You are doing a wonderful job with the home schooling. I know that many people are commenting about the older child not wanting to be homeschooled but YOU AND JOHN were given the children to raise and the two of you know what is best. As a parent, sometimes we have to make unpopular decisions and do what we KNOW is the best for our children....even if our children (or RUclips viewers) disagree. Viewers don't get to see the whole picture of what goes on off camera but are quick to critique or criticize. Don't allow " back seat drivers" to influence how you drive your family. Have a wonderful day!
Great to see parents putting their foot down and actually being parents. Allie is too young to understand the filth that is the public school system. Florida schools have tightened up it seems. But I still wouldn't trust it. I applaud John and Alyssa for dedicating the time and money to homeschool.
They want a mummy figure for them girlie will always be mummy figure while they have the golden boy that poor child is the most unloved of the 4 I wonder what punishment she got for speaking her truth you should listen to your children
@@debbiemurphy9794 you are out of line 🙄
Perfectly said, couldn’t agree more!🙏🏻
@@debbiemurphy9794wait. What?? What do you mean their son is the most unloved??
By look at the girls they are happy to be in homeschool now. And Maci is really happy to be in homeschool with her sisters.
Alyssa, you’re an awesome mom and teacher and you’re doing such a great job with your children! They’re beautiful.
The girls are growing up so fast! Allie looks like a little lady and Maci, my goodness! Have a great school year!
You go Alyssa… keep your coffee supply on deck so you can pray, sip , and homeschool! 🙏🏽🙌🏾😍☕️
Their school pics are adorbs.
Let your girls progress as they learn. Age is just a number. Children learn at different rates, some faster than others. Keep up the good work, Allyssa!
My word those kids are so cute! I love how organized you are Alyssa. I taught in public school for 33 years and am now retired. It's wise to homeschool nowadays.
Teachers are so careless nowadays I had to leave teaching they only care about testing! I completely agree
Awesome, Alyssa! You are doing a fantastic job! I homeschooled both of my boys the whole way. They are done now, and I miss it!! Enjoy every minute! It is so worth it. You can honor God and keep your family close. So happy to see you all homeschooling! God bless!!
Oh my goodness. I know I've said this before, but the girls get more adorable every time I see them .❤❤❤❤
It’s so cute how you and Erin have that sibling connection and you both posted a “homeschooling” video this week! 😍🥰
Love that you home school your kids! Love Y’all! Love and Prayers Always
All of your children are Beautiful Alyssa and John, you are both amazing parents. The baby is growing, he is so cute.
Have a great school year. God bless❤
So cute! All of your kiddos are growing up so fast! ❤
How exciting. Great to see your girls so happy about school. Have a great year girls.🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼
Your genuine portrayal of motherhood being fun is so uplifting and has relieved a lot of fears I had about raising children so thank you Alyssa! You seem like such a sweet mom and person.
So cute! Great job on prep to start the year
I admire you for home schooling. Your personality is so beautiful. Your voice is calming. I love all your other siblings videos but your my favorite family to watch. May god bless your family during the school year. Praying it will be a awesome year. Making beautiful memories for your girls. How special. Looking forward to seeing some school videos.
Your homeschooling style is so so different from mine but I really enjoy your school videos. I love your systems. You have put so much time and effort into making the school year go well for your kids.
Alyssa, you are such a wonderful and organized homeschool mom! It’s obvious you love your daughters and son so much. Thank you for your encouraging videos! You and John were just meant for each other, you both encourage one another and love each other so much. Praise the Lord!❤️‼️ enjoy your Saturday! And Sunday!
The girls are so excited about their backpacks. Thanks for sharing. Blessings
Have a wonderful Home school year, to all you girls! I homeschool my soon to be 16-year-old grandson and we also live in Florida. You do a wonderful job with them Alyssa. Time passes so fast, it won’t be long until little man Rhett will be joining his sisters to homeschool. Hugs from the southeast coast of Florida 😎🦩🌞🦩😎
Great job Alyssa you are so well organized!! I love your set up!!
You are a very busy Mama, sending you loving respect.
Can't wait to see the new vlog and hope you guys have a great Friday afternoon and evening with the kids and a wonderful weekend ahead and can't believe school is already here for the girls and hope they have a wonderful school year and baby Rhett is so cute and adorable and can't believe he is going to be 5 months old.
Beautiful family. Good luck with Homeschooling. God Bless 🙏🏻 and Peace ✌🏻
I used to work at Abeka because I’m a college student at PCC currently. Allie is going to absolutely LOVE Miss Amsbaugh if that’s her video teacher!!! She’s one of my favorite people and I love being around her so I hope she enjoys her!
Love it ! Love Abeka gonna checkout pre school prep thanks for mentioning that !! ❤
you all are soo cute. the girls are so well behaved and little rhett looks like his daddy
Alyssa, you are the best mother!
Maci cracks me up with her facial expressions.
Alyssa-- it has to be hard to read some of these comments, and I pray as a fellow homeschool mama you can let them go in 1 ear and out the other. You are doing what is best for your family, and doing a fantastic job. Its a shame that the same people that say "they dont judge people" are judging you. We all know who gets the say in the end. Continue doing what God has called you to do! Your family is wonderful, and I truly have enjoyed watching your family grow ❤
i am so happy to see the analog clock you have up! too many kids cannot read them and yours looked like a great way to teach it.
Have a wonderful school year!
You are a great mom Alyssa. I love your sweet family. The girls are growing way to fast. Rhett is so big. He will be starting school bfor you turn around.
Great Job Alyssa! Your class size is growing! 😂😂 I remember watching a homeschooling video in your other house w only Allie old enough. ❤
Love it! Makes me miss the days of starting our days. Mine are all graduated. Keep up the great work! Don’t worry about the ugly comments. Do what’s right for you and your family.
Love the video. When you show Maci books it brought back memories. I taught that age in a christen day care where i work. Can't wait to see how the girls do ❤
You are so organized and the girls are following in your footsteps.
You do a fantastic job Alyssa.
Godbless you doing all that your pretty amazing mom kids look exciting for the new year.
So adorable! ❤️🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Thank you for making a video for these topics Alyssa!!! Our 4th year homeschooling. Littles are 2nd, k-5, K-3, and K-1.
Love the school program! My kiddos used it at the private school they went to when they were littles. They were reading by age 3. It was so exciting!
How adorable!❤
They are all so adorable, how fun to get ready for homeschool! I can't get over how big Maci is, wow! Time flies! I hope its a wonderful year for the girls, they are so blessed to homeschool!❤
I think starting them early is always a great idea.
I'm sure you know this but figured one more voice of encouragement wouldn't hurt. Keep doing what you are doing and ignore the negative comments. They usually come from people who don't really understand. People often have an idea in mind of what homeschooling looks like but even with you sharing some of what it looks like for you, they still don't see the whole picture or simply have different values. You guys are doing great!
Perfect timing as I’m trying to decide if I want to homeschool my children ❤❤
Love it! You and your sister Erin are so organized 😊 I love watching you both
So cute!
These are the cutest back packs.
Pictures at the end was so cute😊
New intro is so beautiful!! 😍
I just have to say, I love that pillow you showed in your B roll of the school room.
Girl!! I am a bag guru and with all the backpacks you bought from Becco for the girls they need to sponsor you!!!
Are you able to reuse any of the curriculum for the next child to save some money? Such as the preschool DVD's...can they be used for Rhett when the time comes?
I watched Erin's video yesterday about their homeschool setup. I think they use the same company for their curriculum.
All of you do such a good job. I wish every parent that is disgusted with the public school system could homeschool. There would be happier, better educated children. I appreciate how hard you work with your children and your dedication. Many blessings for the new school year!
Have a awesome school year 🎉😂❤😊
The people leaving hateful comments should stay in their own lane. My kids are homeschooled along with a coop and the middle child (15) is salty about it. We as parents get to make the decision, and when he goes to college he can decide where to go. That precious little girl is to young at this point to make the choice.
Never doubt what a great job y'all are doing with your children. As their parents you have their best interests at heart.
After all, public schools are government run indoctrination camps at this point.
They seem to be very isolated in front of the screen with headphones on- first impression: It seems even more passive and strict than public schools. 🧐
Those backpacks are so cute 😍
Gotta love that Maci
I definitely need to try Hello Fresh!!
The Abeka program is awesome! My kids love it too!
Me and my children used abeka as well and loved it until High School. It was a little bit legalistic and didn't work for dual enrollment. Just has a note to help you in the future.
My son actually went to their graduation when he graduated. I changed with my daughter.
I was homeschooled as well! I also used Abeka but all workbooks
Great video ❤
zoe is the cutest. do you reuse any of the grades for your kids. thanks for sharing.
I’m starting the Abeka homeschool program this yr with my son. He’s in 9th.
Aw. I hope Lexi enjoys Mrs. Chapel (2nd grade). My daughter was in 2nd grade last year and we loved Mrs. Chapel.
Love the organization. My kiddos are doing 2nd and k5, Abeka. Do your girls do all of the seat work? We try but it seems to take up so much time. ❤
Do you have a link for the videos preschool prep?
Could you post a link to the pre school videos. Please
Ignore the haters Alyssa, pray that they find happiness🙏✝️❤️
You and John are wonderful parents with beautiful happy children xoxoxo
Zoey is soooo adorable🥰 she's my favorite🤫
I love your videos
when i was "in school" was asked if i liked it and i replied with a no, nobody ever said well u should homeschool..but if someone doesnt like home they automatically demand u be sent to the building🤣
As long as the girls are getting socialization with other kids in Co-op or other fun activities.. then homeschool probably is a good idea. More chance of individualized learning styles since it's easier to do that when there are 4 students vs a typical public school class of 26 to 30 kids.
very nice!
Hello Webster Family 😁
maci is only two, isn’t she? That’s not even preschool age! So anything she’s doing is just icing on the cake and no hurry!
What brand are those backpack super cute
Maci is SUCH a character 😂
Binge watching
Intro music is hellacious but better than last music intro. Oy!
Cute pics
What are the costs of each kit?
Do you need to order new school books every year, or, for example, can Lexi use Allie’s books when she gets to that grade?
The books the kids use in lower grades of Abeka get written in so they wouldn’t be able to be reused. It would be possible in the higher grades as the books become textbooks and not workbooks. But each kit comes with “resusables” so in theory she could save that stuff to be reused.
My daughter watches Numberblocks on RUclips. She was multiplying before she started preschool. Awesome program.
Seems like just yesterday you were cleaning up the classroom and setting it up for this year. A
Abeka is the best!
I did not homeschool so was wondering if you can explain what co-op is.
Groups of homeschooling families who generally get together once or more per week for a variety of reasons: to teach or have their children taught in group classes, to partake in group activities like field trips, for socialization, and for support. Our co-op is run more like a school--we offer classes that are harder to do at home--home etc, PE, art, science, chemistry, algebra, drama and music are some of our classes. They are parent taught but a lot of our parents are former teachers. Other parents are helpers, babysitters for teachers children, etc.
How do we find out about homeschooling for our 5th grader, we know about the Abeka program but not sure if she needs the videos, books or both or just the videos! Can you share how to get started
Homeschooling is the best. We choose the “unschooling” style but anything is better than the alternative 🏫
Just watched your sisters video.
I watched your sister's vlog of there home schooling. Sounds like you two use the same schooling program.
First time seeing your channel. I'm starting homeschooling my girls for the first time this Monday. Excited but nervous 🫣 we have a 6th grader, 2nd and a kindergartener
Please tell me do we need both work books and videos, this will be our first time homeschooling, granddaughter is going into 5 th grade she has been in public school
@CindyMobley Abeka offers two primary options for homeschooling.
The first option involves purchasing teacher and student books. The teacher book provides detailed lesson plans, while the student book contains assignments. This approach offers maximum control over the learning process (since you are actively there with the stufent. You can see where you need to provide more clarification instantly, you can skip mastered skills or just go through them quicker) but requires significant teacher participation since you will be the main teacher.
The second option, which I chose for my family, combines student books with DVDs or online streaming videos. This format features pre-recorded lessons taught by experienced teachers. It allows for flexibility in scheduling and enables me to manage multiple children simultaneously. However, it's essential to monitor students to ensure they're engaged in learning rather than distracted.
@@devchonka18 ok so the videos or DVDs are best so she can see and hear a teacher? Let me ask you one more question, do they take test? If so do we grade them or do we send them to someone? lol I know this sounds crazy but we are just new to all of this and it’s so confusing to read about
Also how does she get her credits for graduation later?
My mom was on the board for ABEKA she ended up moving on but it’s a decent program
It kool they are being homeschooled
I enjoy watching your videos. The girls are all excited for school.
The background music makes it difficult to hear you talking.
my daughter poppy Kennedy Connor doing homeschooling few years then did amazing ?
Girls I like your backpacks🥰🥰
❤
