I’ve been testing one to see if I should get one and it’s helpful for where I live. The drive came with the tic watch e3 but I find it a hassle to start and stop using the watch so I am considering getting the controller since it seems easier to use than the watch. Especially when going through intersection or parking lot where cars may back out and not see me.

The Speed Control Dial is definitely the way to go if you're finding the wearable a challenge!

I'm in the U.S. and have been advised that a proprietary wearable is longer available. If I want a wearable option I will need to purchase a smart watch separately. Does a smart watch work the same and if so, is Apple or Android recommended?

Hi there. The wearables have also been discontinued in Europe. The PushTracker E3 was actually a device called the 'MobVoi TicWatch E3'. You can get this as a smartwatch and install the PushTracker app to use with your SmartDrive.
However, the Apple Watch seemed to get more positive feedback when it came to usability, and battery life. The Apple Watch was never sold by Permobil, and would have to be purchased independently.

I just got the speed control this week and started using it... It gives very slower speed when compared to smart watch control. Is that what expected or do I need to change anything

Hi, if you download the PushTracker App to your smartphone, you can adjust the acceleration and speed settings...

@@BeyondMobilityUKhow do I pair the speed dial control to the app?

@@hotwheels1112 run a software update using the PushTracker app on your Smartphone or connected device (Tic Watch / Apple Watch). Once the SmartDrive is updated, you need to change the settings to show it's controlled by the dial instead of the PushTracker or Apple Watch - which can be done on your PushTracker app

Do i need to use the watch, ive had two different types, currently have the ticwatch e2, have lost confidence in it and have been offered the speed control dial, is the watch still necessary with it?

      Hi,
You can use the Speed Control Dial without any watch or wearable. You'll need to make sure your SmartDrive has the latest software installed which can be done via the push tracker app on your watch or smartphone for the Speed Control Dial to work.

@@BeyondMobilityUK thanks. Yes someone is going to be setting it up for me, I just want to make 100% sure that the watch isn't used. Does the speed control dial have much of an effect on the battery life of the smart drive?

@@hotwheels1112 no, it won't make the SmartDrive battery last any less.
