The 3 trolley used too run down frankford ave, kensington ave, and front st. It was replaced with a bus 50 years ago , but I was told life moves on however those old trolleys were neat.
I will. I've bought from them in the past and have been really happy with their prices and customer service. Thanks for watching and for the suggestions!
The reason that they used the 3 was the same reason they even made a pcc..its for those that love that era..wannna run a pcc on their current layout or have a circa 1960s layout..Express2609, at one point the majority of pccs in Philly where cream and green paint scheme...the Pccs 2 are effectively not a rebuild or refurbish..but a new ADA compliant trolley car..the only thing used was the car shell..
Toronto used to have these. I've seen them too. The difference is it's red instead of green, and I think it uses a different lighting installation inside.
Some of Toronto's PCCs were brought to Philadelphia to replace some of the cars destroyed in the Woodland car barn fire. They were never painted into PTC/SEPTA colors.
Great layout and great model! I have two Con-Cor PCC's and two Bowser Executive Line PCC's--the Bowsers are far superior in every way! The detail is amazing and they run great!
Thanks! That's interesting, I did not know that. I got a chance to ride on the modern PCCs in Philadelphia about a year back. The one I rode went up and down Girard Avenue which I am assuming is Route 15. I wanted a model that had that route on it, but could not find one. Nevertheless, I am really satisfied with this model. It is a great value. Thanks for watching!
Do you have just the one Philly car? It's a nice paint scheme. I have a Boston car #3221 with "Park Street" as the destination, and SF "F Market" line #1050.
Hmm. As I recall the red lights on the rear were brake lights, not markers. Ah, yes...this confirms it and discusses how to get true-to-prototype operation with some systems. www.trolleyville.com/tv/times/dec2014/headline12.html
GREAT PCC! I love PCCs on Trolley layouts. Great scheme as well, I live in Philadelphia and the only trolleys painted like this is our Route 15 trolley. Just a lil diddy about the route on ur PCC, Route 3 trolley was discontiued just as the PCCs came in so they never got a chance to run on that line..idk why Bowser picked it.
Hey, i have a question, where do you get this model? I love these old Philadelphia trolleys. And i am a new model railroader, and i hope to have a cool street car in my layout when i build one.

Yeah, the newer PCC cars in Philly just don't look the same as the originals like they run in San Francisco.
...Beautiful layout. ,,,Beautiful PCCs. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
No problem. ;) also my mistake. Some of the PCCs and Peter Witts have been kept as a summer Charter.
Thanks for posting. An awesome model and layout.
WOW! Beautiful car and layout.
Awsome street car!! Great job on modeling the city the car, well everything!!!
I will. I've bought from them in the past and have been really happy with their prices and customer service. Thanks for watching and for the suggestions!
That is really cool. I wish I had thought of that before doing my layout and now there is no room to do a streetcar. Great video and great layout.
Thank you!

awesome layout but what I remember about those trolleys, they had no levers for speed, they had a gas pedal kind of arrangement on the floor
I think they were replaced with the new LRVs by Bombardier. At least the PCC and Peter Witt Trans are kept at a museum.
Cool!

You're right about the trolley on girard Avenue being the 15. Anyways, you're welcome.
Thank you!
Thank you! I agree, it's a great model!
Thanks!
Wow!
That's interesting. Thanks for watching!
Yeah I just have one, but I am thinking about buying either one of the SF cars or a Detroit one.

I have one question, do you know where I can buy one there and then also let him on Quartermasters to Netherlands
Annabelle Greenliner shrunk her original form to the size of a HO scale trolley.
Hmm. As I recall the red lights on the rear were brake lights, not markers.

I have that same model. But the destination sign on mine says 6 Willow Grove via Ogontz Ave. and the window sign says 6 Broad-Olney Willow Grove
cool

I got mine from modeltrainstuff . com but I'm sure there are many other internet retailers who sell them.
