Do you think with your config the GPU/CPU are thermal throttled? Also do you have it switch back to 60hz while on battery? My battery life is good for it being a gaming laptop. I get about 5 to 6 hours but I also do have the 4060 model
I didn't get the impresion it was being throttled at any point, and Lenovo did make a point of telling me that wasn't the case, too. A for the 60Hz question, unfortunately I have sent the laptop back to Lenovo, so cannot test that for you. The UI is very customisable though, I suspect if it happens you can override it if you want.
@@motivatedtravel im asking if you are playing very intensive games which are both cpu and gpu intensive, does battery drain while plugged in ? Maybe like 5% in two hours
@@motivatedtravelIts available in the task manager, it has 8 GB dedicated video memory and 16 GB shared video memory which utilises the system RAM as VRAM . The 16 GB VRAM is out of the 32 GB available RAM which is used by both the IGPU and DGPU.

@@motivatedtravel You can have it automatically switch to 60hz on battery within the lenovo vantage app. Also I appreciate your comment and content!
What about Quiet mode? (the one which uses no dgpu?) What's the battery life in that mode like? (if possible rtx 4060 + i7-14700HX)
Hopefully another memember of the community can answer that for you. I didn't test that specifically while I had the laptop on hand.
Is there any battery drain while gaming on performance mode? On the games which are both cpu and gpu intensive
I'm not 100% sure what you're asking, sorry? Do you mean is there more drain? The battery drain is generally at its most intense in performance mode.

@@hritikbansal7997 Ah right, I didn't notice it, but also didn't test it directly. Wasn't looking to see if that was an issue - sorry!
Will white discoloured under constant heat?
Hard to tell from the time I've used it, but I doubt it. Interesting question though.
A well balanced review . I own the same maxxed spec 7i , the 4070 gpu is 140 watt and 8 gb only not 24 gb since its a mobile gpu.

Mobile 4070 24gb doesn’t exist, even desktop version is 12gb.
That was my understanding, too. But it's what it said. I'm going to ask for some clarity on that - the 4090 does I think?
@@motivatedtravel 4090 mobile if i remember correctly has 16gb max.
@@Magnisus May be desktop variant that does.
24 GB RTX 4070 WHAT??!
Yeah, that's what it said in the system specs, but I thought it was the 4090 that reached that high?
It is just 8gb ddr6 vram RTX 4070@@motivatedtravel
