For the tip with kelp you can actually use bone meal to create seagrass which will create a second source block, very useful in skyblock

With the wither skull and stray mechanic, you could use powdered snow to turn skeletons from a skeleton spawned into strays, then blow them up

A better way to waterlog chest is to put signs and/or item frames on the sides so the water doesn’t flow out it looks way better that’s what I did in my world

Honestly trap doors are kind of expensive. I prefer using the carpet trick for fencing in animals. You can hop on the carpet, but the animals can't. On the bastions the tips are good, but I'm past the point of needing to sneak around and strategize. I've had max gear for a long while now, so I can go all in and fight all of the mobs.

U can also make a infinite water source in a different way u need : one water bucket, 3 bottles and a cauldron, u have to place water bucket in a 2x2 hole and pick up the water using tbe bottles fill the cauldron with the bottles pick up the full cauldron with the empty bucket and put it in the other place.

Another way to get an infinite water source is if you have a cauldron and place the bucket of water above it, it still fills the cauldron and you can pick up the water from above the cauldron and in the cauldron
