Ahaha thanks! I'm glad folks enjoy the vids :] If you mean Albel's abilities, he's set up for my lazy MP-killing ways. On the far X, I have increased MP damage, then palm of destruction on far O. I was mostly after recording the cutscene, and I meant to go climb Sphere 211 a bit, re-do his build for bosses, and come back for a more serious attempt. Alas, I got sidetracked, but I'll get back to it and beat the alters one day :] I want to record the cutscene after too!
Oh my god this is a thing???????????????? I started playing SO3 a couple of weeks ago and fell in love with Albel. I am following an affection guide to max out Albel's so I can get the 'old married couple' ending with Fayt. I am also doing everything I can to make Maria and Sophia mad as their affinity keeps creeping up on me. THIS IS A THING?????????? AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I cannot wait for post game!!!!!!! Honestly, when Albel calls Fayt a maggot or a fool, thats his way of saying that he loves him! The general chemistry the two has is so good and the post game scene and the intimacy of the sleeping arrangements...(yes I watched Albel scenes before recruiting him so I knew what to do!). I also control him in battle now...between his air slash, the close range dragon attack and healing spells, my boy Albel is a power house! Keeping his side kicking husband alive! Oh my, near the end when Albel gets knocked out there, I just heard your Fayt shouting Albel No! Damn, I have not had that one yet!
Haha! I read this comment out loud to my partner and we're both chanting "one of us, one of us, ONE OF USSS" We are both Albel x Fayt fandom olds, shipping these two for 18 years! We have yet to tire of these two and it's how we met haha. I'm really glad to hear you're enjoying the game and these videos :D It makes me warm and fuzzy to see newer players enjoy the game and the gay even in 2022
@@azraelsraven My room mate who I met online via our mutual love for assassins creed saw me playing SO4 and told me most of the other games were on the PSN store...apart from 2 :( But she said, forget the chronological order, PLAY 3! I had no idea why. When I first saw HD Albel, I knew he must be important, I looked at her, she just smiled and went....yup.....his ending with Fayt's hints at them being a couple and I just collapsed! I love the game so much adore Fayt and Albel to little pieces....it is a shame the fandom has died down as I immediately went in search of art and fics....not many left. I'm also playing SO5...and despiite what critics say, I am actually liking it. As soon as I heard Victor (who is quite possibly a homosexual companion or bi with a preference for men) open his mouth and say how much he basically fancies the main character, I went 'ALBEL?????'. Same VA, just years apart! They also shout Air Slash very similar! And pretty much have the same fighting style! I am very much excited for post game. Apprehensive as I am not the best at the crafting system but, I followed a couple of really good guides on how to get orichalcum and other items to make *cough Fayt and Albel cough* super powerful!
This cutscene is so interesting, because here we are seeing Fayt and Albel from two different sides. I mean whose to say that those two weren’t the real ones, and we were the fakes? When you think about it really it’s all from perspective. The only reason why Blue haired Fayt is the real one to us is because we’ve been following his story since the beginning of the game, but things could have easily been different if we met the brown haired Fayt first. Try it out for yourself. When the cutscene focuses on the others put yourself in the perspective of them being the main cast. It’s pretty trippy. That goes for all the x Fayt pairs.
I see it more as alternative universe extensions of the possible endings, cause the ending with Albel shows them embarking on a journey together and this cutscene shows some of the adventures they had and the dynamic they both have together, they act like a married couple, hurling stings and insults but not really taking any of them seriously lol
Aaron Favor Yeah, it's a special cutscene from the Urssa Lava Temple, a special dungeon that opens after you beat the game. The first two bosses are characters you didn't recruit, and the third is Fayt + paired ending character - who was Albel in my case :)
It was a lot of building up Albel affection points! The biggest thing to do is after recruiting Albel in Airyglyph, you stay the night at the Peterny Inn. Albel will wake Fayt up in the middle of the night, and a cutscene starts. Tell Albel you don't hate him, and he'll save you at the Arena later. There is a lot of other things to do to get affection points, however! I used the Affection Guide on gamefaqs to get as many as possible, and ensure I get the Fayt x Albel ending.

It's been awhile but: Battle Trophies and figurines(?) allow for alternate colours/costumes, which you can change in the status menu.

Albel is so antisocial. And nice white hair.
I wish we would get his white-haired alt in SOA. Would be neat!
