@@RCKnockout I noticed with the 12t, the high speed gearing does increase the top speed, but i was severely disappointed with the performance, and it got to way tohot.
@@RCKnockout me too, really all of traxxas 2wd brushed version has surprised me on there speed and reliability, even some of the used models I have bought have really impressed me
I know that they are geared differently, and the Slash more so for speed than the Stampede, but the weight difference is likely the reason for the slightly higher speed this time around. A stock Slash is about 300 grams heavier than a stock Stampede.
@@RCKnockout I'm interested to see how it performs on rougher terrain. Obviously it's high center of gravity wouldn't work across big rocks and such, but maybe a rough dirt road or something?
@@RCKnockout yeah but still the slash is pretty darn fun when we go to a bmx/motocross park or even a skatepark but I think they are both amazing car for beginners
I do the stock pinion With only the high speed spur gear. It makes it just a LIL faster, and doesn't overheat or ruin the motor
Yeah that’s not a bad idea if you wanna keep the motor intact….

@@arturos.l.2248 yeah I’m still running the high speed gearing but now I’m brushless
@@RCKnockout can't beat a good brushless setup
@@arturos.l.2248 agreed!
I bought a second hand brushed stampede and loved it so much I went and got the VXL 4x4 version, love them both!
Nice man! So far I’m impressed by the 2wd Stampede

@@woodsyrc888_ yeah they definitely make good rc cars!

I wouldn’t have guessed that the Slash was heavier tbh
The Stampede is capable for good speeds , The VXL shocked me on 3s ! Boogies down the road
Oh no doubt!
Hi, has anything broken on your rc truck? Any upgrades?
Yeah feel free to check out the playlist 👍😉
This rc has genuinely surprised me with its performance. I should've gotten this as my first rc.
Yeah it’s pretty quick! And fun to wheelie!

@@legendary00x77 yeah we’re just gonna have to see! It definitely has a high roll center
Wheel bearings, all around & YW. lol Fun truck for the buck.
Oh yeah! It’s a fun little truck!
It’s a really great rc car but I think I still prefer the look of the slash and and the jump performance
The Slash definitely is a better looking machine in my opinion
@@RCKnockout yeah and I think it handles more well jumps and rough terrain I think it’s less jumpy
@@Twisted_Knob oh yeah it definitely is better for rough terrain than the Slash…..the extra clearance is super helpful too

What charger did you use for that Lipo battery?
I use a Venom charger
@@RCKnockout Do you mind sending a link for the one you use?
@@AndreaM-o4l I bought it over 6 years ago…they may have come out with a newer style…I can’t find any new ones for sale online currently
@@RCKnockout oh, ok. Do you think I could use a Traxxas Easy Peak?
@@AndreaM-o4l yeah I think it’s possible with non-Traxxas batteries…I’ve never personally tried it though
The nimh was a 7 cell right ? So that's 8.4 volts. The 2s is only 7.2 volts
That’s correct
7.4*
@@anonymous_message yeah you’re right 👍😉
I miss your intro when you say "hey guys rc knockout, my names nolen"
I do it sometimes still…..but my analytics tell me a lot of people click out during that intro
U should see how fast you can make it go
That’s definitely a possibility!
