it's definitely tough to speculate where natasha will be a decade from now let alone 20 years like some of the women you mentioned,as well as pj harvey and of the ultimate icons like patti smith and kate bush. however,there is definitely something in natasha that i too sense that i don't get from many young female artists at the moment that makes me feel very confident that she will continue to be a great artist.
I've always like this woman. As she's gotten a little older she's evolved in my opinion. The way she moves/prowls and sings, it's like I can feel something inside me moving right along with her. I can't stand most of what's out there today. I like a handful of female singers. Shirley Manson, Natasha of course, Alanis Morrisette, Aimme Mann, Bjork to name a few in the group. All these fluffy nonsense super duper stars make me want to gag. Radio, is polluted... NATASHA! ROCKS!
