Barriers and safe rooms give you time and time only. Never use them as a actual safe room-and make sure said safe room always has two entrances or exits, because if the nextbox comes banging at your door you have no chance to escape. The minute the barrier turns red, run out the other door.
Also you bunny hop by hitting it with your knees

  • @ultrasone12

In 4 corners right when the round starts I look at the window to see the nexbots direction and then I go the opposite direction they're going to get a headstart and survive longer (trust me you don't wanna run the way the enemies are going) this works unless there are other nextbots that go another way then it's gonna be really hard to get out there and you can't use this method unless all nextbots are going the same way soo yeah that's my tip and hopefully it works for everyone!

here's another tip i don't see people using: sometimes you can actually jump through a nextbot since their hitbox doesn't actually cover them entirely but near the bottom of the png, so if you manage to jump over its hitbox you've essentially finessed it. (keep in mind it sometimes fails)

    • @Hiveatel

    Explanations/Additions:
    Controls:
*Rmb (right mouse button)* - *zoom in* (PC)
    Filler:
Barriers *ARE not* something to *rely much* on, that's a good point.
    Movement:
*Strafing* works because instead of just *moving* to the *right/left*, you *move the side AND move your mouse*. It also *increases* your *speed*.
*Wall hugging* works _probably_ because *moving diagonally makes you move faster*, so I guess *moving into a wall doesn't make you slower*, not very sure.
Same thing with *strafe tapping*, you *move faster diagonally*. You have to *spam* them to keep moving in a *straight line*.
*Trimping* is also something I'm unsure of. For *ramps*, you *move faster diagonally*, not only *horizontally*, but on *any angle*. And it makes you *fly high* like that. For *object trimping*, Evade probably has a*function* where it*moves you up* when you are just *a bit away* from *landing safely* it makes you *go up*, to make the game more *beginner-friendly*. And it also gives you a *mega boost up* if you are moving really quickly. Unsure too.
Note: you can't just watch a tutorial and suddenly matter trimping, good trimping requires a lot of practise and skill. So it's just the question of time.
That's it, thanks for reading this comment till the end! How this helped

there's also a tech i like to call edge hopping since it is very similar to the Source engine's edge bug, obvol even does it at 8:18 after his trimp.
edge hopping is nearly indistinguishable from trimping, obvol even mistakes edge hopping for trimping at 8:08. basically, on things like fences or poles, you jump at it and your feet will slide right off of it and give speed similar to a trimp. this is useful for certain jumps and minor speed gains. it's obvious that it's not just trimping since you can do it on sharp edges like invisible barriers (i have a video called "that funny jump on desert bus" showing two edge hops, one in the second part of the barrier) and the cargo like 8:18.
the reason i attribute it to edge bugging in Source is because they both involve going to the corner of a sharp edge and sliding off of it, just in Source you can only do it from falling onto it.
since this video was recorded on an earlier version, its clear that Obvol experienced more intense edge hopping or just got lucky like 8:55. its not as good now, though with enough luck you can still get a really high jump from it.

I'm not a pro but I once went on a reviving saga in desert bus. Juking nextbots and quick thinking.
Only did that once but it was fun.

This is how (i think) you should use characters
Headphones and Hermes shoes: On close quarters maps, You can hear them far away with headphones and you can get away fast with hermes shoes.
Briefcase and badge: for grinding. For example, Drab (or idk that map without textures) has a safespot where no nextbot can get you. There, use brief and badge to earn 10% more XP or cash.
Stlits: Everyone uses them but ffs its only a 6% increase WHY WOULD YOU USE THEM?? just dont use stlits lol
Medkit : If you get downed a lot, you should use medkit. Makes you survive longer
    Doctor headphones: Idk man
If there are any other characters I missed, let me know.

i have a tip: if bots are coming at you from both sides, or if you are being cornered, go towards the bot. and just before you are gonna get hit, drink cola. you have to do it a bit before they run into you, because they might still get you. i use this trick every time. as you are drinking the cola, you will have the animation of you drinking it. and as the animation is playing, you can pretty much run through them! (it might not work everytime tho)

My name is Yoshikage Kira. I'm 33 years old. My house is in the northeast section of Morioh, where all the villas are, and I am not married. I work as an employee for the Kame Yu department stores, and I get home every day by 8 PM at the latest. I don't smoke, but I occasionally drink. I'm in bed by 11 PM, and make sure I get eight hours of sleep, no matter what. After having a glass of warm milk and doing about twenty minutes of stretches before going to bed, I usually have no problems sleeping

with good enough timing, slide hopping allows uncapped speed. this is in line with other games that have bhopping such as CSGO. the timing is really specific and after a few weeks of practice I can only rarely get like, 3 good slide hops in a row. the speed you gain is VERY small, and is only noticeable one you do a ton of them in a row. you'll know you did it when there's no sound, which is hard to notice with music on :(
strafing (or as it really is Air Strafing since strafing is just A and D) helps increase that speed a lot.
