FAA had arguably the more difficult draw to secure the victory (Murray, Norrie, Rublev & Tsitsipas). Congrats on a well-deserved win. And here's to a great start to 2022!!!
Murray too
@@bobby224812 lol nice one
@@adog2k10 lol I think he won more games than toilet today
That was a tough draw indeed but FAA had of recent been challenging the best of the best. More good things to come!!
@@bobby224812 correct.
Felix is a top player, only 21 years old but feels like he’s been around for much longer
Because he turned pro with 14
@@lucasslash1000 that’s crazy if you think about it
@@andrejesherdesousa4562 it was actually when he was 16, I dont think you can be a pro at 14, nor will you be any competition to the other pros
@@justinjerrylee1659 he played a challenger match aged 14...
His confidence has gone up this year.
Tsitsipas had absolutely no chance today. Didn't expect FAA would be so dominating.
His potential is Limitless.
He had if he played well. He played very bad. That is not to say anything negative for Alliasime who played great.
Yeah Tsitsipas played bad, but I don't think his game is taylor made for these courts, I fancy his chances more on clay! He's not the type of player who can flatten out his shots, it's heavy on top spin.. but also he played bad, and his serve wasn't doing him any favors)
Tsitsipas is regressing. Won't get better till dad is out of the coaching picture
@@vivahernando1 How is Stef regressing exactly? He had elbow surgery 2 months ago and made a slam semi and the final in Rotterdam in which the conditions do not favor his game at all, without proper pre season. And his father wasn’t even with him this tournament. Yes he didn’t play that well in the final and he can improve his ros but I wouldn’t call it regressing. Plus Felix was on 🔥 today wasn’t much he could do with Felix’ serve.
I think that medvedev game showed him exactly the level he's been training for and it will be the turning point of his career.
100%. USO 21 he was demolished BUT at AO he was a different guy who clearly stepped up his game ( forget the bagel at the ATP cup lol). He's improving really quickly and from the top 10 he doesn't really have big weaknesses like Berrettini with his BH.
I agree, like a running athletes, there times improve each season and endurance improve with the training workload and food intake ,and game management
Well deserved, FAA is on fire this year ! He was impressive against Medevedev on AO (and the whole tournament actually)
Watch out for him at Wimbledon this year. Now he's won a tournament, I think you will see a massive step forward mentally.
@@sandman1347 He already made a massive mentally step at AO. Honestly, he was my Favorite on this tournament !
@@sandman1347 yeah .he's good on grass
His favorite surface is clay.
@@MrsAndMrIyer Ridiculous. He's a grass court guy and secondly hard court. Clay is his worst surface. Felix is a big hitter with a big serve and a big forehand.
Couldn't be more proud of you Felix! Been following you since 2017 and watched your final woes but NO MORE... You're an ATP Title Champion! Many more to come!
Of the young guys he's one of the most promising one and he's catching up really quickly with the best guys. I can see him go far in slams. Made already 3 QF (one SF included).
yes, how fast he improve is the most important
Alcaraz too. They may start beating Zverev and Tsitsipas consistently.
@@ਸਾਰੇ he has the game and doesn't really have big weaknesses, for now experience is his disadvantage but he will improve. Look at his mate Shapovalov, he's not improving that much and not consistent at all. There are many guys in the top 10 who need to progress and they are 3-4 year older than him, Tsitsipas has a weak backhand, Zverev for now only good in bo 5, Medvedev has bad net game and can't really play on clay and grass. Berrettini no backhand.. FAA is very complete in skills in my opinion and can play very well on all surfaces ( less on clay for now) looking forward to see him in Wimbledon!
Looks like Sinner is forgotten already
@@Gilgarth IKR???
4:26 the commentator says, "He's made it...to no one's surprise." Hope these are the words to define FAA's career trajectory going forward.
i loved when he said that.
Felix is honorable, polite and level headed, some might say that’s even more important than his playing skills. Well done young man!
Ya it's most important in the long run 👏🏻👏🏻
FAA seemed unbeatable here. He has a great forehand and a solid serve, but they seem to let him down under pressure (maybe that's why he was top ranked without a title). Great to see him finding the consistency and focus to bring it home.
Pity about the AO semis. Reckon he got unnerved by Medvedev mocking his grunting. He seemed in the zone till then
@@rogerparker4468 His grunt is really annoying though lmao
@@agentbuizel9875 and Medvedev is highly sensitive and irritable. He whinged and whined his way to the AO Final losing a bunch of fans on the way.
His backhand was super impressive this week too 😮
I never get tired of watching FAA play. He definitely deserves this.
His tennis is great, if he could only stop making that grunting noise, it's annoying.
His forehand with its curvature is a thing of beauty to watch ! Him and Shapo watching them is a delight !
Definitely tiring of his pornhub grunts
@@pilecajuha1 would you prefer Nadal’s noise? 😉
@@youngmyth ahaha of course not.. not fan of grunts
Felix set for a HUGEEEEEEE year. He’s on another level now 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Hmmm
Congrats to FAA. In his match against Rublev, I thought that he was going to fold after losing the first set. But he surprised me by coming back to win the match in 3. In the final, I was also skeptical about Felix winning since he lost the past 5 matches against Tsitsipas and obviously his 0-8 record in finals was definitely on his mind during the match. Again, he surprised me by winning in straight sets and he made it look easy against a top 5 ranked player. Out of the younger players, I think that Felix has a pretty good chance of winning a grand slam in the future along with Alcaraz.
First tournament where he plays good tennis
I doubted FAA as well but today he earned the respect of many ppl. This ATP title will surely bring confidence
Fun note: Tsitsipas is now 0-8 in ATP 500 Finals.
@@gio-bb4hz ATP Cup 2022, AO 2022, Wimby 2021, USO 2021?

Felix finally arrives!! He's been playing impeccable tennis, precision, speed, above all his concentration level!! Go Felix!!👏👏👏💪👍
Congratulations! His mental and physical improvement are a credit to him and his team.
Wow, this is like a whole new Felix! He was so focused and composed, he deserved this title 100%
CONGRATS to Felix this Victory was CLEAN and DECISIVE. Now he can go about and feel relax since he has completely done away with that FINALS narrative.🏆
He must have been happy to go up against Tsitsipas in the the final. He has a dominating record over him.
First of many titles proud to say I’ve been aboard for the whole journey. Playing at a top 5 level!!
Ya it is a top 5 class tennis. Minimal errors and incredible pinpoint serve!
Top 5? I’d say that’s a top 2 performance for sure. Impeccable and complete performance that would’ve challenged the big-3 at their best.
@@prkrmc6457 Woah this is bs.His performance was real good but big 3 best is really really hard to beat for anyone.
@@prkrmc6457 that's exaggeration.
Felix just served a notice. It will be fun to watch him this year and beyond.
Man, I remember all the way back in 2017 when I went here live to watch Federer, Kraijcek was super pleased to have Felix play there as well, who was just 16 at the time, but he talked a lot about his potential. Man was he right, so nice to see all his talent coming together now in this very same tournament, hoping he can now start to consistently challenge Medvedev and Zverev and maybe even Djoko and Nadal
Congratulations! Felix, from a fellow Canadian who's watched admiringly your pace setting, ball placement, and explosive forehand, your win comes as a well-deserved and timely confidence booster. Felicitations!
I have a feeling that FAA has a chance to win a grand slam this season. He looks so good right now and still improving.
Not clay or wimby for sure. But us open he can have a crack at it
@@roydondsa I actually think he has a better shot at wimby. than us open
What an absolute clinic put on by FAA. So happy for the guy overcoming his finals jinx.
So proud of this guy! FAA is already having a fantastic year. Hopefully he wins a few more in 2022. Great things coming for him
Cannot possibly put into words how happy I am for my hometown hero. May success continue along his travels
Felicitaciones,desde Uruguay. Felix enorme, exquisito
Finally he won an ATP tournament! And not a 250. Started with 500 :) Saw him losing in Lyon in 2019. Then numerous defeats in the finals followed... Even I felt that enormous stress. Now things will get better for FAA.
I really love how FAA played to climb his first ATP title. Congratz man.
Deserved ! FAA has improved so much over the past weeks ! Congratulations !
Emotional here in watching the trophy being raised up! FAA what a match, what a journey and how proud we are of your perseverance. Thoroughly enjoy watching you improve your game. Your ⭐️professional personality ⭐️is also admired. 💯🇨🇦🍁💛
Nice touch immediately after your match to facetime your father with your mother and team by your side😍.

I loved when the commentator made the correction because I was thinking "what do you mean, finding the lines now?" This man has BEEN painting the lines for a while now lol
Enfin Félix ! Tellement content pour toi. La glace est brisée 😉
Well done Felix. We’re proud of you.
What a terrible name tho
@@ferise1 why? it's cooler than some drab every-guy name.
@@ferise1 Why terrible? We all love FAA and his name!
Felix (FAA) played amazingly, Tsitsipas's weakness this time was in the return serve, a left-handed backhand, when receiving a hard serve from Felix, he always bad returned the ball... by Felix, it was just finished..good job Felix. .
Wow, FAA looks totally different player now (actually, since last Wimbledon or so) , well deserved 1st title...👏👏
Consistent in slams as well, definitely a contender to win 1 this year..
Congratulations FAA! I reckon this will be the first of the many titles he's gonna win!
How plays Aliassime! His short preparation is ideal on fast courts. And your timing has been impressive. He taught a class in Tsisipas. The Canadian is losing his fear of facing the biggests in the rankings. He will soon be winning Grand Slams, maybe this year.
This guy is heading to number 1.
Not since Stefan Edbergs victory at Wimbledon in 1988 have I been so deeply touched by a victory in men's tennis. So well deserved! What a huge step in Félix' career! Moreover, Félix is without any doubt the greatest & warmest personality in the men's game.
Felix Auger-Aliassime hit a lot of mind blowing shots, never bet against him people.
Congratulations! He played a very solid tournament from day 1, he showed maturity and determination! Amazing kid!
Now that's the kind of tennis I want to see! Thanks Felix for stepping up for this generation! Fast, precise and varied game. Hope you win big this year, you deserve it!
We all knew he could do it. He just had to ACTUALLY do it. Glad Felix finally earned his first title. And against another great player too.
Congratulations on a very level headed , and well earned win. May you get many more.
1st of many indeed!!those top players helped him push to even being better!i celebrate with him!!!🥂
For FAA to win the tournament with his draw was very impressive. People forget in the AO quarterfinals he had a match point on Medy. Lays the forehand back like Federer a little. Great match!
What a dream start of the year for Felix, in Aus open quarter final he fought in a marathon with World no 2, now champion of Rotterdam ❤️ The next gen of Tennis
What a terrible name tho…
Finally he wins his first title! So glad for him. His form has been phenomenal since the start of this year and glad he didn't fell short. Let's gooo!!
Magnificent play by Auger.
Go Felix....there is more to come. I can just feel it !
Congratulations Félix !
So so happy for you
We all knew it was just a matter of time.
Many more to come you're way.
It's been a long time coming for Auger. Finally.
Very strong performances in both Aus open and Rotterdam. Looks like this could be break through year for FAA !!! Look forward to it.
This guy more than deserves it, he is top 5 player right know for sure.
They put Acapulco match beforehand for some reason thought it was this final and it was Tsitsipas winning. I was shocked because I was very sure Felix will dominate and win, and there he is doing it, one of the best players on tour right now.
Liking the new gen!
Felicitaciones Félix, en hora buena!!
Continua así!!!
FAA so deserves this he put in the work and boy has it shown in the Australian Open and in this tournament he's here to stay no doubt congratulations.🇨🇦
The Nadal name continues to serve and enrich the tennis world. Many players on the tour have the potential & skills to become "big", but only a few could do.
And Felix here, as well as having the necessary talent, seems to be hardworking under the guidance of Rafa's uncle Toni Nadal, and picking up the fruits.
Probably Toni is "the" guy for him, seeing the considerable uplift in Felix's performance recently.
Well done Felix and Toni!!
Auger tem lutado bastante nos torneios, e em algum momento ele iria conseguir seu objetivo. Não é nada fácil esse embate com os "top's". Tsitsipas é um adversário muito difícil e nessa final o Auger não lhe deu a menor chance. Congrat, Felix Auger-Aliassime!!👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Felix played very tactical hitting on both sets the first service game of Tsitsipas. This caused him mentally and emotionally. Felix played really top level so nobody would have chances. The strategy of his game sealed the win early on. Tsitsipas did great in one month over 1000 points can not complain either.
He stayed in the moment, one point at a time. Keeping focus on the current point is tough near the end.
He will be my fav player once Rafa retires
Him, Carlos, and Sinner
That he makes it is not a surprise to any one in the tennis community. But that he nails the last set 6 - 2 against Tsitsipas is truly amazing indeed.
Wooooow well done 👏🏾, a new chapter has begun. Bravo 🙌🏽
Congrats to our Canadian Hero. He is such a cool, and simple young man. We are very very proud of you. Many young Canadians will be looking up to you as their role model. Can’t wait for your first Grand Slam.
Well done, and certainly well deserved. 👍👍❤️❤️
Congratulations to FFA on your first tour title, much deserved. I remember watching him play in 2019 in Mexico for the first time. Great start to 2022. He is really good player. I suspect now the titles will start pouring in now !
Congratulations on winning your first single ATP tournament. Well deserved, and hopefully more to come.
I've become a huge fan- keep it up kid!!!
Impressive how he is improving and improving, his serve and his precision on winners is on!!! A perfect match by him!!!
So great to see and so happy to see these kind of moments!
He is the future of tennis 🎾
so happy to see felix develop his movement, his point construction and really elevate his belief to hang in with anyone. the AO loss was tough no doubt but see it as a turning point in his young career
Well done Felix!!!
I'm so happy for him.
Félicitations pour ta victoire. Ce fut un beau match et certainement le début d'une série de victoires dans le future.
Felix is on his way to a top 5 spot this year! His game is getting sharper and sharper, excited to see what he accomplished at the French.
Bravo Felix, well done 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏
The metamorphosis of FAA is astonishing, unbelievable….I thought Alcaraz is the guy to watch for of the N- Gen..But FAA,OMG😱
Congrats Felix. Well done. 🇨🇦
Festejo como Rafa jajaja dedicado al toni, que grande faa, nivelazo
Your resilience and perseverance rewarded you with a remarkable success and achievements all the best in your endeavours
Felix played exceptionally well ! He had a great strategy , a solid forehand , backhand and crisp game ! Tsitsipas clearly today was not in his element at all ! The amount of back hand errors from Tsitsipas was concerning! He normally has an error free game ! Today Auger rose to the occasion and ran with it, and closed the game quick ! This has been long coming and well deserved by Auger ! Auger now has that ATP 500 dark cloud over him to rest ! Now he can catch a break ! Having been through a ton of finals , this must be totally 💯 sweet ! Well deserved Auger ! The Greek Tennis 🎾 God is one of my faves too ! Along with Auger BUT this one I was all in for Auger ! Great showcase of tennis 🎾
Well deserved. Congratulations to Auger-Aliassime. I for one never doubted he was capable of it and also able to bring great tennis.
Now THIS is true next gen player!
Une étoile est née ⭐️
Very nice!!! First of many titles to come, I'm sure. Also, let's not go bonkers if he doesn't immediately win his next tournament or something. I know the haters are just waiting for him to lose his next match.
In particular the salty Greek fans
I dwell too much on tennis channels and I haven’t seen much haters. FAA is a great player with a good demeanor. So happy he got this first title, let’s see if he has broken a mental barrier now 💪
How can you possibly even hate him. Such a likeable character
Congrats to Felix for finally breaking his duck.
He played such a dominant match against Stefanos who is now 0-8 in ATP 500 finals although he’s won 1 master title and 1 ATP finals.
Stef had tougher opponents whenever he played the 500 tournaments. He should have won 2-3 of them that he let slip away tho. He will win one eventually.
Felix's set of weapons:
1. That reliable backhand
2. His forehand finishes the point
3. He's serving very efficiently. He's not a serve bot but his 1st serves sets up the winners.
4. The mental toughness. His 2022 Aussie Open encounter against Medvedev taught him a valuable lesson: play well when you're ahead.
5. Of course, the athleticism. He moves very well and I like his footwork.
I expect him to win a Grand Slam next year, if not this year.
Felix has come to the scene and will be the one to watch as he grabs the torch from the big 3 (Fed, Nadal and Djoker) Hope he will raise many trophies in the years ahead. Congrats n start the winning streak.
They can only win 3 sets matches.
@@vidyasonavane9602 all champions started from young and slowly mature with experiences and start hauling in trophies at 21-25 and then hopefully if healthy could play till 35...the oldies will fade because they cannot sustain the rigor of the game...no goats live forever
So happy for Felix. Very good player and very nice guy.
Felix's tennis is beautiful, he is balanced, reminds me of Federer's best form back in 2000's. Only thing a bit annoying is the grunt, anything else looks truly beautiful. Good looking technique!
Man it’s difficult to compare others’ games to a young federer’s. I mean those early 2000s were some special stuff.
The Start of many for Sure.
what a lesson by Felix, bravo, showing who is in charge !!!
FAA YOU ARE NOW A HUNTER EAGLE.YOU NEED TO FLY AND REACH THE HIGHEST POSITION.OUR DESIRE IS TO SEE YOU AT THE TOP. KEEP CALM AND BELIEVE.YOU CAN. CONGRATS! FROM A TOGOLESE FAN.
Jeez! This guy has really taken it to next level
god i've been waiting for this breakthrough for FAA
Felicitaciones, Félix Auger Aliassime! Bien merecido.
That was a brilliant performance, well earned.
Felix has a great future ahead of him. He is getting better with each game he plays. A hard worker
Awesome performance . Complete demolition job well executed . FAA is here to stay .
