Here are the major ones I've spotted 2:22 that's the area outside Dark Kahn's palace from MK vs DC 2:44 that's the room where the deadly alliance and Raiden fought Onaga in MK-deadly alliance 2:53 and that's the Pyramid of Argus from MK Armageddon
Richard Epcar is the definitive Raiden voice, at least Thunder God Raiden. He makes Raiden sound old and wise, yet imposing and powerful. Kinda like Gandalf.
gotta love that instead of rebooting the entire franchise they decided to make multiple timelines as canon. You don't see this often in franchises since the plot seems more for DC comics but in this case it nailed it!
To think all this time there was someone always bringing Liu Kang and Raiden into conflict. I always noticed that happening a lot in some previous Mortal Kombat games.
And we also got the likelihood Kronika has been involved since Shinnok's defeat at Liu's hands at the end of Mortal Kombat 4, given it disrupted her plans to have him and Cetrion being the representations of darkness and light respectively, so she may have helped the Deadly Alliance, even if it meant Onaga would rise again, and in turn making Raiden think he reset the timeline when she had done it when Shao Kahn won the prize in Armageddon, given I'm sure Kronika would have preferred Shinnok obtaining it to aid her plans. And then making Raiden misread his visions in MK9 so he and Liu Kang would go into conflict, added by what Raiden's actions unintentionally caused.
That's what I said the first time I saw that part of the Story Mode: "So that's the MOTHER of all the mysteries of the Mortal Kombat universe. And that's not all, it was finally revealed."
Considering Raiden beat both the Deadly Alliance (Shang Tsung with Liu Kang's soul absorbed) and four revenants as well as Liu Kang x 2 (Revenant Liu Kang with Liu Kang soul absorbed), it's impressive that base Liu Kang fought evenly with Raiden for as long as he did.
This is Mortal Kombats greatest revelation to ever happen. Free fight, tower endings, and guest characters showing up revealed that it all could be true and canon. Even the DC and injustice stories.
Raiden (Mortal Kombat): Liu Kang, do not interfere! We have to let Shao Kahn win. Liu Kang: Let Shao Kahn win? He killed our friends, including Kitana and Kung Lao. So I'm gonna get my revenge. Raiden (Mortal Kombat): No, Liu Kang! Killing Shao Kahn will *lead to armageddon!* Liu Kang: (Sparring with Raiden) 2:04 Raiden (Mortal Kombat): Liu Kang, stop! Liu Kang: Enough of your madness! If you must die, so BE IT!
Raiden: in each one, events conspire to bring liu kang and i into conflict. Me: you forgot the other. Raiden: other? Me: you and liu kang are brought to conflict, yes. But thats not all, in each timeline and moment events conspire to bring scorpion and sub zero into conflict. In every fight they have scorpion always wins. Despite there hatred to eatchother being gone now, there will always be a reason for them to battle again. It's a never ending cycle, one that i have grown tired of
With Raiden's MK1 ending having him question why Liu Kang removed his god aspect and explaining to him what had happened before, and Raiden feeling like there's more to himself, I wonder if it will become inevitable that conflict between the two will arise again.
This game make me feel sense how they explained the dark raiden's lore, because they are created by rage, under Kronika influence, i feel bad for see that Liu Kang was one of the last fighters to die in the Piramid Of Argus before Raiden face Shao Kahn in the Armageddon timeline, before the mortal kombat 9 events happen later.
Yeah Raiden I agree with Liu Kang past scorpion isn't the enemy this time in which he doesn't work for cronica anymore but if you start fighting Liu Kang again one last time you're going to discover the truth but in the form of flashbacks of you and Liu Kang fighting each other.
@@SupportGamin2024 you sure about that? Cause even Joker Mortal Kombat 11 talk about mk vs DC , seem cannon to me. Joker even told Cassie cage about time before she born he say "you don't know? I was all about a rage!"
Wait how is Raiden able to remember the battle where he and Liu Kang fight on the rooftop? That hasn't happened to this Raiden yet he said they were in the time Liu Kang beat Shang tsung so he never experienced the fight he and Liu Kang had since that happened in this time line but in the past so how was Raiden able to remember something that hasn't even happened yet?
Because raiden exists outside of time, its not a different raiden each timeline rather the same raiden that was reset by kronika influenced by the events of that timeline. Even when he goes back in time its the same raiden just at different times
@@jovante9990 And besides he had been able to "take" the place of his future self due to the nature of the gods, I'm sure he had some lingering memories of his future self's actions, only amplified more when it came to Shinnok's amulet allowing (but not just that alone in many cases) Kronika to manipulate him. Raiden's being able to see this, when his future self as Dark Raiden when torturing Shinnok in the prologue couldn't be helped due to his mind being clearer and less driven by rage and his lack of corruption from not just the Jinsei but also because of Shinnok's amulet amplifying Kronika's influence too.
Now do you get it raiden all the fights between you and Liu Kang from the classic MK up until this day is all because of shinnok's stupid ambulance and cronica controlling your mind pulling you into the dark side.
@@BigHuskyGG What about the yellow clothing liu kang did they have him in different tribes though other times like the yellow = shirai ryu or blue = lin kuei
@@reddroid8499 I don't think the colors matter. The Lin Kuai have had multiple members with different colors. Both Sub-Zeros were blue, Smoke was grey, Cyrax was yellow, and Sektor was red. As for the shaolin monks, all though Liu Kang normally wore red pants, Kung Lao normally wore blue pants.
That's what it is-- Kronika feared the likelihood Liu Kang and Raiden would unite their powers as they did when Liu became the God of Fire so he could have the strength to battle Kronika. Even as a Titan, she still was fearful of the possibilities of lesser beings.
A pretty cool gesture of uniting all the previous timelines to different games the fans played across history, sadly atributted to one of the worst written villians in media. That takes skill ngl netherrealm.

Just this one scene and they made the whole series canon, including MK vs DC. Genius writing
When?
@@MisterManGaming By adding Dark Kahn's palace in the game. You can spot it in 2:22
I have always love the voice actor for Raiden. It fits so well with his look.

Marvel basically did that with the Multiverse

Liu kang is actually close to becoming a demigod that’s why when raiden gives him his powers liu kang became the god of thunder and fire
Raiden just held back.
Is it Canon that Raiden defeated the Deadly Alliance? I thought it was more alluded to Kung Lao being the one to avenge Kang's death.

This scene was so climactic when I watched it, it gave me shivers
Was the battle of revenant Liu Kang against Dark Raiden from Mortal Kombat: Armageddon? The location looks like the pyramid of Argus.
That was zombie liu kang they just used the same look. That was the pyramid though
Really like raiden's character
There's a reason why NRS keeps teasing us with the pyramid of Argus, maybe armageddon is inevitable after all...
