This video is amazing. Thank you so much. The way you teach this step by step is very helpful and you explain things very clearly. Even though I'm a novice at this stuff I can't wait for the second part of this.
My daughter's homework today is this exact thing! We have been working on it for a couple hours, your video is helping us get to the right answer. Thank you!
Thursday, 5/21 - Join me for a live stream where I will give a channel update on things I am working on (VEX VR, CODERZ, ARDUINO). I will be demonstrating some new stuff and also answering questions. Starts 5:30 PM Mountain Time. - ruclips.net/video/r9mFypNVuBU/видео.html Hope to see you there!
I’m not sure when it will be... it’s proving more difficult than I expected. I’m having trouble coming up with a better maze learning algorithm. I’m doing research when I have time. For now make sure you watch 7a and 7b. I will likely use some of the principals from those in the future. Any other requests you’d like to see videos on?
Thanks again for a great video! You have made it to Wichita, Kansas. 3 Kids have shared their code this week....all 3 exact copies of yours. :-) Thanks again!
:( Sorry about that. I have to say that coding isn't something most professionals do from scratch. If I wasn't doing these videos, someone else would. I always change my assignment requirements to be different from the publicly available lessons. So for this Dynamic Maze, you may want them to solve the maze by another means... like using a "my block" or specific variables... or to print out the coordinates at each point the robot turns. This gives them the ability to change the code to meet the specific coding requirements of the "client". Please contact me if you would like any more ideas. These videos are supposed to be helpful and not interfere with anyones classes. Several teachers are using my videos in EdPuzzel and that seems to work for them.

Can you do one that includes bumpers? Even though you said distance is more efficient, I think you should try using bumpers in the following video or any time.
Hi Julián! I am sorry but I do not understand your question. Can you give some more details? You might also want to join the VEX VR Facebook group for help too - facebook.com/groups/2669449226665989
@@MarkJohnston of course, thanks for answering. Well, I want to make the robot go up or right (this should be aleatory), an aleatory number into (100-1800), then go up or right (again aleatory)
Is there a way to make the robot turn 90 degrees left OR right after it senses a wall? The video helped, but I want to also create something somewhat more original.
YES! There is a way. You can change the turn direction in the block, or change the heading degrees to positive or negative to change the direction. I highly encourage you to make your code original... good job!

I’m not sure I can do a part 2 for a little while. It’s a bit more complicated to do what I want in blockly so I might need to hold off a bit.
This is MOST excellent. Teaching Robotics during a pandemic at home has been completely revolutionized by your help and insight. Well done!

for one of the mazes it literally ignored that there was a wall in front of it and just clipped right through it
Yeah one of them is glitched... should still work though.

Yo, to avoid falling out of the world, use IF not(distance found object) because in the maze that is ONLY true if you're about to suicide

i copied this to see if it works and it dont, it just gets stuck in a loop turning and turning never getting anywhere
I’ll double check the code tomorrow. It’s possible that it no longer works. VEX may have updated the playground.
it left through the entrance
lol
enter the same code as you and in some parts it went out of the red box :(
strange. It is possible that they updated the maze since I recorded this video. Does the program work most of the time?
