I can confirm that they most likely don't turn off by itself, as I left my Crusher ANC 2's and 20+ hours later, I realised they was still on and only had 10% left, so leaving them on is a big battery drainer. Not a big deal, but definitely something to keep in mind.

Facts. I have the Hesh Evo and those have auto shutdown and I love it. The ANC sadly don't and I hate finding out my battery going from 90% to 10% the next morning. Glad I use them for gaming only

It's not clear to me about the sound quality, is it better than the crushers evo in the mids and highs?

Tbh I had two pairs of the Hesh ANC. The left driver on both pairs stopped producing sound after a year or so. But nonetheless, the ANC on these is decent for the price. However, you can get better for the same or even less money. Since then, I've moved to the Soundcore q35s and honestly speaking, they're better than the Hesh ANC in every department. Build quality, sound quality, noise cancelling, features, battery life, the carrying case, comfort, pretty much everything you can think of.
The ANC is better. There's less noticeable white noise and they do a noticeably better job of blocking out low and high frequency sounds. Unfortunately, the ANC on both the Hesh and q35 change the sound, but with the q35s, the change isn't as bad as with the Hesh ANC.
With the Hesh ANC, the mid bass frequencies get pulled back and the sub bass frequencies get pushed forward with ANC on, and imo not in a good way. It lacks punch and sounds muddy and loose. Not just that, but the mids sound more scooped up and thin with ANC on, and the highs get noticeably more harsh and start to loose airiness, making them sound more closed in. Whereas with ANC off, the mids are more full, the bass has more body, and the highs become less harsh and sound more open.
Even still, the q35s simply sound better. Out of the box, the highs aren't as sharp as the Hesh ANC, but they are still reasonably detailed and have better definition imo. And the midrange sounds more even and has noticeably more clarity. Essentially, they have less of a hollow 'tin can' sound to them compared to the Hesh. On top of that, the q35s have noticeably more volume to them, whereas the Hesh ANC are lacking in the volume department. And no matter what mode you use the q35s in, they still sound more open and have a better soundstage than the Hesh.
With ANC on, the bass gets pushed forward on the Q35s, but it doesn't negatively affect the bass quality like the Hesh, and the mid-bass frequencies aren't pulled back, so they keep their body and punch, and while its still not perfect, its noticeably more tight and well put together compared to the Hesh. One qualm I have with the q35s though is when I use them with the ANC off, they do start to roll off a little bit in sub bass frequencies, but other than that, they are better sounding than the Hesh. This isn't even mentioning the fact that the q35s have a robust equalizer where you can better tune the headphones either. With the Hesh, you need to use a third party equalizer to fine tune them. Even then, I still managed to get a better sound out of the q35s compared to the Hesh.
All in all, the Hesh ANCs were great when I used them, but they simply can't compete with other newer budget ANC headphones in the same price range, especially since headphones like the q35s beat them in every department. Not just that, but things like the tight fit (I need to extend the Hesh ANCs all the way out to wear them, and they're still tight), and the cheap feeling build quality especially hold them back imo. If Skullcandy releases a Hesh ANC 2 that fixes the issues with the current Hesh ANC and adds some of the Skull IQ features that the Crusher ANC 2 has, maybe it'll be able to compete with my q35s.

Hey I have JBL 510 bt's and I'm about to upgrade to skullcandy crusher evo, I have a friend who has hesh evo, while I understand heah evo and hesh ANC are different, in my experience the hesh evo are great, they are noise isolating, and they sound good there fairly balanced, have good bass, there also cheaper than the heah ANC, the crusher evo also have noise isolating and, of course haptic bass, the hesh ANC fall somewhere in the middle, apparently you get some white hiss, like most ANC but overall they seem like a good headphone, I'll let you know on my experience with the crusher evo

I have these in white. By month 5 they started peeling pretty badly on the cushions, they are built a little big, so they don’t sit right over my ears like they should but weigh down, no padding on head, they leak sound SO BADLY so everyone and their mother will know and hear what you’re listening to, noise canceling is decent but bare minimum compared to others, blue tooth distance okay, and the sound is great! The app works brilliantly for headphones and apple phone. I love it sound wise and choosing different options. I got mine on sale for $107 plus tax so around $112-$116. It’s the peeling on the cushions that is a major problem especially for that price. And I don’t use them for working out but leisure and walking since I’m neurodivergent. It’s a good intro but this won’t last for gym goers who also sweat. Personally, I hope to find better ones that last but these have been a great intro for me as I am neurodivergent and need some kind of noise canceling to help me.

I'm honestly learning and testing out new headphones as I go, so I don't have many recommendations yet. Depends on your budget but I really like the Sony XM5s, even the older models like the XM4 and XM3s are great for cheaper! Bose makes some great everyday headphones too with their Quiet Comfort lineup. But for a more budget-friendly pair there's the Anker Soundcore Life Q30 which I haven't tried yet but I've heard they are pretty good for the price. Thanks for watching and good luck finding a new pair!
