Okay I'm watching this vid again, because I can't stop thinking about getting a ZX-7R. Look at the silhouette after all these years! It's still a looker!!
Haha yes! Shiny £40k bikes are lovely but a bit of real world testing and (don't take this the wrong way) Top Gear style banter/chemistry is most appreciated. Same reason I loved the Stag road trip video
I come back to this every 6-9 months and re watch it. Top 3 BBB's For me are: 1.OG (the first one) 2.Italia - Love the bikes 3.Benidorm Newer ones have a different feel, the search and trips to see bikes before purchasing are my favourite part. Keep up the good work guys, glad to see you're still at it. Olly
I own a '99 SRAD, and I will readily admit that any generation of ZX-7 (except for the first in the late 80s) is much better looking than a SRAD. My cousin also owned a '95 ZX-7 for a while. It was a great bike to ride. I've never ridden anything so stable, whether it was in a straight line or leaned over, the thing was rock solid. It was heavy to get turned in, but once you were in, it wasn't going anywhere. I'll definitely be watching this series.
I was slowly but surely loosing the interest in 44teeth since within the last months most content seemed to be stuff where they either got to play with high value bikes, or were flown by some manufacturer to some exotiv place to race on racetrack and/or test new bikes/tires and stuff. Quite frankly, unless it is something below 10k, most normal guys just don´t really care what the manufactureres are producing. I mean sure we will look and say how cool it is, but we won´t watch some guy rambling 30 minutes about it, since we won´t be able to afford it
I've had the luxury of having both. The SRAD wins all day long. The ZX7R was a little bit more badass looking in my opinion, but for my Gixxer I also had the McLaren F1 bodykit
"While Chris had conveniently found a bike that was just four miles from his house, I was making the 500 mile round trip up to Leeds, hoping the SRAD wasn't a munter...." LMFAOooooooooooo
This series is a gift and we're all thankful. Inspired by Top Gear, but different enough so as not to infringe on copyright, and entertaining enough to meet the high standards we've come to expect from 44Teeth...albiet a bit short in duration. Perhaps, a blooper reel, unless, of course, you chaps are just that good. ;)
I have only just come across this channel today browsing through youtube on my tea break. Subscribed and can't wait for this 90's bike battle vid to commence. Now to see what other previous delights are on this channel
Can’t wait for next episode. Hit the nail on the head “it’s about having a laugh, not how much you spend” Be nice to see how many horses have run away over the years.
Best entertainment I have viewed in the last month!!! Great video thanks!!!! Cannot wait for the next installment..it pays to be a long time subscriber pure entertainment
I just scooped an 04 Suzuki gs500f last week, 5k miles, 2 owners, I got it for 2k (us) and I love it to death. I’ve rode a lot of bikes but this is my first daily so I’m still new and learning every day, but to me it’s 100% perfect. The Suzuki in this video is pimp asf as well. Thanks for making, can’t wait to see what happens next. ✌️
This is exactly the kind of thing I want to see. Genuine fun for you guys (hopefully) with out the unobtainable aspect of newer, more expensive bikes. Looking forward to this!
Great video Lads! Can't wait to see the rest. I sold my old 2000 zx7r about a year and a half ago to buy the zx10r. I still miss the 7, she was so dependable and stable. Really confident in the twisties and with -1/+2 on the sprockets she would still keep pace with the modern 600's. Sexy bike as well. It better win! Also no CBR900's?
You know these were THE bikes we wanted in the 90's! You guys are sick! Spanking the lovelies as if they were toys for mounting and putting up wet! Plaster a sticker on it and call me done! I'm loving this idea and it makes want to go retro to get the bike I wanted in high school! 👍🏼
I remember in school when both these bikes were the latest... they were awesome - the 7R competing in SBK and the SRAD so radical in its hump shape and ram air etc. Good times!
Looking forward to this. I've always wanted a zx7r since my uncle took me to see one in 96 and I put poster on my wall. As a ten year old it looked like something out of a dream and 20 years on it's still gorgeous. Cant believe now only £1.5k!
Loving this! Something about bikes like this that are just fun fun fun. Great project. Can’t wait for next instalment! Big up to the baron when I caught him at Bahnstormer yesterday.
Love what your doing here guys. Taking two Iconic classic 750cc Carb sportsbikes and seeing if you still can have as much fun on them for a very affordable price... I've personally owned a 750 SRAD and i LOVED IT! However i've always wanted the ZX7R, they are beautiful bikes... Cant wait to see the results in the tests guys! Have a blast! 👍😀
Thanks guys. Just what's needed. A TopGear for motorbikes, but for what people actually buy as well as the dream bikes. Mind you, I'm on a S1000XR but I appreciate that most people will be buying cheaper bikes etc.
nice, they bring back memories :-) I had a '98 ZX7R brand new - great bike in its day, the SRAD was lighter but not the looker - but got to say that Gixer looks pretty good for its age ! good one lads, look forward to the next instalment
aaaahhhh FINALLY! Glad to see this happen. I had a 2000 ZX7. It was a really good bike. I refinished the plastics and painted it using Dupon Nason Signal Green paint. Turned out wonderful. Had a great time with that bike. I have to say that the Yoshimura exhaust sounds sooo wonderful on the ZX7. Onw maintenance tip. Double check the wiring harness above and in front of the engine that runs to the ignition switch. The head of the exhaust was able to melt the harness and plug on mine. I was able to reuse the plug and rewired about 2.5 feet of the wiring around the left side of the engine. I used DEI heat sleeve and rerouted the harness a little higher to prevent it from happening again. Only problem I ever had with that bike.
Fantastic stuff guys, really hyped for this. It's hard to get excited for some rich toff's bike where the exhaust costs more than my whole bike, but this is much more grounded. And we never have had a Top Gear for bikes, until now
well the only valid critique i can find about this amazing piece of video is that it is yet another video about sportbikes. next one maybe about a "bang for buck" touring bike? im sure as hell looking desperatly for one and sadly cant afford a S1000XR or R1200GS ;(
immediately getting some of the good old top gear feelings when they did their 1/2/3 thousand buy a "x car" challenge. Much more fun seeing guys having fun on bikes me and my friends can afford, than seeing you guys race 30-50000€ bikes on closed off racetracks in sunny places.
At last a video we can all relate too ,don't get me wrong i love watching the new bike reviews and seeing the advances in technology ,but this is something most people can try themselves and can even afford,Well done i think this will be a popular watch
There's a reason they quit making the zx-7 and the gsxr lived on!!! Ive owned a few of both of these bikes and not a single zx would have touched any one of the gsxr's...
My 99 gsxr 750 srad is still alive and well. 28k miles, just had to rebuild the top end but I love this bike and have no plans of ever letting it go. Classic blue and white mladin!
As everyone else appears to be saying, really good idea for a series to mix things up a bit. I got a '98 zx6r with 10k miles for £1500 and it's great fun.
Would love to see this series continue in the future with other bikes! There are so many other 'budget' bikes I'd love to see on here. :) Great job guys!
So interested to see how this goes I subbed without hesitation. Having both of you bounce of each other's choice of bike is going to be fun. Better than a Top Gear challenge as you are making it relevant for real biking.
So many channels get caught up in the dazzle of the bikes above 15k that they forgot that it becomes irrelevant to some of us broke asses. I love the fact that you guys took this little side quest pretty seriously...well as seriously as you two can get lol. I bought my bike, a 2016 GSXS 1000F, partially because you evaluated it on its own accord instead of comparing it against bikes costing upwards of 5k more and calling it shit because it doesn't match up. Didn't hurt that I got it for 8495 + fees. Keep kicking ass guys.
This is what I've been waiting for! Some Top-Gear level faffery. I could watch hours and hours of shows like this. You guys should take a vacation to California or some noteable motorbike location with cool roads/tracks and do the same thing there. I'd kill for a TV show like that.
Okay I'm watching this vid again, because I can't stop thinking about getting a ZX-7R. Look at the silhouette after all these years! It's still a looker!!
I am so keen for this. These kinds of series really suit you two, let's keep them coming!
AiroRider Agreed! I'm super excited for the rest of this. That 7R is so sexy!
At last a video that is actually of use to someone like me and not just for entertainment. Please make more like this even of bikes for 3,4k ish
martin hannon all coming dude :) 👍
BaronVonGrumble
back in the real world 👍👍👍
Only if you can post more pics of you in your undies.
That’s a great look 😧 not.
Fantastic idea, love it! It's something I always wanted to do on my channel.. Loved every second 👍👍👍
This smacks of Top Gear's old challenges, and I love it!
Seriously though, 1 Disklike? Who linked this to the Harley owners club?
You are going down Statham!
BaronVonGrumble didn't you have an srad yourself?
Emanuel J. 2 actually...
BaronVonGrumble the ninja looks amazing, hope part will be out soon. :-)
the srad more sexy than the 7R? what is he on about???? Go team Green!
I have a pretty trick ZX7R race bike if you want some inspiration for your project...Just down the road in Andover...
Great idea! looking forward to the next episode. Netflix, if you're watching, give these guys a show.
matthew batista pleeeeeeeease
nah, netflix would just fuck it up with tight regulations.
The Motortrend guys have shows on Netflix. Could happen.
Excellent bit of work chaps - must have taken a helluvalot of effort - thanks for posting, great fun....
Haha yes! Shiny £40k bikes are lovely but a bit of real world testing and (don't take this the wrong way) Top Gear style banter/chemistry is most appreciated. Same reason I loved the Stag road trip video

This is a great feature, you guys are gonna have so much fun thrashing these things!
I own a '99 SRAD, and I will readily admit that any generation of ZX-7 (except for the first in the late 80s) is much better looking than a SRAD.

I'll definitely be watching this series.
I was just honestly just thinking that I hadnt seen anything from the 44 Munters for awhile and the notification arrived for this .Good scat guys .
I was slowly but surely loosing the interest in 44teeth since within the last months most content seemed to be stuff where they either got to play with high value bikes, or were flown by some manufacturer to some exotiv place to race on racetrack and/or test new bikes/tires and stuff.

HOW do you not have more views, this is golden. I demand everyone goes out and plugs the shit out of this! Go!
I come back and re-watch these bangers every year. Classic
"While Chris had conveniently found a bike that was just four miles from his house, I was making the 500 mile round trip up to Leeds, hoping the SRAD wasn't a munter...." LMFAOooooooooooo
Brilliant! I think a lot of people appriciate this kind of stuff, aswell as testing expensive bikes. Keep up the great work!
Love the rightly toned fart at the end!
This series is a gift and we're all thankful. So excited for these videos!! This channel is amazing! Big up to the ZX-7 show that SRAD what's up!
I have only just come across this channel today browsing through youtube on my tea break. Subscribed and can't wait for this 90's bike battle vid to commence. Now to see what other previous delights are on this channel
mark carlin you are in for a treat! 😉
whens the next episode
The like/dislike ratio must be a fucking record lads?! This was one of those videos that I REALLY didn't want to end, cracking job
grownsimbaa the dislikes will be from people from Bruntingthorpe or blokes called Dave...
Can’t wait for next episode.
Hit the nail on the head “it’s about having a laugh, not how much you spend”
Be nice to see how many horses have run away over the years.
Loved it. Bloody loved it lads. Although you know you're getting old when you see these kinds of bikes and think.... REAL BIKES!!! SRAD for the win
That just means you've got good taste, I think that about my 85 goldwing and it's older than I am
Best entertainment I have viewed in the last month!!! Great video thanks!!!! Cannot wait for the next installment..it pays to be a long time subscriber pure entertainment
Always loved the ZX7r
I just scooped an 04 Suzuki gs500f last week, 5k miles, 2 owners, I got it for 2k (us) and I love it to death. Wise move guys. Stuff like this gets SO many people excited. ..and i'm one of them for sure :) Hope it'll bring in views :)
Love it! Can't wait for the next instalment. SRAD600 in Corona colours was my first bike
Looks like you're going to have a lot of fun😂
This is exactly the kind of thing I want to see. Genuine fun for you guys (hopefully) with out the unobtainable aspect of newer, more expensive bikes. Looking forward to this!
Sweet bikes!! I will say the ZX7R is a little cooler looking. Back in my days right here!
After their latest vid team ninja need to pull his finger out were kind of slipping in this b/b/b
ZX7rr & SRAD & TLR are the three best looking modern era bikes..ever made...in the modern era😀
How has this only had 2923 views? This is excellent...looking forward to pt 2 keep up the good work chaps.
You know these were THE bikes we wanted in the 90's!
You guys are sick! Spanking the lovelies as if they were toys for mounting and putting up wet!
Plaster a sticker on it and call me done! I'm loving this idea and it makes want to go retro to get the bike I wanted in high school!
👍🏼
This video/idea is so good, videos like these are the reason you guys are my favorite RUclips channel!
That SRAD looks so good !
Oh my god !
This is what I've been waiting for from this channel. Top marks!
For season 2 please do old 400's cbr 400 zxr 400 gsxr 400 etc ...
I remember in school when both these bikes were the latest... they were awesome - the 7R competing in SBK and the SRAD so radical in its hump shape and ram air etc. Good times!
Pt 2 plz
001razz I second that
Brilliant!Brilliant!Brilliant! So looking forward to where this goes. Like Roadkill for bikes. Well done guys.
This is going to be good!
I love this idea! I love that nearly anyone can get into biking and get an awesome bike for not too much money.
I love you guys so fucking hard
Looking forward to this. I've always wanted a zx7r since my uncle took me to see one in 96 and I put poster on my wall. As a ten year old it looked like something out of a dream and 20 years on it's still gorgeous. Cant believe now only £1.5k!
Got to be the SRAD! Go Statham...!
Loving this! Something about bikes like this that are just fun fun fun. Great project. Can’t wait for next instalment! Big up to the baron when I caught him at Bahnstormer yesterday.
This is basically a Top Gear special with 1 less person, and 4 less wheels. What can possibly go wrong?
Chris_ SVS I keep telling them... They need a third wheel... Cough cough
Chris Pritchard A man can only try 😁
Chris_ SVS oh... Plus it means us northerns would be able to stop using subtitles.... 😂
😂😂
Chris Pritchard 😂😂😉
Love what your doing here guys. Taking two Iconic classic 750cc Carb sportsbikes and seeing if you still can have as much fun on them for a very affordable price... I've personally owned a 750 SRAD and i LOVED IT! However i've always wanted the ZX7R, they are beautiful bikes... Cant wait to see the results in the tests guys! Have a blast! 👍😀
This is literally Blue V Green... or you could say BvG!!!
Lol
Mind......... BLOWN
Well done. Bravo! :D
Baron is illuminati!
Those bikes were the shit in my day! No body could touch them. Still siq in my book❤️
My money is on the GSXR boys.
The Kwickasfucki might be faster, but the Suzuki will be a MUCH nicer bike to ride.
Have a nice Day!
From the Land of OZ
Thanks guys. Just what's needed. A TopGear for motorbikes, but for what people actually buy as well as the dream bikes. Mind you, I'm on a S1000XR but I appreciate that most people will be buying cheaper bikes etc.
Yes yes yes ! Come on the SRAD. Get a damper quickly:)
As an oddball that still tours across Europe on a 20 year old VTR1000 this video is right up my street. More like this please.
My mum's got the same mahogany table you guys have.
True story.
Bye.
nice, they bring back memories :-) I had a '98 ZX7R brand new - great bike in its day, the SRAD was lighter but not the looker - but got to say that Gixer looks pretty good for its age !
good one lads, look forward to the next instalment
To be fair to Statham, the SRAD does sound jizzy.
Absolutely love this idea. I've been wanting you guys to do videos on past-era bikes for so long!
Funny how Baron didn’t go for an SRAD when he used to own an SRAD lol
CCFerrariF1 i had 2!
I was a little disapointed with that. Never mind... Team Statham it is. :D
BaronVonGrumble seen the green light...
aaaahhhh FINALLY! Glad to see this happen. I had a 2000 ZX7. It was a really good bike. I refinished the plastics and painted it using Dupon Nason Signal Green paint. Turned out wonderful. In the States you can't get those bikes that's cheap they're still like thirty-five hundred bucks
blaine pond just bought one in Albuquerque NM with 13,000 original miles for $3000
Anthing with a motor in it is two grand too expensive in the states
Great vid - looking forward to the rest of the series. Of course, now I have to go and dig my 7R out the garage and get it put back together...
*grabs popcorn*
Fantastic stuff guys, really hyped for this. It's hard to get excited for some rich toff's bike where the exhaust costs more than my whole bike, but this is much more grounded. And we never have had a Top Gear for bikes, until now
by offering free name advertising. You cheated the budget! It's now a 2250 bike budget.
Two bikes that are on my bucket list, can't wait to see how each of them perform. Great idea!
holy balls 1000 likes and 0 dislikes? ive never seen that before
well the only valid critique i can find about this amazing piece of video is that it is yet another video about sportbikes. next one maybe about a "bang for buck" touring bike? im sure as hell looking desperatly for one and sadly cant afford a S1000XR or R1200GS ;(
Like i said, respect for listening! its already looking like a great feature. Have fun!!!
the zx 7r not really a budget :D very rare and every year more expensive
immediately getting some of the good old top gear feelings when they did their 1/2/3 thousand buy a "x car" challenge.
Much more fun seeing guys having fun on bikes me and my friends can afford, than seeing you guys race 30-50000€ bikes on closed off racetracks in sunny places.
Have a dislike for calling the VFR pedestrian! Good effort otherwise.
Szlejer and he said orthopaedic... come over to team green 😉💚
I forgive.
BaronVonGrumble to join team green do you need a paint brush and a pot of orc green paint or is it optional?😂
BaronVonGrumble
I dislike the that term too, since I own an early '90 FL, but it's a painfully realistic descriptor.
😬
LukeyyyHD 123 😂😂🥒
At last a video we can all relate too ,don't get me wrong i love watching the new bike reviews and seeing the advances in technology ,but this is something most people can try themselves and can even afford,Well done i think this will be a popular watch
Hope that ZX shits on that srad
John B me to mate🚀
Me too! Well said, shipmate!
Gixxer 4 lyf
John B #teamgreentank FTW. 😈👍
There's a reason they quit making the zx-7 and the gsxr lived on!!! Ive owned a few of both of these bikes and not a single zx would have touched any one of the gsxr's...
So cool seeing guys this knowledgeable about the new bikes rolling on the old ones. Love the series idea
Srad gonna leave that green turd in the dust
sach motto Fuck off...
My 99 gsxr 750 srad is still alive and well. 28k miles, just had to rebuild the top end but I love this bike and have no plans of ever letting it go. Classic blue and white mladin!
Gold Quality Content Guys, Killin it.
This could maybe be the Top Gear of the motorbike world.
This is gold. Just what this channel needed.
Baffles my mind how this channel still hasn’t blow up. You guys deserve way more subs!
As long as we are here, great. Everyone else will just have to enjoy discovering it later. We're ahead of the curve 🤘👹🤘
As everyone else appears to be saying, really good idea for a series to mix things up a bit. I got a '98 zx6r with 10k miles for £1500 and it's great fun.
Banging piece of content, really hit the nail on the head here boys. Really enjoyed this video and can't wait for the upcoming! 44teeth is growing!
You guys are killing it, well done this is great!
Over 1,000 likes, Zero dislikes. Please more Budget Bike Battles. It was some well loved old school Jizz
This exactly what RUclips needs, amazing idea with accessible bikes for everyone. Well played.
1993... Scott Russell... Great memories, great bike AND with the full factory electronics package; lights, indicators and horn!
Would love to see this series continue in the future with other bikes! There are so many other 'budget' bikes I'd love to see on here. :) Great job guys!
That's the plan, budget allowing...
Woohoo!
Great idea guys, can't wait till the next episode!
So interested to see how this goes I subbed without hesitation. Having both of you bounce of each other's choice of bike is going to be fun. Better than a Top Gear challenge as you are making it relevant for real biking.
Quality. Cant wait to see each episode... often wanted to do this but things just never came to fruition. Good luck to you both.
How can you not love this! Great vid guys, looking forward to the first rides. 👍🏻
Yet another amazing mini-series. I think this will be one of the best for 2017. Cant wait for the next episode!
The ZX7R was such a monster. Love that Kawi Green with it too. The Old Days!
Enjoying every minute boys! When you finally get picked up by a network I would love to see you do a trip to Australia.
Keep it up.
OH MY GOD I LOVE IT SO FAR.
I'M SO EXCITED FOR THE NEXT EPISOOOOOOOOOOODE!
