This show takes me back lol.
The main character, Keima, is known as the "god of gaming", but he largely only plays VNs and dating sims. He accidentally signs a contract with a demon to help capture spirits from the demon world, which are now residing inside the hearts of random girls. These opening are largely symbolism because Keima only sees the world as a game and tackles his new objective of conquering girls as he would in his games. The show is kind of ridiculous, but the mind games and 4d level chess this man plays is incredibly fun to watch.
Fun fact, the song first opening is like 8ish minutes long. Idk if it's the best, but I have the most nostalgia for the first opening from listening to the full version many times so it's probably my favorite.

@@SingingWeebNinoel I'm more familiar with it being "god of gaming", but it of course differs based on the translation. Idk what the "official" translation is now, but fan translations were wild back in the day, yo.
This was one of the very first manga I ever read. It's really good and has a lot of references because of MC gaming hobby. The anime was also really well adapted. Damn
The 3rd one is also 12 minutes long too, i like all the openings quite a bit
The 8 minute and 12 minute are because basically all of the OST of the anime is one song. No, really.

It's a show about a guy called conquering god (in video games) due to some bs situation he to now forced conquer the hearts of real girls in real life to save the these girls (basically Mc has to use dating sim game knowledge to make real girls fall in love with him
Left out the part where if he fails he and his helper will literally die XD
Their head will be separated from their body, in other words, it will be cut off

This is one of my personal favorites. *I can see the ending!* One of the first manga I ever read outside shonen, when I was younger. One of the core reasons I am really into romance/comedy animes now. Every character and the story are beautifully written. I love love love it.
This falls into my "Love what I got, wish there was more" category just like Tokyo Ravens and Sora no Otoshimono.

Sora no otoshimono is one of the most underrated manga and I don't know why...it's such good and epic...AND FUNNY AF...XD

For me it is 'D-frag' and 'Fujimura-kun meitsu'(both has chotic nature and fujimura Kun end with true Harem ending)

yayy!!! peace peace!! Except liking something does not mean you think it is good. Something being good does not mean you like it. There is something called objective criticism but that should not take away from you liking a show. Btw this does not just apply to media. You can know something is bad or bad for you but still enjoy doing it. Guilty pleasure exists

I am not into harem but this one got me really invested. This is the only harem manga I actually finished and I _almost_ cried. One of the best romcom animes out there, as well.

A classic this is one of my favorite animes from my childhood. it's a romance anime where the main character is called the god of heroines or something like that be cause hes played visual novels so often and completed so many hes know in the online community. He basically uses his skills as a visual novel player to get real girls to fall for him for magic reasons because the girl with the broom in the opening need to capture escaped spirits from their hearts. Its surprisingly good I really enjoyed it.

Man, I love this show. I own all three seasons on DVD. I don't even usually go for moe/harem anime, but the way that they develop the characters, especially the MC, in this anime is so unique and captivating to watch. The only downside is that they chose to leave parts out from the anime that were crucial to the third season *sigh*
It is a 10/10 for me. I loved the main character 😁

This show is absolutely godly I watched all 3 seasons + ovas in a day
The weird thing about this anime is that they skipped like 30-40 chapters worth of content when a adapting season 3 after season 2.
To sum the story up briefly, it’s about a teenager named Keima Katsuragi who is an eccentric big time gamer. So much so that he considers reality to be inferior to the virtual world. And his specialty is dating sims. He’s so good at them he ends up being called the God of Conquest online. Unfortunately due to a misunderstanding, he ends up accepting a contract with a demon girl named Elsie. Elsie needs his help.
A bunch of evil spirits have escaped from hell and are now hiding within the hearts of troubled young girls. If the evil spirits are not removed, they feed off the consciousness of their host and then eventually be reborn as any unborn future child the host might have in the future. (Don’t worry. This pretty disturbing consequence was only mentioned like once and never explored nor brought up again.)
In order to get the evil spirits out, Keima must make the girl fall for him and kiss him. This action forces the spirit out of the heart of the girl and allows Elsie to capture them. (Side note: Once this is completed, the girl will forget all of their memories during their time with Keima.)
Also, if they fail even once, both Keima and Elsie will have their heads explode.
That’s pretty much the basic idea. And throughout the entire story, they go through this with like 14(?) girls. Around there.
IMO, this is one of the best harems I've watched.
this is not your average harem anime. this is top tier harem anime and u guys should respect it 😌

This anime is a great show disguise as a harem anime, i think the scene were he cries (no spoilers) is one of the times i cried the most in my life

Fun fact about the opening
The full opening 1 and 3 is the longest OP in anime (well i think) from the shorter one with 8 minutes 9 second (op1 tittle god only knows) and the longer one with 12 minutes 39 second (op3 tittle secret of the goddess god only knows)
This is one of those different gem of Harem Anime. One of my favorites back in the days.
Finally someone is talking about this anime, and specifically how the op's are a BANGER
This is one of the rare anime where I loved all the openings. Other ones were Toaru Index and Noragami.
Now the emphasis on games is important but it's not what the story is about or set in. The protagonist is a hardcore otaku gamer who has become a master of dating sims/visual novels, being given the online name "God of Conquest" as he seemingly has all the knowledge on how to make the girls in said visual novels/dating sims fall in love.
Now he unknowingly accepts a request from a real demon girl who has given him the task to drive out escaped demon souls from hell that have possessed many girls by taking shelter in their hearts. The way to release the souls is by making the girls fall in love with him where the emotions of love will fill their hearts and force the demons out where the demon girl can catch them.
So Keima, the protagonist, is forced to use his dating sim/VN knowledge to conquer the many possessed girls.

I just wanted to clarify to clarify that the demons specifically take shelter in the holes in your heart and the goal is to fill the holes with love, leaving no room for the inner demon to reside.
As such, it's a show that actually has great writing for its characters and stories because it's all about actually dealing with deep emotions and finding one's personal self-worth.
Also, the music throughout is on equal par next level as the Ops and animation absolutely gorgeous in moments. Also it's just fucking hilarious. Dubb is great too; if that's your thing.
ah yes ! The world god only knows. A friend of mine made me read the manga and I really liked it (although it's not exactly what you think it is : it's more like a romance anime in real life with a complete otaku). It was interesting to see your reaction and your analysis, as always. I would love to see you react one day to the "Senki zesshou Symphogear" OPs and EDs. It is one of my fav anime but unfortunately it is pretty unknown. It has 5 OP and 5 ED and basically the musics are just INCREDIBLE !

Man, I loved this underrated gem of an anime. I wish/hope a season 4 will happen one day!
Hard to rate it for me. I would maybe give it 8 out of 10 when it comes to the anime bc the 3rd season was too rushed and short.
But it is basically about a boy who only cares about the girls in his dating sim games but due to certain events that happened, his and another character’s lives depend on being able to “win over” real life girls, which he is not happy about.

Man what a throwback
He's basically a gamer otaku who's nicknamed God in the gaming world. He accidentally made a contract with a demon via messages from the demon through a game. Now he has to capture spirits that escaped from hell and hides in the hearts of girls or else the collar thing wrapped around both his and her demom girl's neck will shrink and beheaded them.... It's good though. It's the kind of guilty pleasure anime you'd love to keep watching
It's unfair for an anime too end like that , it totally leaves you wanting too see more( season 4 ) , there must be a season 4 created🥺
I don’t usually like harems but for some reason this one was really good. I’m just sad that there might not ever be an adaptation for the stuff that hasn’t been adapted yet

A must watch. One of the best if not the best harem anime. Manga is better, but anime is animated.
voice of the protag also voices the protag in Baka x Test (Baka to Test), and Zenitsu in Demon Slayer (Kimetsu no Yaiba), he's in a ton of other shows as well.

I have watched all 3 seasons of this anime. I look back on it fondly. I haven't watched it in 2-ish years, but I give it a 8.
The story is about Keima, a god of dating sims and visual novels. When he accidently is forced into a contract. The only way to help himself is to make these girls fall in love with him so that they can capture these spirits that go inside the unpredictable girls.
One of the story moments I remember best is the fact of the running gag where he upsets all the teachers in school, because he somehow can play games in class while getting the best grades out of everyone!
I watched it all and it was great!!

Cool thing about these ops! All of these songs are written for the anime, but they are MUCH longer than what you heard here (the first one is 8 minutes long, the third is nearly 13). They're written to mimic religious style songs with multiple movements, and they're definitely worth a listen! They kind of tell stories of their own. Also they slap
Kanon-chan and Haqua-san are the best DEFINITIVE Girls! I hate the ending of the series. But I love too much the show
