The Volkswagen Passat 2.0 TDI BlueMotion is a front wheel drive automobile, with the engine mounted in the front, and a 4 door saloon (sedan) body. The power is produced by a turbocharged engine of 2 litre capacity. This unit features double overhead camshaft valve gear, 4 cylinder layout, and 4 valves per cylinder. It develops 138 bhp (140 PS/103 kW) of power at 4200 rpm, and maximum torque of 320 N·m (236 lb·ft/32.6 kgm) at 1750-2500 rpm. The engine transmits power to the wheels via a 6 speed manual gearbox. Quoted kerb weight is 1532 kg. The Volkswagen Passat 2.0 TDI BlueMotion is said to be able to achieve a maxiumum speed of 213 km/h or 132 mph, claimed fuel consumption is 5.6/4.0/4.6 l/100km urban/extra-urban/combined, and carbon dioxide emissions are 119.0 g/km.
