As a 44 yr old dad with a son who’s 15, I never thought I’d see the day that he’d be introducing me to new music. I’ve been blown away by Toro y Moi, Temper Trap, Alt-j, Dan Croll and many others. Thanks to these guys for their continued innovation in a time when music feels almost dead. Thanks to my son for keeping me young.
I recently introduced my dad to some of the music on Radio Mirror Park in GTA and the same situation except I’m the 15 year old and he’s the 44 year old
Unfortunately you are still ruled by the ILLUMINATI. Alt-j for example, as you mentioned above, is the combination of button pressing on an Apple Mac that produces a triangle. A known symbol of the ILLUMINATI and he (Alt-j) was pushed into the mainstream by the people that run the music industry so that people like your son would lap up this 'new' music like the little, controlled robot sheep that your son is. You aren't really being introduced to new music it's being forced onto you. YOU WILL ONLY FIND NEW MUSIC WHEN YOU STEP AWAY FROM THE MAINSTREAM AND THEN AFTER A YEAR AWAY YOU THEN GO AND FIND NEW NON-MAINSTREAM MUSIC. MUSIC THAT YOU LIKE BECAUSE YOU FOUND IT AND NOBODY TOLD YOU ABOUT IT. Music YOU decided that you liked.
This entire song kinda reminds me of mildly cold weather. Not winter level temperature, but the one during mid September, when summer is practically over but it’s still pretty warm during the day. In the evening, though, the temperature drops to like 20 degrees Celsius but you’re still wearing your summer clothes (t shirts, shorts) because the seasons haven’t fully transitioned yet. This song gives me that feeling.
That’s why I love to smoke in the early morning of a summer day at like 5:30-7-am, nothing beats the cool morning breeze before it warms up in the day, and this song just makes it better 🙌🏽
2012 was such a good year, counting the days until I turn 30.. I remember taking like 2 points of molly with a few of my friends and chilling in my room geeking smoking weed taking turns playing 16 days
My interpretation of the video. This girl has broken his heart in a big way, maybe cheated, idk. He loves her but he has already decided he is leaving her. She makes a desperate last attempt to keep him around, shows him all the things he loved about her. He is tempted to take her back, he loves her. But in the end he knows he must leave, so hence that final scene with the car and the airplane. Car=his old life, plane=his future.
That's a pretty neat interpretation. I think the song is kinda sexual tho. "This ain't appropriate now" "I just wanna go inside" And a couple lines in the beginning kinda feed into that too probably. But idk, friend, I just really like the song 😂
Its dudes like this who are usually the most original and imaginative in their genre. Everybody else focus on being like 'everybody else' and sound boring.
I remember when I was introduced to TyM by my coolest high school friend who liked listening to local public radio music programming while driving his car at night. It was one of the last times hanging out with my friends in graduation weekend and this song was playing on the radio riding back home at night. Sadly, he unexpectedly passed away weeks later after high school. Toro is still one of my favorites and I still listen to public radio music ever since for new music. RIP Carlos, 1995 - 7/2/2013
The Phenomenal King def not getting tired of it but I got a few like that. I've got to be honest though the first half of song is way better than the later half
I remember going to my friends house during high school and hanging out and this music video popped up on MTV and we were instantly hooked haha. We were like "check this dude out" haha. I remember this was when RUclips and Spotify's inventory was small and we forgot the lyrics and the name of the band and we never heard it on the radio so we thought it was gone forever. One day I caught it playing somewhere and remembered the lyrics and found it. Best day ever haha. One of my favorites.
Went for a road trip with my half sister to test out my new car, put this on the playlist I had going. I cannot describe the atmosphere it created as we hit the desert, it was like being in a movie or some shit. It seriously felt like I was in a scene from Drive or something, the sun hitting me in the face, wind whipping through the window, just overall good feelings.
Yes. It's like somebody stole imagery out my mind and made this video. I live this life minus the private ✈/ but everything else is me and what I do & how I do it💯
This man adds aesthetics and music like few artists does. He is able to make a perfect match between music and video with every single tune, in a way that if you see the video you can relate the combination of spaces and elements that appear and disappear with the melodies and instruments incorporating and evolving with the beat.
The best part of this video is near the end, when it shows the girl on the carousel again, but she looks unhappy, as if regretful. We all look back on an old relationship and wonder if the other person thinks about us still, regrets what happened, and wishes things could have kept going. It's one of those universal ideas, and it's summed up so neatly and easily in that one image that it's hard to justify writing it out like this, but I felt like it so whatever.
The feeling this song gives me is unreal. I’ve been listening to it since it’s release, almost a decade ago now. To this day, it’s what I would call a masterpiece. The whole album really. Hands down my favorite song of all time.

The vibes are so strong between the two of us, as Toro sings this song. Nice system in the car so every sound is hitting right bass is hitting right too not too loud though got to hear her voice talk to me as it all is synchronized to this beautiful moment. I usually like listening to instrumental versions of songs but this is really well made. Keep blessing our ears Toro.
Thank you to the bassist from CHON for wearing a Toro Y Moi t shirt. Now I found this guy's amazing production.
My friend just showed me a CHON audio tree performance. they have an original sound to their music also
His music is timeless.
Always feeling good listening to this song, never disappoint
This video is so iconic. That lipstick scene lives rent free in my brain for all eternity

I can't stop laughing at the part where he's just siting in the chair with his legs crossed. 😂
Lol! I thought I was the only one hahaha
BrittneeSays your not o___o hes so calm no matter what he says, no emotion...

What you know 'bout the polo neck Nicole! hahahahaaa
Been listening since the beginning of your career and always come back to this song and New Beat...and Girl Like You.
There’s so many details in this song
Found this a year into my relationship, 6 years later I’m crying to it.
Is it weird that I listen to this song when I'm sad 🙁
for a song this amazing, i wish you didn't listen to it when your sad :(
It's ok I do the same thing.
No, I do as well. :(
Most of Chaz's music is sad. Listening to his lyrics and reading them puts his emotions out there. You must sympathize with him. I used to do the same thing. I'm not as sad as I used to be anymore, but before I used to listen to his music anytime I was down because his lyrics pertained to my situation.
do u want a hug
used to sit in my room as a senior in highscool & cry to this. here i am in 2021 doing the same thing. this song was so ahead of its time
me right now, im so glad to know im not the only one doing this
