Loved Shanks' Daniel. He really developed the character and made it his own. Besides Teal'c, Daniel probably had the most character development then any other SG-1 member.
I've always been in awe by Michael's ability to impersonate James Spader's performance of Daniel Jackson, it was a huge aspect that went miles toward my addiction to the show.
At least he kept in shape...last time I saw R.D Anderson he looked ok but definetly a far cry from his SG1-SGU(one of the very few good things about that show were his cameos)
Honestly this feels like a Downey / iron man case. If they ever did continue/reboot stargate, I dunno if I'd ever be able to see anyone doing as good as Daniel as Shanks
when they tried to replace Daniel with Jonas for an entire season as the "archelogist geek" archetype it just didnt work... that's what I'd expect having the characters recast into new sleeves. :D
I mean he was no Daniel, but I didn't expect him to be either. After the initial awkwardness I quite enjoyed Jonas, particularly that wonder of his about earthen inventions/habits (weather channel lol). Kinda like a less stoic Teal'c in a way.
@@Ghostly_One1 Yeah true, his always curious and sort of naive behavior was spectacular, and in a way, admirable. Most of us lose that along with childhood. This made his character interesting. But how he was undoubtedly forced into Daniel's shoes made it feel awkward.
This might seem condescending, but I was very surprised about the interviewer. I have never seen her (afaIk) or this channel, but she was very impressive. Going through several shows and genres and always keeping it rolling smoothly
