Doesn't work that way in the new nfl. If you suck by the 1st 8 games they will ship you out. Trevor Lawrence, Tua and Daniel Jones will be gone this year.
Because of his upside and the relatively lower value of a high pick, a team picking Willis with a high pick would not be as hurt if he bombs compared to choosing him over a potential generational talent. If you see him with high potential and willing to take the chance, this is the draft to do that with a questionable talent...
Agree to an extent, work ethic is a big factor. You can have a great supporting cast and good front office but if you don’t work to succeed it doesn’t make a difference.
With today’s NFL, he’s a top 10 pick based on potential. We’ve seen great quarterbacks like Cousins or Garoppolo get disregarded, because they push at elite, but never hit it.
Great video man! We will see if he turns out to be anything at the next level or not but to pick him up towards the end of the third round was a no brainier. If he flops then the lose is minimal but if he does well he will be the steal of the draft. #TITANUP⚔️⚔️⚔️
Thank you for not having a canned 30 second intro in this video. At the beginning of the video, you said "let's get into it" and i thought there i was going to have to skip over the intro but no. Your videos are all content and no filler.
This dude reminds me of Cam. Big Arm Big Personality Big Body. The ability to escape and throw on the run. But also the same mistakes Cam makes I see h.making in this video so I'm cautious about my Panthers drafting him. I like all 4 top guys (Him/Pickett/Ridder/Corral).
I don't know if he will pan out and as of right now I don't think he is better then Tanahill RIGHT NOW but I believe he's ceiling is alot higher then Tanahill but for a 3rd round pick it's way worth the risk
Idk I always worry when a QB relies on arm talent going to the NFL. There is a huge difference in how far that will get you. Just look at Dwayne Haskins or joe flacco or Ryan Mallet, or even Zach Wilson. There is also the fact that he doesn't play for a big school. I know many say you shouldn't look at that but I actually think in modern times you should. There is a massive difference between the SEC and other schools now. That is the biggest change in college football in the last 10 years.
Unfair to put joe Flacco and Zach Wilson in this. Joe was able to win a super bowl and Zach has only played for one year and looked better towards the end of the season.
Yeah Vrabel is a up front type of coach that doesn’t hide anything will tell you exactly what he thinks.. it’s up to Willis to work out his flaws while improving and to adjust to the NFL. Still a good pick especially beings it was a 3rd rd pick.
He played well against the ACC considering he was pretty much a one man show against that competition. Not taking anything away from those wide receivers but they were small compared to the ACC guys
I think he’s a great fit for Seattle, Locks contract is up after this year, they let him sit under lock and let him develop, learn the playbook and scheme and build chemistry with his teammates as well, and most of the major flaws or mistakes I see him make are very coachable and fixable, if Seattle can handle him right he has a chance to be their next Russell Wilson or even better
The competition level is much higher in the NFL. I don't know Jackson, if he isn't given several years to learn I don't see him succeeding long term. We'll see what happens. I think some NFL defenses have already adapted successfully to this style of QB play, so I expect it to trickle down to other teams as well. You may see a drop off in production next season for Lamar/Mahomes/Murray. We'll see though.
Well it could factor in against the athletic defensive players in the nfl such as Aaron Donald and other great players so some of the stuff he does might not work as well but his athleticism matches up with others in the nfl so there will be things that don’t work as much but it should be a huge jump in athleticism 👍🏼
He had a great pro day, but what concerns me is if he can make the right decisions. He has the talent and skills, the only question is, can he take it to the next level. Hope he does well though. BTW he's going before Pickett.
@@CoolHandLuke196 he definitely is an exception you're right. He has made up for it by having 20 years of well built teams, as well as amazing pocket presence and other skills. His escapability isn't all that bad either, as he may not be the best at escaping a sack but he can escape pressure and the pocket really well.
Couldn’t disagree more. It’s not about possibility, it’s about probability. Could he be good, yeah. Will he? Probably not unless he gets an offense that is creative enough to feature his skill set
It’s completely about possiblity, probability depends on the teams, front office, coaching. Patrick mahomes or josh Allen weren’t drafted on probability it was possibility. The cheifs and bills competent front office and made it all the more probable for them to be elite qbs. You wrong
@@tomasperez5761 the “upside” argument is exactly what I’m talking about. Upside is just great physical attributes attached to a player that hasn’t shown the ability to use them on the field to get production. Sometimes, yes, those players can find a great fit system wise and get a good team built around them but the probability aspect is when you take an honest look at the history and see just how rare that is. You have to ignore a mountain of players that washed out the league because of they never got there. That’s how GMs con themselves into drafting bust after bust and get fired. Realizing that most “upside” players don’t pan out and drafting players that might not be as exciting but can actually help your team win is how teams like the patriots stay good year in and year out
He made 1 good throw at his pro day so everyone is flipping lmao. Hes kind of a raw version of Jordon Love in my opinion. Release time, and the ability to pick up blitzes are very important in the NFL lol
The quarterback class isn’t good. Doesn’t mean there isn’t a good quarterback in the draft. This class has one of the lowest floors of the last decade. Also doesn’t have a very good ceiling except Willis, Pickett, and potentially Howell
Wow this is a great insight into the pathology that gets GMs fired. This is like watching someone talk themselves into drafting Geno Smith. It’s desperation thinking. You know he won’t fix all those flaws or even enough of them to be a capable starter for a team, you KNOW that but the WANT of a QB prospect will make a GM talk and con themselves into thinking you can fix this guy’s flaws. Smh
You white boy things are supposed to be done this way are funny. Because you don't think he saw the read on the blitz doesn't mean he didn't. His concern level was less than yours obviously. He shook both the guys easily. Clearly meaning he noticed the guys coming clean. He just didn't let them know how much he noticed them. You people think you wrote the book on how qb should be played. It should be played to win. Period.
QBs that consistently make terrible decisions in college tend to do the same in the Pros. I’m not that high on Willis. I honestly prefer Corral over him and Pickett but that isn’t saying much. I’m not high on any of these guys. Hopefully they surprise us all.
Turn overs deep in his oven territory, almost Wentz-ish. Just horrible judgement sometimes. But I like him, with the right staff he can be a quality starter just going to take a few years
I think all QB’s success depend on where they go, the coaching staff, time they have to develop, front office, etc
Doesn't work that way in the new nfl. If you suck by the 1st 8 games they will ship you out. Trevor Lawrence, Tua and Daniel Jones will be gone this year.
100% agree with you. That's why the same teams always seems to get the top picks...they don't know how to develop the players they draft.

I don't think his pressure awareness is bad...he could be letting rushers get closer before he tries to juke them..idk though
Watch his eyes. He is baiting the Defensive ends into coming too fast so he can juke them. Look closer.
