The hero is trying its best to look like the HBS one but strangely it has the missiles where the lasers were position wise. Lost opertunity for a centre mounted dorsal cannon for a side torso ballistic instead of the LRMs.
The mech i 1st saw in the Battletech Game from HBS. It was part of a storyline, and in the end you got one as a reward. I later picked up a 2nd one for very huge amounts of cash in the game. The story surrounding the mech was really good. I am not the lore guy, but i could fully understand the origins of the mech, and why it was so very rare find. Also the wikipage tells a little bit about it. Hopefully the modders will bring this awesome mech to MW5 Mercs.
While this is exciting, I wish HBS (now that it is separated from Paradox again) would team up with Piranha to come out with Battletech 2.0. Was sad that Paradox didn't do a BT Inner Sphere game in the style of Crusader Kings / Hearts of Iron.
I love the Bull Shark from HBS, gonna love it here. I'll preorder the pack plus the 2(S), I'll wait on the Mako. One thing I won't do is run it with an inner sphere XL engine, as it has a little of the "Rabbit ear" geometry going on, hard to shield those torsos.
I would rather have had the Kingfisher. With a standard engine I get it would limit total firepower (tonnage) compare to other clan assaults, but if PGI had leaned into its durability quirk-wise it would really be a hell of a zombie mech.
I think this might be the coolest looking mech in the game. Possibly second only to the Marauder. I'm certainly going to be buying to collectors pack. Having both IS and Clan variants is going to be nuts.
Really like the look of this new mech. But PGI saying that "assaults and heavies sell... lights and mediums don't" is hilarious to me. If they released a Legends version of the Warthog, people would be throwing money at the screen so hard.
has solid hitboxes, and hardpoints. this will suffer in city pushes, more suited for firing lines. the half chassis being clan tech is interesting, but I want my CN11 IS onmimech centurian. NOTE: good pilots should be aiming for crotch for Ct shots. thats how you kill stuff like the bushwacker.
I was a Bullshark The enigmatic joy and pride Of the lost Minnesota Tribe My Thumper Cannon brought both mechs and buildings low So UACs and LBX could strike the killing blow And when the rounds cooked off, they said that I got killed But I am fighting still
70 fricking dollars, for maybe only two variants that will be used frequently, that i will end up buying for c-bills in 6 months i can buy 2 or 3 excellent full indie games on steam for that amount of money that will provide me with hundreds of hours of gameplay PGI, please let us buy a mini pack of 2 variants for 20 bucks, like the recent blackhawks ku.
right! i would spend $5 to 10 for a mech all the time but these $70 packs abd $20 single mechs are just insulting, wont do it. even at 30 id probably buy one of these mech packs a month.
honestly . id prefer if mw clans went full "non cannon" they already did it with the loader king , a wider range of mechs is always better for sim games .
The game is getting ridiculous. LIght and medium mechs can now get one shotted from all these new uber mechs that they are selling. I guess if you like running lights or mediums you might as well just stay home anymore. Used to be I could easily take down most assault mechs with my Pirate's Bane but with these new overloaded mechs all they need is one shot and you are gone. Oh well, after eight years I guess it is time to move on anyway. Let the uber tanks slug it out... who needs strategy, right?
Not sure if I would call jump jet stuttering to mess with hit reg, or getting in close to an assault to exploit poor vision and range of movement “strategy.” Mostly exploiting poor coding and/or poor game logic. Logically, a tiny flea should get one-shotted by an atlas. The reason to play lights is for the fun and the challenge-the speed, the jumping, the darting in and out-but it’s not to try to be top damage or frag lord. I do think that PGI should implement some kind of team weight limit though to encourage more balanced team comps.
I would say lights are still pretty OP (considering their strength is mostly, as mentioned above, locked within PGI's potato (net)code), but the bigger issue is the steady powercreep in general. Look at the latest Black Hawk. It's actually difficult to NOT do 1k+ damage in it. It's fast, it can fly pretty well, with all the range you need. Yes, it is a little fragile, but that can be easily mitigated by at least somewhat reasonable piloting. All the while plenty of mechs are simply, objectively, worse. Especially the older chassis. I am not one to screech "P2W", it will probably get nerfed soon, but bruh, this path PGI/Cauldron are walking is just not good.
I would like to support the game but $40+ for a pack of mechs I only ever want 1-2 of just always feels like a bad purchase, I'll just wait until it's free. (Also they should give lights and mediums more love the damned size queens!)
If you don’t get the reference, bull sharks can move from fresh water to salt water, and vice versa, at will. Hence it being both an IS and Clan mech.
thats neat af
Nope right over my head… could be bc I’m short
@@NoGutsNoGalaxy lol, well I only caught on to it cause I’m giga-dork. We all have our…..SHORTcomings.
I’ll see myself out.
And with the initials of BS, that fits as well ;) I kid, as I do love it, and loved the mission in the HBS game!
@@MerculiarchSyn that is why i like to take my time ...

I’m sure someone will mod it in

Ordered it! Great review of this new chassis to MWO! Loving the 'compact' size and high mounts, even though it's bulky! Gonna be hot!
Thx brosef
This looks menacing for a 95T mech. Can't wait to see how it will fare on the battlefield.

Does have allot of armor quirks I think to try to compensate for that
I preordered it becuase I enjoyed it so much in HBS Battletech.
Boom
Don't feel bad I did the very same thing., It is also my favorite in HBS's Battletech. Best of luck with yours.
the energyfocused IS variant imo will be nuts, could reliably go with a 10 LPPC build on that ...
I would rather have had the Kingfisher. With a standard engine I get it would limit total firepower (tonnage) compare to other clan assaults, but if PGI had leaned into its durability quirk-wise it would really be a hell of a zombie mech.
Im thinking that should i buy the pack and the (S) add-on but sadly no thumper
It's MC-II for IS.
No, it's more like a 95t Annihilator with JJs/Clan version.
Oh and no stupid giraffe neck I guess. So a 95t bmech Blood Asp.

never thought i would see it, but glad its coming

This mech looks so good with those high mounts.
so glad this mech got in the game loved this thing
update. legs not weak bc hardpoints so good/high that less need to show legs, very good hard points. very nice.
Gonna get it. Battletech the game original and in general
It's a good looking mech, I'm sorely tempted
So finally I can decide if I spent some money.
Thanks Phil
Ur welcome
Can't tell if this is more power creep. I'm sleepy
Damn, I'll buy the Bullshark if it comes with that beard.
Sold separately
Nice design.
no thumper cannon??!?
Nope
12v12 bullshark fight incoming.
Even better. 12v12 IS Bullshark vs Clan Bullshark.
@@jonathonspears7736 Well...that was kind of implied.
BNC-3S my most played and most favoured assault brawler (AC-20, 2x SNUBS and 6x ERSL). Fast punchy and durable
930 Nitzsche Bypass
The mech looks great but I won't buy it, simply because it is an assault mech. Assault mechs are the least fun to play for me since they are so slow.
Load up long range weapons, no need to go fast!
Tremendous
Am I missing something because those weapon quirks look lame.

Are you sure? I still see Assaults and Heavies get shredded and taken out by lights and mediums.
I score top 3 in my team every game, in a light mech. Just saying
