Black Ops 2 pretty much made the foundation for Black Ops 3 with Origins. So, in a way it does connect to the other Black Ops games but not by much. Black Ops 3 pretty much almost explained everything about the lore.
This was the last cod I actually played a decent amount of. I played some infinite warfare and cod 4 remastered, but after that I lost all desire to play.

now the campaign may be disappointing, I agree, but the main focus on the entire BO3 life-cycle was mostly around zombies. The first map, Shadows of Evil was a perfect map for a free one, it had something constantly to do, a good easter egg, and a good plot twist at the end of said easter egg, and this continues on in the first dlc map, Der Eisendrache, where you play as the gen 2 versions of the main heroes, continued off of origins. This started a whole easter egg chain ending in revelations, yet....the EE cutscene was overall disappointing in the end for a finale......we made something great though, as a community. We managed to get Treyarch to give us a remastered version of classic maps like Kino der Toten...or the final dlc of BO2, origins. overall the BO3 Zombies community were more hyped for the zombies campaign on the release date of BO3, and the campaign may seem like a misdirection they made it up in the zombies campaign, a finale of years of zombies starting at the 4th COD game, COD WaW.
Black Ops 3 was an almost brilliant game.. what makes a brilliant cod game a brilliant game is the balance of amazement between Campaign, co-op (zombies), and of course the Multi-player. Unfortunately the zombies only had the few out of the many good maps.. the campaign was a tragedy. BUT the Multi-player was brilliant. I'm not just talking about the public match but the competition within the game! If you ask any MLG pro that played in this short era. I guarantee you that they would all agree that this competitive season was absolutely great and innovative. The arena, custom games, and the tournament's was truly outstanding. I hope that Treyarch continues off black Ops 3. (The multiplayer that is..)

i actually like this video, it reminds me of the some of the good times I had playing BO3 before it died. Thank you Erik, this made me genuinely laugh and bring back some great memories of grinding out dark matter and hero gear, complaining about supply drops and good times were to be had in a full squad on a Friday night'

Black Ops 2 pretty much made the foundation for Black Ops 3 with Origins. So, in a way it does connect to the other Black Ops games but not by much. Black Ops 3 pretty much almost explained everything about the lore.
It did connect wtf.
The Origins story line connected with the SOE EE and the other EE in zombies. It wasn't confyaing at all.

It’s funny to me watching this 8 years later. The multiplayer in this game suffered greatly, but it was the greatest zombies experience teach has ever created. So great that it still has thousands of active players across all platforms

YaBoyZachary I only liked the zombies and I have so much memories of it, Even though it's only been in the course of a year and a few months, I somehow feel nostalgic for some of the maps.
Joez Base Shadows of Evil was awful, and the fact that we had to pay extra for a decent map kinda disappointed me. But the other maps were cool.

Im so hyped
now the campaign may be disappointing, I agree, but the main focus on the entire BO3 life-cycle was mostly around zombies. The first map, Shadows of Evil was a perfect map for a free one, it had something constantly to do, a good easter egg, and a good plot twist at the end of said easter egg, and this continues on in the first dlc map, Der Eisendrache, where you play as the gen 2 versions of the main heroes, continued off of origins. This started a whole easter egg chain ending in revelations, yet....the EE cutscene was overall disappointing in the end for a finale......we made something great though, as a community. We managed to get Treyarch to give us a remastered version of classic maps like Kino der Toten...or the final dlc of BO2, origins.
overall the BO3 Zombies community were more hyped for the zombies campaign on the release date of BO3, and the campaign may seem like a misdirection they made it up in the zombies campaign, a finale of years of zombies starting at the 4th COD game, COD WaW.
But i feel like shadows is alienating to causal fans you know the main audience of this game

Black Ops 3 was an almost brilliant game.. what makes a brilliant cod game a brilliant game is the balance of amazement between Campaign, co-op (zombies), and of course the Multi-player. Unfortunately the zombies only had the few out of the many good maps.. the campaign was a tragedy. BUT the Multi-player was brilliant. I'm not just talking about the public match but the competition within the game! If you ask any MLG pro that played in this short era. I guarantee you that they would all agree that this competitive season was absolutely great and innovative. The arena, custom games, and the tournament's was truly outstanding. I hope that Treyarch continues off black Ops 3. (The multiplayer that is..)
