My favorite thing about this video is watching Kirstie & Scott, two life-long friends who are as close as siblings, emoting off each other in this duet performance. That alone makes this version SO much better than the original. If you want to see a similar (yet much more tongue-in-cheek) performance by the two of them...along with Mitch...you should check out Superfruit's "Frozen Medley" featuring Kirstie. It's amazingly poignant, shockingly accurate AND side-splittingly hilarious too.
Oh my Gosh I love watching your reactions. You are the best and you show others that you can react Without cursing and get your point across so well speaks volumes. Thank you so much for doing what you do, also....thanks bunches to your Wife for sharing you with us.
Lol, thank you and I agree with you Shauna, I just don’t feel like it adds anything to the video by doing it. Kind of a rule of thumb for me is if I wouldn’t want my kids to watch it then it probably shouldn’t be in there. She’s the best, and I love her to death, thanks for watching!
You're welcome! I knew you'd love it! Honestly, when you first stared into the camera when Kevin started, I felt like you were saying "you couldn't have warned me??" 🤣 Nope! The looks were priceless! The black and white with gold accents was a homage to the album cover for "A Star is Born" soundtrack, so I've been told. I believe this was shot in a hotel but I don't know the name or where.
I have never in my life encountered a musical group that was the entire, total package. Pentatonix brings every talent they possess to every single musical moment they give us. They are just gorgeous people to look at, they each have uncommon vocal skills, the emotion they bring (be it happy, sad, or anywhere in between), not to mention acting skills, are just remarkable. I cried my eyes out the first time I saw this video. The emotion Scott and Kirstin bring is just brilliant. I also wanted to point out an extremely awesome talent that Matt brings. At about the 6:33 to 6:35 mark in your video here, you will hear Matt doing a bass slide. He starts out on a low bass note, then perfectly "slides" his voice up an octave or so - much like a bass guitar would. I have heard him do this in many of their songs now. It is an incredibly difficult thing to do - and have it come out in absolutely perfect bass pitch. Ever since this was pointed out to me, I always listen for that by Matt. He is a master! They all are! Oh - another beautiful song of Pentatonix is an Ed Sheeran cover of "Perfect". You should check that out also!
With the trio being theater & choir kids growing up, their acting & emotions really come thru when they’re singing! Kirsten has been on Broadway, so there’s that too!

Scott and Kirstin performed their parts to perfection. Matt and Mitch filled in perfectly with the harmonies. Truly one of their best covers!

How many people in the industry today get so many positive and repetitively similar direct responses from the wide swath of listeners that you have. there's another cover of this song that is very good also. it is performed by Floor Jansen. she is from the Netherlands and has a wonderful voice. she appeared on a Dutch tv show in 2019 and did a cover of this song. i think you will like her version because she approaches it in a way that is unique. here's the link ruclips.net/video/M68pe4a_9zk/видео.html. she is also the lead singer for a Finnish symphonic metal band called Nightwish. they are not your typical metal band. one of their songs you might like is called "Ghost Love Score" her the link for this video ruclips.net/video/JYjIlHWBAVo/видео.html. you don't have to do a reaction video but you might like to listen to these
I will have to check that out thanks!
Even though Lady Gaga wrote this and sang it with Bradley Cooper, Pentatonix owns it and does a much better job!
Remember Sony dropping them from their record label? Not marketable they reckoned. Well Sony, I wish you luck with some of the “marketable” and talentless “artists” you have on your books currently and hope they make you lots of money.
I didn’t know that Vivien, but I am sure they are kicking themselves for it!
Next watch Say Something.
Definitely on my list after the holidays Lori, thanks for watching!
Can you react to Kevin’s solo projects? Highly recommended Heart Attack and Carnegie Hall

Sir, have you ever considered a career in Broadcasting? TV's flashy but Radio creates a loyal following, (much better for a career). I say that based on how many positive reviews are provided to you based on your voice, honesty, likeability, etc. People relate to you, and that's rare! How many people in the industry today get so many positive and repetitively similar direct responses from the wide swath of listeners that you have. It's impressive to me (& hopefully others as well)l.
There's a place for you somewhere, I'm sure. Hopefully someone will find YOU! You're unsung and not so 'In the rough'.
I love his voice! One of the many reasons I married him. I could see him being a spokesvoice in commercials!
