I feel what separates this show from the boys is that alot of these kids aren't assholes yet sure they have a few bullies and mean girls but really, they are still more innocent. I like how so far the shows that for every characters abilities we see, there is a weakness to using it. The Seven are all heroes who have no weakness or a hidden weakness(A-train heart issue or Starlight needing light). Everyone in the show has an obvious weakness that makes them vulnerable. We rarely see that in The Boys since those heroes are on a whole different level than Gen V.
I know I trust the casting team behind the boys, because I was the actress that plays Emma (shrinking girl) on twitter and she had like 3000 followers and like most of the actors aren’t really famous at all, which makes me believe they just full on picked talent over connections which I respect
this is showing alot of pressures on these kids thats probably why these heros snap as adults and how driven they are as to be top in points and stuff like that.
I feel like I can't be the only one but the main actress Jaz Sinclair is absolutely killing it! She's very good. Her character is so charming and man is she cute just like the one lady said in this episode. Am I falling in love? Idk all I know is that she's doing a great job leading the show and I've not seen her in anything else before.

I think it’s because the boys is introducing to the world at the same time as the characters, and here it’s just like “yep, we’re back but different” and it allows for more focusing on the characters without wondering why everyone’s acting so shitty
Honestly I really like all the characters but Cate and Marie’s were the best especially when talking about how they discovered their powers and I love how Cate basically told her to blame her parents for what happened to them because it was their fault what happened to Marie she never got the choice to make and they didn’t even tell her so she freaked out twice when she started to bleed and when her powers started she probably was thinking she was dying. Marie’s parents chose to make a dollar by forcing her to take v as a baby. Andre is the only other kid that shares his powers with his dad (Ryan is the other kid)...most other supe parents never passed on their powers....or powers in general...crazy 😮

I don't trust that Dean of the school one bit because she's in league with Vought who care more about profits and appealing to people who give them said profits. The whole secret activity with The Woods and the reveal about Golden Boy's brother Sam. I know that episode 3 is going to be another good one and I can't wait to watch it. There was more character development and plot advancement in one episode of Gen V than 5 episodes of Ahsoka. Nostalgia bait is not plot. It does cover up for bad writing though.
It was no surprise that the girl decided in front of the cameras for the lie story, because it followed the usual laws in film and series. Whenever a character trains sentences and we viewers are allowed to watch him, this is guaranteed not to happen anymore when it matters. We've seen this 1000 times, mostly in love stories, when the goofy boy practices in front of the mirror to confess his infinite love to the goddess of his choice. When he stands in front of her, something special happens that interrupts the action and that's it. This happens so often, actually always, that you can call it lazy writing.

All this does is re-emphasize how absolutely crap Disney's Marvel and Star Wars writer/Director choices are. Massive IP's, big $$$ and big name actors and they are BAD. Here's a spin off of a deviant fairly unknown hero show, with basically an unknown cast and it kicks ASS! Great characters (Cricket & Jordan ftw) good writing, good special effects and intriguing plotline that looks like it will have some cross over with the parent show.
How can they get it all so wrong at the Mouse House?

@@daurydavis3983 It has everything to do with the quality of the product being put out. Star Wars has crashed since Mandalorion seas 2. There was more character development and plot advancement in one episode of Gen V than 5 episodes of Ahsoka. Nostalgia bait is not plot. It does cover up for bad writing though.

It was no surprise that the girl decided in front of the cameras for the lie story, because it followed the usual laws in film and series. Whenever a character trains sentences and we viewers are allowed to watch him, this is guaranteed not to happen anymore when it matters. We've seen this 1000 times, mostly in love stories, when the goofy boy practices in front of the mirror to confess his infinite love to the goddess of his choice. When he stands in front of her, something special happens that interrupts the action and that's it.
This happens so often, actually always, that you can call it lazy writing.
You misread the scene so badly, she was trying to convince her sister she wasn't a monster
