Recently I bought some NEWQIDA brand track from Hammond Toys: www.hammondtoy.com It won't connect to the Lionel track circle, but it costs about half as much. So I mainly just use the NEWQIDA track now.
@@Hari-ur9ve You're welcome. If you want to use all your track, you can make two NEWQIDA-to-Lionel adapter tracks by cutting two straight pieces (one of each type) in half. Then reconnect the opposite tracks (using glue, bracing, etc) so each end is of a different type. I did that too ... works pretty nice.
Love it! I want to set up about the same amount of track. Do you run the train wide open for the video? I want to get into trains and I'd like to start with a polar express but can't decide on G or O gauge. Any thoughts? Thanks for our time. Mike
+docshocker Hi, glad you liked it! My train seems to have three speeds, and I only used slow and medium in this vid. I picked this G gauge Lionel, because it's battery powered, which means ... the train and track is far less expensive, and there is no need to run wires, and no concerns about voltage drops from dirty wheels/track. Just recharge the batteries when they get low. This same layout/train in O gauge would cost a lot more, but it would be higher quality and a far more realistic model. Unfortunately, nobody yet makes a high quality battery-powered model train. Merry Christmas! :-)
Seriously, you filmed this with an iPhone? Wow! That's totally awesome! Sadly, my 9-year old flip phone doesn't even take still photos so I guess I won't be using that for mine. ;-)

Sorry, I don't know how. I would take it apart and check for a lose wire. Or buy a second one like I did. Then you have spare parts if something brakes, plus twice the cars and twice the track. Merry Christmas.

Hi, I have a train like that but it only has 4 parts. We put the batteries on the remote and the train but it does not work. Should I have a hidden switch?
The Lionel PE set only comes with the locomotive, one tender, and two cars, and they are all designed shorter than scale. So I bought two sets and combined them into one train.
