9c Zoro is the bane of my existence. It’s a game ended for sure and the fact they had two in hand. Unlucky. Gg tho to both of you!!

The tech cards I play after having 20 revisions and play testing with another BY Luffy player are 1xFinger Pistol, 1xice age, 2x4c kuzan, and 1x10c kuzan. Not only for bonney but for mirror matchups where sabo isn't online yet for the opponent. The detail that BY Luffy players miss about the 4c kuzan is the extra draw which replaces your hand instantly and gives you a large board threat to be cleared where they have to spend resources to do so. I've also seen someone running 4xFinger Pistol + 4x4c Kuzan. I'm also looking if I should integrate the black 5c zombie luffy since its effect is "Trash" and not "KO" which is huge against black decks that run Sabos.
Yeah I just think that matchup is just awful for by Luffy haha. Sometimes you just have to accept the losses unfortunately
@@TheLuffyTCG for real! I've only won twice in around 15 matches on the sim so far even with the adjustments. It gets even worse when they release the blocker pedro there in the west! It can rest either 6c below or 1 don on ko.
I think there was a better line of play, not sure if enough to win but at least enough to keep playing:
Swing 7 with Ace (leader gets rested)
(2 don)Hiyori into sabo
(2don)Lil Sabo triggers big sabo draw ice age and moria (you didnt know u were going to get those insane draws but was the correct order to try fishing for that ice age and if not you still have the play to attack with garps open
(1 don)Makino last life
(2 don ) on leader for effect bring back whatever card + rocket luffy
(1 don) Ice Age age into zoro
(2 don) baby luffy triggers rocket luffy and KO zoro
That line of play wouldve left you with 3 cards in hand, of them being moria, leader at 9k and 1 life face up. Here is where the previous turn where you cleared the bonnie might come back and bite you because she is still healthy. if she were at 1 life you got this game cooked.
Yeah for sure! I fudged up the ending a little bit :) I love that by Luffy has so many lines but sometimes you miss them haha
wasnt the hordy route more dangerous then just 16K with zoro 3 times? his hordy route you lack only 2k to get out, with the 16K route you'd be down 4K to get out. wondering about the thought process there
Yeah now that I think about it he gets 8 don worth of swing for 7 don and removes the blocker from the equation so yeah that was actually the correct play for sure

i think going to 9k + 1 life +1 blocker was the play when he played out 2nd zoro. you had the potential to even go 11k with 2 blockers if you were lucky. cuz at 9k leader 1 life 1 blocker you just need to counter out 8k once (cuz if he plays hody its just 3x 9k swing which you can counter out easily)
playing luffy over sabo into life at 10 don then using big luffy effect makes you go to 0 life and draws you an extra card, then put 2 sabo into life and hope you draw into baby sabo or more 2ks
@@agentcyde5770 I think if I had done that I would have had to drop my 2 2ks from hand and play out only sabo which more than likely would have lost to the same hody play. I could be wrong but after looking at it, it put me in a slightly scarier spot with him having 4 life at the time. Either way two 9 cost Zoro's back to back was tragic haha
@@TheLuffyTCG no you still only play your hiyori. Hiyori into big luffy and use big luffy effect to get to 0 life then use leader eff to get both sabos into life and make yourself 9 by playing baby sabo then you had a chance of drawing another baby sabo (your play drew only 2 cards but with my play you draw 3)
@@agentcyde5770 ah ok fair, that could have been the play. Big gamble but I like the idea. Probably worth the gamble since I knew I was cooked haha

Have you considered the 10c Kuzan and playing it on curve?
@@ers1668 I've considered it but I'm not a huge fan of the card honestly. Just too slow

Might consider swapping Makino to Tsuru, would have let your egghead luffy kill cavendish
I've considered it, but I am concerned about not getting the necessary cards for getting to 0 life in some games

Bro could’ve boosted your power to like 9 and had counter in your hand plus blockers instead of attacking with garp
I could be wrong but if my memory serves correctly, I don't think he had Hiyori at that point. He was missing a lot of the life reducers that game
