QantasLink is the regional subsidiary of Qantas Airways, formed in 2002, the airline serves more than 50 destinations across all states and territories in Australia. Most Notably they operate their DHC-8 200s between Sydney and Lord Howe Island. They currently operate a fleet of 103 aircraft consisting of A320s (11), B717s (20), DHC-8 Q400s (31), DHC-8 300s (16), DHC-8 200s (3), E190s (5), Fokker 100s (17).

Delays are more in the travel landscape now, my Devonport to Melb flight was over 2 hrs delayed too.. I don’t book connecting flights anymore, I use a day between flights now. Great review Luke, have a great Christmas. Safe travels..

I do book connections - sometimes but I tend to give myself 3 hours minimum between flights

As an ex Crew member on the 717 it's my absolute favourite, any YQX was one of my favourite to fly on close second to YQW! But future tip, Launceston is actually pronounced "Lon"ceston 😊

It’s so much fun flying on the 717, it’s a shame that they’ll become more rare soon but hey it was well worth the fun!

Great review Luke! The 717 is among my favourite aircraft along with the Fokker 100! Very timely review considering the A220 is now officially down under and sadly that means a bitter sweet moment when the 717 will be retired by QantasLink😢

Flew to Launceston with my folks and sister in 1979. It was on a TAA DC9 from Melbourne. Coming back was their 727-200 adv. The 717 I flew on was Alice Springs to Uluru. Pretty old aircraft just like me now. Time does fly. Pun Intended. 😂 Tasmania was great. Loved your videos.

I've had a mate fly on a QantasLink flight, from Melbourne to Perth recently and he got delayed by 4 hours!
