Sweet. I love flying south along the coast of Florida. I always had a side view until now. View was awesome to see from front. Great video and please keep them coming! Thanks Captain!!!
Howdy from the Mid West in the US. My wife and I were watching videos of Amsterdam recently and were thinking that would be a great place to visit. Hopefully we'll get there one day.
Like I was SIC right there with you again, Jim! Another great video (no pilar blocking view) and ATC audio combined, awesome. Perhaps I am being a bit biased seeking these details watching your adventures and sincerely believe others share the level of detailed interest as do I - based on others blog responses. Looking forward to more Vlogs. Shout out to Signature and your fine crew too. Ron Boyd 58 YO Student Pilot - 7S3 Oregon
Nice approach. Good ole MIA. I couldn't tell as you landed, is cockroach corner still there. N W Corner of the airport. Had all the best old aircraft. Got to fly in a DC-7 from there to Belize and back. We had gotten work down on our aircraft at Airtech, don't know if there still around any more either. It's been awhile.
I can't always get the outside visual, instrument panel and audio. when I do, it always goes up as one of these ATC videos. I started the vlogs because I felt that even if I didn't get all three components, the videos still had value and I put them together as a day instead of deleting. That's where the vlogs came from.
The general rule of thumb is that you can add .2 to each hour of flight time if your a captmoonbeam subscriber. it's one of those little known subscriber benefits.
Great shots of the Florida coast, I love that view from the right side. Great ATC, if you violate class B airspace what are the consequences besides causing havoc & unsafe situations for other aircraft.
+captmoonbeam when I was still flying w my airline, anytime we came down here our heads were on swivels worried some student would pop up unannounced!?
ATC Very good since everyone is a critic how about a wide-angle shot to include the PFD I like it when it includes the app plate (also a short interview of the pasangers and how they enjoyed enjoyed the flight LOL)
It was total silence in back since we were empty. My perspective on criticism is this. if your struggle to create draws interest, it will also will generate criticism which is really a discussion of your work. I was going to put in the approach plate but, I had to make a choice upload it and leave for work or hope I could get it up next week. When in doubt upload and upload often. so i did.
Hey Jim. It's Rob from Australia again. Can you tell me what the little black tube looking thing to the right of the compass on the windshield divider is?
It's an ice detect light. It shines a little red circle of light on the windshield. You can't see it during the day and at night it;s hard to see. If the windshield starts to accumulate ice at night the light will start to reflect on the ice and grows with the ice accumulation, warning the pilots that ice is forming on the airframe.
Great footage as usual Cap.... By the way, you are still not showing up on my feedly reader? Every since YT got rid of collections, I don't subscribe to any videos, I just have them show up on my feedly reader....
What's the reflective thing in the sky. At first I thought it was in fact a reflection till I saw it go behind the clouds at 10:00 to 10:20 when it re appears. Also I was wondering what was the strangest thing you've seen while in the sky? Love your videos keep em coming :-)
Oh, I forgot to mention the UFO that was following us. :) for some reason I never noticed it before and I'm pretty sure it's something in the cockpit reflecting on the windshield. I think it may be my watch. thanks Randy.
So, when you land and deploy reverse thrust what percentage of thrust are you allowing for..? Your landing looks very short where you may only be using brakes..?
120 was their last assigned ATC heading. A heading of 120, from their current position, would allow them to intercept final ("to join") of runway 8L. As they approached the extended centreline of runway 8L, they came left to align on final. - My interpretation anyway ;)
No. I made a vlog on this trip and this video is actually from the full 20 minutes of the landing at the Miami airport video that I made for the vlog. when I made the vlog I only used the best audio and the landing and then I made this video of the full landing.
Okay. I was going to say, is Miami airspace that bad that you have two Class B violators inside of a single month? But, then again, it really wouldn't surprise me that much, either. :) Thanks Jim.
A cursory search doesn't indicate any data that is easily available. I'm sure that the FAA maintains some sort of database, and they do have a database of Enforcements against operators, but if you don't catch the operator, there's no enforcement. I suspect that if you contacted the FAA, there's a FOIA page for enforcement, you might call them and inquire about other data, they would be able to tell you. However, it wouldn't surprise me if you had one or two a day. You have three airports inside of the Class B airspace, which any one of them could have a pilot busting altitude to enter the airspace, and then you have four airports just outside of the airspace. The three inside should all be controlled airports, but there's at least one of the ones just outside that isn't (if I remember my chart reading correctly). So, I don't really know. I guess it's a moot point unless one just happens to pop up in front of you while you're on approach, then it matters. :)
Good response Furtive. If you violate one and you are caught. You are in big trouble with the FAA. You can have your pilot certificate suspended and have to get remedial training.
That was Awesome. Thanks!
thanks Aus.

thanks and I'll definitely keep it up.
You guys make it look easy!! Nice flying.
thanks Bill.
Great view of the KMIA shoreline. Nice approach and landing. I could hardly feel the touchdown. You GUYS are good!
thanks James.
Great video as always! Greetings from The Netherlands

Great video, more of the same please. Love the in or outbound flights with ATC.......
thanks Randy.
Another great video! I like the ATC work. Violator wasn't a problem for you, but I wouldn't want to be him when they catch up!
I'm sure that would be an uncomfortable meeting.
Loves these videos! Thanks!
thanks Paul
Fun watch. Thanks!!
thanks.
Thank you for adding the intercom.
Thanks. When I can get it it usually ends up on my channel at some point. Can't always get it though.
you& your partner are quite a pair, you work so smoothly good job
Thanks.
Outstanding video! If you ever come to OKC, give me a shout!
I was at Wiley Post last Monday.

Flying in Oregon, I bet you've got some incredible places to fly into. What is a 7S3? is that what you're training in?
+captmoonbeam 7S3 is my home base; training in C172, N734KU - not much to look at but It has ADS-B and IFR equipped. Happy landings.
I enjoy this video a lot ..all trough breaking clouds and landing! thnx.
thanks.

I wish I could say. I only get to the corporate side of MIA every 6 or 7 years.
VERY nice Thanks !!
thanks.
great team work, yall make it look easy! I will be at Wily Post this weekend flying a cirrus sr22 ;)
thanks Brian. The Cirrus is a nice plane. I've flown in one but as a passenger. I was at Wiley post last week.
AWESOME!!
thanks.
Outstanding footage! I think sometimes, instead of a vlog, it would be better to do these.

Jim, I like the longer video with the ATC. Almost like being in the plane. Can I record a Citation landing in my logbook?
The general rule of thumb is that you can add .2 to each hour of flight time if your a captmoonbeam subscriber. it's one of those little known subscriber benefits.
Awsome!
thanks.
Lucky guys! Piloting cessna citation :)
Great shots of the Florida coast, I love that view from the right side. Great ATC, if you violate class B airspace what are the consequences besides causing havoc & unsafe situations for other aircraft.
Thanks. You would probably have your pilots certificate suspended temporarily.
Wow it's amazing when pilots violate class B. Never ceases to blow my mind how dangerous some pilots are!!
With the high volume of training in Florida I'm surprised it doesn't happen more often.
+captmoonbeam when I was still flying w my airline, anytime we came down here our heads were on swivels worried some student would pop up unannounced!?
Good point. It's the same with us.

Awesome Video. Is This A Re upload? Think I Saw This Before.
I used about a minute of it in my Miami vlog last week. This is the full landing clip.
Great footage as usual Cap.... By the way, you are still not showing up on my feedly reader? Every since YT got rid of collections, I don't subscribe to any videos, I just have them show up on my feedly reader....
thanks for the info Bobby. I'm at a loss. I guess I'll just keep making videos.

So, when you land and deploy reverse thrust what percentage of thrust are you allowing for..? Your landing looks very short where you may only be using brakes..?
this aircraft has great landing performance. We're normally using about 45-50% of takeoff thrust power when we deploy the thrust reversers.
What does it mean, "120 to join"..? Thanks! :)
120 was their last assigned ATC heading. A heading of 120, from their current position, would allow them to intercept final ("to join") of runway 8L. As they approached the extended centreline of runway 8L, they came left to align on final. - My interpretation anyway ;)
Good answer. Thanks.
Didn't you already post this video?
Not in the entirety. I used a time lapse and the landing as a short clip in the vlog episode I made of that day.
Okay, I have a question. Did you upload the WRONG video, or does Miami just ALWAYS have Class B airspace violators? :) :D
No. I made a vlog on this trip and this video is actually from the full 20 minutes of the landing at the Miami airport video that I made for the vlog. when I made the vlog I only used the best audio and the landing and then I made this video of the full landing.

Your comment makes me wonder how often they have these types of incursions that they have to deal with.
A cursory search doesn't indicate any data that is easily available. I'm sure that the FAA maintains some sort of database, and they do have a database of Enforcements against operators, but if you don't catch the operator, there's no enforcement.

Don’t mind watching again.
Thanks for watching again.
What are Class B ? What happen when you violate it?
Airspaces. Airports are listed as Class B,C,D. Bravo are your internationals, Charles are your middle type airports. Delta is smaller airports.
Good response Furtive. If you violate one and you are caught. You are in big trouble with the FAA. You can have your pilot certificate suspended and have to get remedial training.
