I appreciate how in depth you went with this! You're the first person I've come across to break down the thing and show how it works and what needs maintenance.
This was the video I was looking for when I bought my Tab 320 three years ago. I love the cassette option, and since it's just me, I have no issues keeping it clean. I learned so much from this video. Thank you.
I haven't been watching long, but this one is a true "crap shoot" of a video. Lol. I live in Arizona. I go to the rim lakes often, the flies tickling the backside is a true nightmare. Not to mention the occasional mosquito or three getting you when doing your business. Lol. Keep em coming.
Another great video. This is by far the best cassette toilet video on RUclips. On my toilet the half full sensor doesn't seem to work. I did an experiment and filled the tank with water and the red FULL light works but not the halfway. Not sure why. I'll probably play around with it over the winter but the whole mechanism is pretty delicate.
Thank you. Hmmm, interesting. When you get the chance, see if the cap is on the end of the float or if you're missing a magnet possibly. Also, try pulling your flush hand up and off, then pull the indicator panel up and check the circuit board and connections attached.
@@DSWadventures That's probably a good idea. I'm camping this weekend so I can play around with it once I clean it. It was really helpful when you held up just the cap and sensor into position without the tank. Now I know for sure where the magnets are in relation to the sensor in the cassette bay.
Appreciate your videos immensely...I'm about to pull the trigger on my own T@b 320 Black Canyon. I do have a question on a completely different topic. I understand that Nucamp recommends that the glycol in the Alde system be replaced every couple of years. My rv dealer is telling me that service requires special tools to execute and will cost about $1600 at the dealer. This seems like a huge expense every two years! Have you researched this at all or have any thoughts? Thanks!
Thank you for watching. Yes, you should have the glycol fluhed every two years. The reason for that is that the anti corrosion chemicals break down after a while and will corrod the pipes, kind of like a car radiator. 1600 bucks is insane!!!! that is double the highest quote amount. I have yet to have mine done yet, but alde glycol is about 60 bucks a gallon on amazon, they will most likely use 4 or so gallons to flush and fill. The labor rate is probably around 200 and an hour max at an rv dealer, with maybe 2 hours of work. I would definitely find another place to have it done at. Some have done it on their own by making tube's with a pump to drain and flush the system, but it could be tricky to get all the air bubbles out of the line. By the way, you should also keep a gallon of the correct alde fluid for your model year for top offs also, but the rates the rv dealers are changing are insane these days. I may devise my own way to flush the adle system myself, I refuse to pay that.
Thanks for the videos - very helpful... I wouldn't mind seeing an episode on gray water or black water smell. I have been fighting that issue for some time on my TAB320 and can't seam to find the issue. Have you had that issue? The smell seams to come from under the sink in the cabinet for some reason. Anyway Thanks again!
I did only once. Make sure you fill your grey tank up about 3/4 and drive with it to slosh it around to get anything out, then dump. I also use thetford grey tank oder treatment here and there. Just pour a little in each drain and wash it down the grey tank. Let that slosh around for a bit and sit, then dump. Hopefully, that should help. If not, you may have something caught in your drains maybe, or the grey tank may need to be professionally flushed out. Thanks for watching.
amazing video, thank you! When you fill your solution to keep the rings lubed and keep it there for 8 hours, do you have it off to the side or put it directly in the toilet with the flap closed?
I put it directly in the toilet until it covers the rubber black toilet seal in the cassette. Let it sit for a while, then you just flush it whenever you need to.
Thanks. As long as you keep up on the cleaning, the tank stays pretty clean actually. I may toss it for the new one every 3 years or so, we will see what else craps out. 😂
This video would be much more entertaining with about 4 gallons of chocolate milk.😅 just kidding. I think for $300 I would buy a spare and replace it every 2 to 3 years before I go try and rebuilding it. 🤢 I'm looking to buy a tab next year so thanks for all the great vids about yours. sub'd
Hahaa, right. If you watch the stealth dump video i made, i say to take some ice coffee with you just in case you spill, you can blame it on that. 🤣😂Very cool, the T@bs are neat man, and thank you.

Thanks. It is fun to do, plus another cassette how to video out there was really needed.

No problem. Yes, for a small trailer, the cassette is perfect I think. I totally agree. Glad you liked the video. Much appreciated.
These technical video are great ! This one is sure to make a splash !
Thanks hahaha!
This toilet video proved to be a great alternative to election night coverage. Thanks for sharing. 👍
Haha thanks.

@stevenjoseph8980 if you find the issue, let me know. I'm curious.
@@DSWadventures I will. I'll play around with it this weekend.
I would use some heat to melt the cap seam. A soldering iron for example.
Good idea. Ive been thinking about that also.

Great video, pretty sure I’d just use the new tank instead of trying to fix the poo covered tank.

@@DSWadventures lol I did see that... 👍
@vrich3733 🤣🤣
HIV, Mrsa , Hepatitis, filthy humans…. That is the whole point of having my own bathroom. For me, it’s the main reason.
😂👍 thanks for watching.
