      Sound funny I have to admit, but not necessarily it is a hipocrisy here. Depending on a person you can find both. I would say the majority of the population is friendly and welcoming, however you would also find a significant amount of people who have prejudices against other nations, especially other religion.
      Generally, I think that is the case for many countries, not only Poland. It is hard to generalize and take 38 000 000 or nearly 60 000 000 people (if you count polish people living abroad) and put them all in one box labeled "friendly" or "not friendly"

      @@sledzwoleju9172 What are Polish people's opinions about nonreligious people? For example, I am agnostic. How would I be accepted in Poland?

    • @sledzwoleju9172
      @sledzwoleju9172 3 года назад +1

      @@lifefan1 No worries about that :) Around 10% of the population is non-religious and probably the number would be around 20% for the younger population.
      Generally speaking, most people in Poland would probably consider themselves catholic, but majority of them are not regular practioners. Many people say that they believe, but do not like the church institution. Elderly people and people from rural areas seem to value religion more, but generally nobody would make any problem, as long as you are not running around shouting "God is dead!" ;)
      Regarding, my previous comment. You know how it is. People are generally scared of what they do not know/understand and when you hear about islamic terrorist attacks in the countries around, it does not change the image of islam for the better.
      Being an agnostic or an atheist in Poland is nothing new, many people are.

    Good video! My brother studied languages at the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center in California. The pace of study was intense. Students had to master the language course in 36-64 weeks. Psychologically it was very difficult, but fortunately he was helped by Yuriy Ivantsiv's book "Polyglot Notes. Practical tips for learning foreign languages”. The book " Polyglot Notes" became a desk book for my brother, because it has answers to all the problems that any student of a foreign language has to face. Thanks to the author of the channel for this interesting video! Good luck to everyone who studies a foreign language and wants to realize their full potential!

    "Odpowiedź na pytanie, jaka jest powierzchnia Polski, nie jest jednoznaczna. Zgodnie z oficjalnymi danymi Głównego Urzędu Statystycznego można stwierdzić, że Polska ma kilka różnych wartości opisującej jej powierzchnię, z których każda odnosi się do nieco innego obszaru"

    Interesting thing, nobody in Eastern Europe want to be be called "Eastern Europe" (East European Block), actually each country on the right side of Berlin Wall is Eastern Europe. Belarus and Ukraine think that they are the center of Europe also. Probably they allude that East Europe is Russia? But sneaky Russians say "We aren't Europe at all, we are Eurasia". Damn it! Where East Europe is situated after all?

    • @_Killkor
      @_Killkor 7 лет назад +21

      Geographically, Poland lies right in the center of the European continent, so calling Poland an eastern country is plain wrong.
      Poland, along with other countries, like Germany, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Austria and Hungary, belongs to the Central Europe.
      Eastern European countries are all those countries, that lie to the east of Poland, Slovakia and Hungary. (baltic states, Russia, Finland, Belarus, Ukraine, Moldova, Romania, etc..)

    • @SyberiaSpirit
      @SyberiaSpirit 7 лет назад +5

      Killkor I'm sorry, but you speak theoretically rather than factually. The therm "Eastern Europe" came from Cold War. West Germany, France, the U.K., is west and the rest of Europe is Communist East. Also, you called Finland East Europe, that's really wrong they are Scandinavian country along with Sweden, Norway. Nowadays I think East Europe starts from Poland and further till Ural maintains in Russia.

Considering the latest events in Poland, it'a hard to ignore the fact that some groups of people don't feel comfortable about foreigners in Poland, but it's also not a reason to be afraid to come while there're still many places where foreigners are more than welcomed 😉 For example we are always happy when our viewers from all over the world visit us in Katowice, so make sure to come around and shoot an episode with us if you ever happen to visit Poland 😊💕

I'm an American that learned Polish because of my friends and I've been to Poland before. So it also may be really hard if you don't have friends to practice with. Or tell you right from wrong.

      Daniel Feldman, from your name and what you wrote I guess you are from Israel. This is beautyful country and jews have long, tragic and very interesting history. the fact is that common history of 3 millions of Jews living in Poland since 1000 years was tragicaly over during second world war. As you may know during that time also 3 millions of Poles was killed by Nazis form Germany in the same concentration camps where they killed Jews. This is the most tragic moment in the history of Poland. after war, when jews with support of UN builded the new/old country, Poland was for next 50 years under comunistic occupation. anyway, now since 30 years we are fully independent and now we are on 24 possion in the world on PKB, while Israel is on 54. so I don't know why you think we are 2. or 3. world.
