFS ♥️ 🥰
I live far away from my grandkids, but miss doing Christmas ornaments as I did with my kids. U have inspired me to make several bundles to send them for their mom to make some of these ornaments! Thank u!
I love watching everything you do but my favorite is the Christmas decorations you are the best crafter I watch on RUclips and I am ready to start crafting with my grandkids and now I have more ideas to craft with them so thank you very much and Merry Christmas 🎅 🎄
Fantastic ideas! Loved the little top hats, then you showed the cookie cutters, name tags, etc. everything is so, so cute. How you possibly come up with all these idea, amazing!
You are just soo creative!! I liked every single one you made and an going to try and get started to make and give for Christmas this year! Thank you 😇
Oh my goodness Shannon...all of your diys are awesome! I love them all! As always Shannon, thank you for sharing all of your hard work, creativity, talent and inspiration! Stay safe, healthy and positive! God bless you and your family! 🙏❤️🇺🇸😊🌲
I thought absolutely “all” were great. I am going to save this one and try several. Some for gift (bonus gifts) , stocking tags, and the tree. Great job and looking forward to the next video as well
You are going strong already! We are all lucky that you share your ideas with us. I really liked the dipped ornaments and the clothes pin snowflake. That paint brush Santa could also be a gnome with a tiny tweak to the design. They are all great!
You can do the glitter ornament with floor cleaner like mop and glo. No waiting. Just pour it in , coat, drain excess, and add glitter shake and you're done.
Hi, I am so happy to see your video's Are these DT items that you bought this year to do your DIY's, or from your last years buy? I was just at our DT yesterday and saw some glass Christmas tree's in (red, green, silver, and gold)But couldn't figure out what to do with They were holo and I think the hole in the bottom might be the size of a tea candle, not sure but am excite that the Christmas craft things are coming They said this all they had got, so far 🙂I am going to try you clothes pin snowflakes and make them vintage looking, (in colors of the time and also glitter)
Many are from last year or supplies I bought last year and saved to craft with early this year. I hope DT replaces their back to school section with Christmas SOON 🤞🏻
I love Xmas crafts! These ornaments are all so cute!!! Love your Xmas channel and that you start posting early. I made your tealight ornaments for my grands last year. They loved them!
Your ornament ideas are amazing. I'm using the same decor last year and wanted to add new ornaments. You gave me so many ideas at an affordable price. Great work & creativity!

Shannon my 9 and 7 year old grandkids want to make snowman from pop plastic lids would they big enough if so how would we do that? Crafting is still new to me. Thank you so much
Shannon, I bought some really cute tea lights ( waterproof) which came with cute crystals from The Dollar Tree. Can u show me/ us how to use those in a cute way please?
Thank you so very much ! I've been working on my Christmas projects. These easy, but super nice, ornaments and gift embellishments are exactly what I needed to kick my creativity back into high gear! Beautifully done, Shannon!
Love this video Shannon! Where did you get the thick candy cane pattern yarn for the snowman tea light? That’s one of my favorites and I can’t find it. 😔
What kind of glue do you use for the gold leafing? I just found some at dollar tree but haven’t used it yet. I want to use a glue that will hold. Thx!😊
I love all of these ideas Shannon! It's hard to pick a favorite but I love the candy cane Rudolph and the alcohol ink ornaments. They really look like stained glass...gorgeous! I also love that you spray painted the little metal sleigh. I have a few of those that I haven't used and now I know what to do with them because gold is pretty neutral. Thank you for all of these ideas today! Oh...and I love the Santa Cam ornament and the Santa paintbrush too...really great ideas and so cute!!
Kathleen, I am certainly not the DIY lady but I happened to come across your comment and how something looked like stained glass. I don't know if you bake during the holidays but if you have a window (like in cookies or in a church or gingerbread house) have you ever tried using good old LifeSavers? I just love to divide the windows up into panes and then put different colored crushed life savers in each pane. (Plus I never gave my secret up so it's yours now) I hope this msg finds you well and you don't mind me stuffing my 2 cents worth in. Take care and God Bless. Ellie from Texas
On the alcohol ink ornaments a funny way to do the air on the straw is to take a plastic water bottle and affix the end of the straw in the top. (Adults of course melt a hole and tape it down) then press the bottle to push the air into it instead of using your mouth. My method! I’ve done these many times.
what state do you live in? yours must carry really good items! I've gone to 3 local Dollar Trees and they don't carry a lot of items you've shown from there😩. Love your crafting ideas. thanks!!
I live north of Nashville. We have 2 dollar trees in one town 1 in the other's around me...14 just in town's around me. Then since I'm close to KY I have 3 more. Then more then a dozen in and around Nashville where my daughter lives. None of them ever have any of the things in these videos. My family lives in Maryland and my husband's in California none of them either. It bug's me.
New subscriber here!!! I have my own channel and your videos are definitely going to give me more inspiration on my decor!! I can't wait for Christmas!!! Love the pinecone snowman!!!
Not to step on your video but other ideas for those little mason jar wreaths. If someone doesnt have a lot of monry t9 buy lids you could use lots of things one thing that came to my mind quick was a cardboard basically o shape. Cut a circle. Cut the middle out and whoolah

M all. Especially liked the ornaments you made by spraying spay. Paint in the water and dipping the clear ornaments in.
You are just soo creative!! I liked every single one you made and an going to try and get started to make and give for Christmas this year! Thank you 😇
You could also dry the air dry clay on a cookie rack so the.air can circulate under the ornaments to make dry time quicker♥️
Surprisingly, I love them all! In so many videos there’s only one, maybe two ornaments that I like. Great video!
These are so stinking cute. Great ideas. There are quite a few I never thought of. Thanks for the inspo!

I love them all! Amazing! What cutting tool did you use instead of scissors? Keep the great ideas coming please!!!!!!!
They are called tin snips, only about $5 at Walmart. SO much better for cutting thick items like Popsicle sticks and and zip ties
They are so cute
For the water dipped ornament you can use dt nail polish for a marbled affect!
Great ideas!
Do you ever shop at the Christmas Tree store? It's amazing.
Our fall/Christmas bazaar is coming up soon.
Can you do more crafts (especially ornaments or other things that can be gifted) involving the tiny or smaller bows?

You can also use finger nail polish
Great idea!
You could paint the nose red for the Santa Claus.🎅🤶

Washi tape the inside of your cookie cuter, too.
You could make Christmas gnomes
Why do you always use chalk paint instead of just acrylic paint?
