I'm hoping that Kenya and Uganda will get together and restore the meter gauge railway between Nairobi and Kampala again. I've ridden from Nairobi to Nanyuki and Kisumu. Both great rain rides. Also great for freight transportation!

IDK... But thanks for sharing, btw I didn't see any trains in Kampala. All I saw were old tracks partially buried as if not functioned for a long while.

If only the government would improve on the rail network in Uganda. It would help decongest the roads.

Wow people living and selling their products so close to the railroad can’t be safe or healthy with all the dust the train churns out. And it isn’t a good look for people on the train either. But what do I know.!!

Developing countries need dedicated paved walking routes and sidewalks as much as we need tarmacked vehicle roads. Nobody seems to realize that as obvious as it is.
As far as the stands/booths/stalls, I understand this is how the tradespeople make a living to feed their kids. I also realize the government can not organize and advise the vendors on how to properly conduct illegal activities without literary kicking them out. That's a tough one.
